“i’ve been eating at halal guys since the only location was the cart near the hilton in midtown and this is by far the best location & experiece i’ve ever had.the person who greeted & helped us, hazem, is an absolute delight! he is extremely courteous with such warm and welcoming energy. 10/10 stars, incredible, truly incredible ✨“
“We got the mixed grill platter and the shrimp platter. Both were excellent. As much as I love my shrimp, I think I may have liked the mixed grill more. I expected the "white sauce" that came with it to be tzatziki or something similar but it was more like ranch instead. Maybe that was to use also with the lettuce & tomatoes on the side. The hot sauce they use is also very tasty. We also got a chocolate shake. I expected big things from a homemade shake like that. It was good but not as good as I'd hoped for.“

“Just a lost soul visiting from japan. I happened to be in that neighborhood that day and stumbled into this place. When you step in you are acknowledged with great energy.Food was delicious. Fresh and generous. Nothing was left of the lamb kebab.“

“Drawing its roots in the noble tradition of Yemeni coffee, this coffee house first serves fabulous beverages: especially taste the Sanaani, cardamom coffee ($10 for a pot of sharing coffee), or a classic "pour-over" ( $8 for the large model) to appreciate a beautiful expression coming from high-class Arabica coffee beans, processed with respect for the product. The typical pastries, Khaliat Alnahl and Sabaya, or even the coconut Basboassa are really all very tasty. Delicious !“

“This is my second time eating here, I was hesitant to review just incase the place gets packed. But all things beautiful it has to be seen, felt and especially tasted. The food is amazing! I swear im already know that to order the next time I come here and I haven’t even gotta my plate that I ordered. I’ve been all over the world with the army and I have eaten food cooked my local. I judge the locals by their cooking. And every plate i have devoured is made with love and care! Just like the Palestinians who run this place. God bless. World peace!“

“Alhamdulillah and thanks to Allah to direct me to them. I just wanna say that’s the best halal chicken and lamb over rice in this whole entire planet. I am a big fan of it. But, I never ate this kind of food before. I recommend 1000% . Trust me, it will not disappoint anyone. The guy was really nice and gentleman. The taste of the food is unbelievable and really really good. I drove all the way from Cape may to Brooklyn and it’s 100% worth it. Everyone must try their food.“

“My husband and I went to Zaffron Bloom two days ago. We ordered Shashlik Kebab, which was very tasty. Zaffron Bloom is a family-owned business, and the staff were friendly and kind; they even brought us a complimentary Shirazi salad and appetizer.I look forward to going there again to try more of their delicious food, as they have many options on their menu.“

“Easily one of my favorite spots for Middle Eastern eats in the city -- every single thing we had here was so delicious. The ambiance was really lovely and the servers are great at recommending dishes. This restaurant is perfect to share dishes family-style. The Labneh here is so special, truly one of my favorite I've eaten. I cannot recommend it enough, am definitely coming back soon.“

“Great service and delicious food. Try chicken vegetables soup it's yummy. Also chicken Mediterranean bowl is our favorite. Decor of the restaurant is also very charming perfect place for a date night. Beer selection is good something to choose for everyone. Highly recommend one of the best places to chill and eat in Williamsburg. You learn a thing or two bout Egypt. ?“

“Located north of Radio city hall, there seems to be a new competitor coming up for Adel's famous halal. This place is run by Afghans and they are really warm and welcoming people to their food truck also the service is quick while the food is served hot and fresh. After reading some reviews here, I opted for a chicken chapli kebab platter. Chapli kebab is basically a ethnic Pashtun dish from the border region of Afghanistan-Pakistan. The minced chicken was good while adding the right amount of spices to give a succulent taste, for the first time, I had cumin rice and it tasted good and was a welcome change from the regular saffron rice available elsewhere. These people provided fries alongside salad and topped it with white sauce which had the right amount of thickness while their mint sauce was a welcome addition to this. I don't usually go for the spicy sauce as I'm not a big fan of it.Overall it's a great experience to try something for the first time apart from halal guys and adel's. The big advantage of the food is that it lacks food coloring like adel's and whatever prepared is done in the right way while also the wait time is very less compared to adel's and halal guys.“

“A-mazing!! Tiny little hole in the wall Mediterran lunch spot. Only six tables and the chef was on his own that day. No servers or cleanup staff that I could see. He did it all! But Best was the Food!! Tasty and Huge, we had falafel, wraps in handmade thin bread. I ordered the Vegan sandwich, which included roasted eggplant, and cauliflower, hummus, lettuce tomatoes, and french fries! It was warm with a juice or gravy of some sort. It was delicious, if messy.! I look forward to my next visit.“

“Stopped by Holy Pita for a quick bite before dinner. We ordered a few appetizers including the falafel, sumac fries, Moroccan cigars and wings. The fries were my favorite. Nice and crispy, packed with flavor. The Moroccan cigars were a pleasant surprise. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I trusted the recommendation given by the cashier and happy we gave it a try.“

“We were looking for Israeli food for my dad's birthday dinner. We got a table for 8 and were sat in the back room. It was pretty tight in there. While our waiter was nice, the restaurant was super full and I don't think it could handle all the groups of people well. We each ordered drinks and the drinks didn't come out when we got our appetizers. Waited even longer for them. For appetizers, we shared a bunch of dishes. The hummus really is delicious and the warm pita bread is great. We asked for more pita but unfortunately the pita was brought out when we got our main dishes and we no longer needed it. The restaurant forgot my chicken schnitzel dish so I just shared the burger with my husband. They also ran out of fries for the night and it was only 730pm.. the restaurant has lots of potential but needs to figure out a better system for food and service. They were super apologetic and did comp the pita bread and dessert for my dads birthday. The babka dessert is absolutely a delicious chocolate heaven!“

