“Tried Hong Ban Jang for the first time but it definitely won't be last time going back. Really cozy Korean restaurant that serves comfort food like jajangmyeon, jjampong, mapo tofu, and so much more. The menu is super extensive and the wonderful thing is that they have combos so you could order two of your favorite things if you're indecisive like me ;) Make sure you know what you want once you sit down because they do not play! The waitress came over pretty quickly after I asked for another minute lol. But the service is also crazy fast so it balances out. The tangsuyuk is out of this world and the best I've had so far. Perfectly battered and fried, these babies hold up their crisp and deliciousness even when they cook down. I actually liked the jajangmyeon more than the jjampong! Definitely check it out!“

“In 2024, it feels like a Chinese food war has broken out in the food alley of Palpac Koreatown. Invincible Jjambbong is a new company, but both the taste and service were good. For those who like Jjajang with a lot of seasoning and a lot of oil and stir-fried onions, the Gan Jjajang here may have different tastes as it pursues the original taste of Gan Jjajang a little more.“

“Probably the best Chinese takeout in my area. The wings are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Their house special Mei fun is my go to. 2nd choice is orange beef/chicken because it actually tastes like orange! They're BBQ Spare ribs are also a banger.“
“My friend was super excited about this place and loves skewers and recommended to it to us. We were lucky enough to have no wait. I love a restaurant where you can have an experience and it's fun finishing up the cooking process of the skewers how you want it at your own table. We tried both the beef and lamb, I'm not the biggest fan of lamb in general, but I actually did enjoy these lamb skewers, didn't have the overwhelming gamey taste which usually is what I don't like. The beef skewer was pretty good and the seasonings they have are a great flavor boost.Though, the only thing is that this place is quite pricey for not a lot of meat, so though I thought it was good and fun to eat here, probably would only come here, every now and again.“
“Under New Management and for the better. Came once before and it was meh. Last night was the first time I came since new management and everything was spot on. We opted for the Set for 2 - Sweet Sour Pork, Hot noodle soup w/ seafood, & Black-bean Noodles with Pork for $36. TBH it's enough for 3 people and everything was BOMB, especially the Sweet & Sour Pork. Lunch special looks like a good value too so def support them. Show new management some love because they deserve it. Service was good as well :)“

“I'll give this place 5 stars just for the food as that's what matters most for me. You need to make reservations several days ahead for dinners. After 8PM, it's a bit easier to do walk in but still might need reservations.Size of the restaurant is small with only few tables. I'd imagine it will have a more cozy ambience for snowy winter evenings elevating the dining experience.Food wise, it brought back good old feelings of having skewers out in Korea. I'd bring my own Baijiu to complete the food pairing since they don't sell those in the restaurant.“
