“This hot pot restaurant offers a fantastic family-style dining experience. Despite being busy at times, the wait to be seated is usually short. The food is consistently delicious and fresh, making it a top choice for hot pot enthusiasts You make a choice of the broth you want and then the meat with a HUGE selection of fresh veggies noodles and so much more. There's also a section to create your own sauces, which is abundant in selection. Then you end it with some yogurt or ice cream. Free parking I believe it's BYOB.”

Soft but a little chewy still for the fun and love of us carnivores. The oyster omelets was a surprise delight. We also had the pickled seafood. Good. Good. Good.”

“Great food, clean restaurant, not so great service. The food tastes good and the buffet selection is great, but I don't know why the Koreans working there are secretly irritated with the customers who are responsible for forgetting what they ordered. I was really puzzled.”

“I had a family gathering in Kkotsongi and visited this place after being recommended by an acquaintance. The taste of the charcoal-grilled ribs was great. More than anything. Make sure the manager is attentive and provides side dishes to even the children. Just cover the plate. When eating cold noodles. Go back with new chopsticks. Number of children to see them off and small snacks until they leave. I complimented our manager and promised that we would eat there, so we had a pleasant dinner. Thank you.”

“Mushroom bean sprout dolsot bibimbap was delicious. It is a style of eating mixed with soy sauce bibim sauce rather than red pepper paste bibim sauce. Since there is no tip and it's a cheap place, I thought they wouldn't provide soup or anything like that, but they also came with a bowl of gomguk (kimchi, radish radish kimchi, water, and serving).”

“For anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and delicious food this is place to go. First of all, the customer service is a unique experience. Instead of the staff checking up at random moments, they provide a button allowing you to call for assistance. As for the food, it was extremely tasteful and well balanced. We had wide variety of food including the shrimp tempura roll, seared beef roll, chicken kaarage, and the shrimp tempura undon soup. It was all delicious and came out at a good space. To anyone looking for a perfect anniversary spot, I highly recommend Kumade.”

YANGJI BBQ 阳地串店 6 E Columbia Ave, Palisades Park Chinese • $$

“I'll give this place 5 stars just for the food as that's what matters most for me. You need to make reservations several days ahead for dinners. After 8PM, it's a bit easier to do walk in but still might need reservations.Size of the restaurant is small with only few tables. I'd imagine it will have a more cozy ambience for snowy winter evenings elevating the dining experience.Food wise, it brought back good old feelings of having skewers out in Korea. I'd bring my own Baijiu to complete the food pairing since they don't sell those in the restaurant.”

Urban Tomato 435 Brinkerhoff Ave, Palisades Park Pizza • $

“The pizza in my memory was never salty. At some point, pizza had become salty, sometimes with visible salt on top of the pizza...even in NYC...that I no longer enjoyed pizza. We tried the Classic Cheese Pizza. The crust was thin but crunchy. The sauce was perfectly seasoned; NOT SALTY! We also tried the Bruschetta and the Fungi. We didn't love these flavors as much. Bruschetta could use more cheese, according to my daughter. The Fungi, I loved the toppings but the truffle oil was a bit too strong for my taste. If you love truffle oil, though... But we enjoyed every bite of the crust. We will definitely return for the cheese pizza, and I'm looking forward to trying other toppings.”

“Great spot to enjoy some naengmyun, refreshing potato-based noodles in a cold broth. They have affordable prices and since it's a self-service restaurant, no tipping is required! Namhansansung 500 10th St 2nd fl, Palisades Park Korean • $$$

“I had been craving raw marinated crabs for who even knows how long. So I jumped at the opportunity to go when a friend told me about this place. They do require about an hour and a half notice if you want certain things on the menu, so I would just call in beforehand so that you can order and you don't have to wait there. The raw marinated crab is so good! Both the soy and spicy marinades are delicious, even by themselves on rice. The crabs are so meaty and juicy and creamy. You don't even have to eat it with rice, it's so good on its own. The seafood pancake was a really good side dish to add on. Nothing too special on its own but just nice to have and you can dip it in the soy marinade. The abalone porridge was good, but if you're getting the crabs, I don't think it's really necessary to have. Because you already get rice and seafood. But it's still a good homey porridge.”

“The meat was tasty. Side dishes, as you would expect. They use real charcoal which was really nice. There was no wait, which was also great. The only bad thing was that they dropped a huge piece of raw meat in our soup. And they only said sorry. They didn't get us another piece of meat, another soup, or comp any portion of our meal. That was really disappointing. But other than that it was a nice meal.”

“Fried Chicken is not my thing, but I eat it once in a while. For me, amongst all fried chicken, Korean Fried Chicken is the best. Amongst all Korean Fried Chicken (in the tri state), BB.Q Chicken is the best. You can say, BB.Q Chicken is "as good as it gets". For those who remember "As good as it gets" the movie, and remember Nicholson saying to Hunt, "You make me want to be a better person", I say, "BB.Q Chicken makes me want to eat more fried chicken". That is how good it is.”