“I know this place just opened, but I extremely highly recommend. A few of my friends came to eat here and so I decided to give it a try. Walking in, I was surprised how there was literally no one there but a ton of workers which I guess was great for me as they were super attentive. I was a bit surprised by the prices were pretty high for something that was supposed to be take-out, but the minute they start making the shawarma, I knew why it was more expensive. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma platter and it was delicious! Perhaps one of the best shawarmas I've had in the city. First of all, they gave us a platter just for all the toppings, did I mention that they are unlimited, that they had. Sometimes the toppings don't have that much flavor, but each one was very complex and flavorful. The chopped salad was light and fresh which balanced out the finely chopped pickles which added a sour taste. The red cabbage slaw which was slightly savory and slightly sour balanced out the onions that had a slight charred on it. I was so delighted by all the different toppings, which is where I think the place definitely shines. The chicken itself was okay, tender but not crazier than normal. Overall, I had an amazing experience and especially with the portion sizes, the platter could easily feed a family of 4 with additional leftovers. I think it will take me at least 6-7 meals before eating it all but I did add some of my own rice to counteract the bounty of flavors. I will say that they don't automatically give you the rice or the fries so big reminder to ask them for that when you come.“

“This is my favorite Middle Eastern food spot. I always get pick-up, but the vibe seems nice there. It's a little small inside though. The lamb pitza is to die for. You must try this place, and don't forget to order their freshly-made hummus; it's the best I've ever tasted, and several of my friends agreed.“

“Intimate restaurant with great vegetarian options. Halloumi, labne, crispy cauliflower and veggie curry were standouts. Also shoutout to the bartender for the gold rush cocktail (no longer on the menu, but just as good as we remembered).Dietary restrictions: Waiter was knowledgeable about ingredients and helped me navigate a nut and sesame allergy.“

“Delicious food! Pretty restaurant. No issues with the host but I know others have complained. Out server was great. Gave us good recommendations on what to order and we really enjoyed the evening. Not a cheap place but I'd say it's worth it“

“Wow this was the best middle Eastern food I've had at a restaurant. I wish I had a chance to meet the owner because I have so much respect for the multitude of levels her dishes had. I had one dish that could be tasted in 5 different ways with the variety of sauce combinations available on the plate alone. The prices to me were well below what they deserved to be. Whenever I go back to New York I will definitely be back here. It also hit close to home for me because my Sita used to make kibeh and it was a joy trying an elevated version of what she used to make from the pistachio baklava to the kibeh itself. So happy this place exists.“

“This is a halal Algerian spot with very authentic food. They have sandwiches and platters and some flavorful side dishes. I had the merguez sandwich and chicken sandwich, and a couple side dishes. The Merguez was amazing, very delicious sausage type dish in a hero roll with fries inside. There's not a lot of seating space so it's a great takeout spot.“

“Good hole-in-the-wall falafel place. Simple, no frills, good food. Macdougal street is really cool, a few other nice spots for cheap food......used to be look better before they added the outdoor tents, they really break up the vibe. Maybe if they disappear once the weather improves. Falafel was solid, but a little too messy and the hummus was a bit too runny.Overall: 3.5/5“

“Visited American Dream Mall and decided to find some good food to eat! Came across this delicious Turkish restaurant. I had the chicken Adana kabob and my family members had salmon lamb chops lanb Adana, which was all wonderful. THE LENTIL SOUP, one of the best I have had!! Great portions, about $20-$30 a person. I am stuffed! Deniz was the gentleman who helped us and was super attentive! He recommended some yummy Turkish sodas and desserts. Great service, would definitely come here again!“

“The beautiful, intimate atmosphere and absolutely top notch comfort food would be worth it alone - BUT the service was also awesome. After we were graciously seated without a reservation (try to book ahead because you really won't want to miss this place), the staff was so kind, friendly, and attentive. Absolutely everything we had was wonderful but the knafeh actually brought a tear to my eye. ❤️ Absolutely would recommend 5 out of 5 stars.“

“Best food we ate in NYC, especially because we can't get it in San Francisco. The $10 price point makes it even more delicious and worth the hour wait in line. Portions are perfect for post-show munchies and you can tell the meat is so fresh. Always ask for extra white sauce!“

“Went here on a whim when our original plans fell through and we had an amazing experience. The food was all so good everything from the salad and pita to the bbq fish and taojine. Definitely felt more local. Not packed but a good amount of people. A bit pricy but that's seafood for you. Will definitely be going back.“

“The food was amazing! I was born and raised in Turkey so I know how the real deal tastes and this is the real deal. I wish I lived in NYC so I would visit this restaurant very frequently. We got Iskender kebap and Adana kebap. Both were very authentic and delicious. The portions were quite large that I couldn't finish mine. Turkish tea was brewed to perfection. The service is very quick and professional. The only room for improvement is the ambiance. The place needs some updates/fixes.“

“This place is cozy and has an amazing variety of Mediterranean cuisine. Excellent service! The pita is perfectly soft and goes very well with their homemade hummus and baba ganoush. Every dish is authentic and delicious. From their fresh mint lemonade to their dessert, everything was wonderful. I hope they stay around for a long time because we’ll be eating here more often. Thank you!“