“This Iike my 3rd times here with my boyfriend, I can’t believe we found a go to spot like this spot, we drove all the way to NY to NJ just to eat this delicious hot tofu soup. It’s very cheap for it price which comes with rice, appetizers, eggs and the soup itself. It was very fresh and tasty I can feel that every was very flavorful. The customer service was amazing everyone greeted us and wished us a goodnight and have a nice day. Which I felt very welcome and very appreciated it. When I finished some of the appetizers I didn’t expect to them to refills so the women did and I was like wow extra food. !! Since I love their radish. I like to drink tea especially when I eat, I asked them for an ice cup and hot tea which make it ice tea they were checking in my tea and make sure that my tea was refills. We both ordered a tomato soup I believe it’s less than $20 for a tomato soup. Which was very worth it and it’s very refilling the one thing this restaurant beat the others one is their customer services deserve a shout out! And I can taste that the taste of food is very fresh, flavorful, I wish they open one in NYC so that I don’t have to travel all the way to NJ?, but it is worth it on a cold day ! I will visit soon again!”

Definitely big enough to serve 2 people. All the ingredients tasted fresh. It's full of flavor and texture. I love that they use milk ice and also had a small cup of condensed milk to pour over top of the bingsu. They do not skimp out of any of the toppings. “I had wanted to visit IT Show after seeing some social media posts and seeing the cheese tonkatsu and the epic cheese pull. Came on a weekday evening for dinner and had made a reservation earlier that day. The restaurant is fairly small with a few tables. They were not too busy that evening. We started with the pork bao buns and of course the cheese tonkatsu. The pork buns came out first. The pork was super tender and the bun was soft and tasted sooo good! The cheese tonkatsu came after and omg the cheese pull was awesome! It was a pork cutlet with mozzarella. It was served with 2 kinds of dipping sauces. Our entrees came after, I had gotten the mentaiko cream ramen and my sister got the salmon tendon. Everything was delicious! We will definitely be back again...especially for the cheese tonkatsu!”

“Tried Hong Ban Jang for the first time but it definitely won't be last time going back. Really cozy Korean restaurant that serves comfort food like jajangmyeon, jjampong, mapo tofu, and so much more. The menu is super extensive and the wonderful thing is that they have combos so you could order two of your favorite things if you're indecisive like me ;) Make sure you know what you want once you sit down because they do not play! The waitress came over pretty quickly after I asked for another minute lol. But the service is also crazy fast so it balances out. The tangsuyuk is out of this world and the best I've had so far. Perfectly battered and fried, these babies hold up their crisp and deliciousness even when they cook down. I actually liked the jajangmyeon more than the jjampong! Definitely check it out!”

Everything use to be $10 and then during the pandemic, prices varied and I didn't like that they didn't have their prices posted but now they do which is much more transparent. “This is genuinely good Guatemalan food. We had the beef soup and ordered steak also but the portions of meat in the soup was so generous we didn’t even get too the steaks so we took them home. Service was very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere was very informal. Some guys were watching soccer on the big screen tv and others were sitting alone, no one bothered anyone. I’m definitely going back for that soup as the winter sets in harder.Parking: It’s general street parking with meters I believe are only active on weekdays”

“I've been to Cafe Leah before and tried the mango cheesecake, strawberry matcha, and oreo bingsoo before. This time I tried the tiramisu one and it was sooo good. There were these layers of what I think was milk foam and that was extremely delicious paired with the cocoa powder. Cafe Leah never disappoints with the taste, but recently their prices have gotten so high and portions have gotten smaller which is why I cut off a star. Otherwise, really good bingsoo in the area!”

“Press sandwich chain from South Korea. I have been a customer since they open many years ago. They have both sweet and savory options, their bulgogi beef and spicy chicken are my favorite. The staff has changed over the years but they have always been very friendly and service is always pretty fast. A lot of also people come here for their sweetened ice coffee, which I find to be a treat. They also offer bakery items as well as premade cold-cut sandwiches and gimbab (Korean rice roll). I recently notice them having Portuguese-style egg tarts too. It's located in the hart of downtown Palisades Park. Street parking only and sometimes it's hard to come by.”

“Pho 32 closes at 9:30 PM, and we arrived just after 9 PM. Despite the nearing closing time, the owner, Kwon, graciously allowed us to dine. Throughout our meal, he never rushed us or did anything similar, patiently waiting as we finished. This was exceptionally considerate, as some restaurants often refuse patrons so close to closing and tend to rush them during their meal. The soup here was also delicious. Given the chance, we would definitely visit again. 감사합니다 Kwon :)”

“Great spot to enjoy some naengmyun, refreshing potato-based noodles in a cold broth. They have affordable prices and since it's a self-service restaurant, no tipping is required! The food comes out fast and is a great choice on a warm day!”

“Small place located upstairs of a typical building in Pal Park. Lots of locals and no nonsense. Cafeteria style service and ordering. But clean, modern, and simple. Banchan was good. The kimchi was super delicious. Portions were plentiful. The naengmyun wasn't complicated. Not trendy, no extra fluff. It was simple, but really delicious. My wife is a naengmyun killer, and she murdered her bowl. The LA galbi was a bit of a miss, considering the galbi ttang was generous and really good. A go-to must for a good, quick meal.”
