“Came early morning I was greeted by a gentleman and a lady cooking in the back. I ordered every flavor empanadas they had available. It was very authentic very large empanadas price was $14 about $2 per empanada. Favorite was beef.. Chicken could have been better and cheese was cheesin’ nice draw to it! It is next to a 711 kind of confusing where to enter however entrance is located on side street.“

“Wow!...havent had such a fresh tasting Dominican food in ages....definitely worth eating here. Will come back and recomend this spot. Had the standard domican flag dish rice, beans and stew chicken and flavor was on point..both beans and chicken stew took me back as if i was eating in the Dominican Republic. A+ plus staff was friendly and attentive!“

“Best pork shoulder I've had in a long time from any restaurant. Everything is on point! Nice and clean restaurant as well. Great atmosphere to dine in. Will be back soon. Definitely recommend.The most delicious pork I have eaten in a long time that came from a restaurant. The black beans and rice and even the yellow ones were perfect. Good atmosphere to eat inside and everything is also very clean. I definitely recommend it and will return later.“

“When I first came here, I didn’t know what to expect. I think the guy at the register was Dominican I asked him to put me on the top seller. He didn’t really do that. He just pointed me to the menu. I didn’t know what to expect my first time, but I tried pancakes with eggs toast because I wasn’t sure if the sausage was pork. A cheese and a beef empanada and a egg and cheese sandwich. “But I was blown away by the flavor. The food was so fresh.” 5 star for the food. I was expecting some more eggs with my pancakes, platter, and toast, but the food is good.“

“I Uber eat my dinner and unfortunately they forgot to put my side empanadas. I contacted the restaurant and not long after someone who actually works for the restaurant came and hand-deliver my empanadas. If it wasn’t for my son who loves empanadas I would’ve left it alone but of course I had to contact the restaurant because that’s the only thing he would eat but I have nothing negative to say about this restaurant I have been going there for years now and they go beyond.“

“I finally had a chance to try this spot. Sometimes as a African American you have trouble in places but not this place. It was clean and the service was friendly. I ordered 2 things the stewed chicken both were ample and good. The price for both platters was affordable. Good spot to check out. Ps get some pepper steak on the menu.“

“Very cute place. Not the usual Dominican Restaurant. I liked the beef and pork empanadas, the cold coffee and chicharrones con tostones. I also tried the tres leches birthday cake and it was delicious. The service is superb, very friendly, and attentive.“

“My sister ordered a full tray of arroz con gandules, maduros, and pollo guisado for my nephew's birthday. Everything was excellent. I will definitely come here in person in the future. Everything was amazing.“

“The best chimi and the mini mofonguitos are everything! Being from NY and living near EWR I always had to take the drive to dyckman for some good chimi, not anymore! And with double meat! ???? delicious seasoning! Oh and the first time I went, as I waited a while, the lady served me a plate of concon with beans ???? the end!!!!“

“My fiance picked up some food for us and it was absolutely wonderful. He had the pig feet stew over rice and I had the pork and rice. The pork was tender and seasoned so well. The rice and peas were delicious. This was my first visit to NY and I will definitely be back next time.“

“The food is very delicious and fresh ...prepared daily on the steam table which a variety of dishes and alternate on certain days of the week but they do prepare other dishes alla carte menu...highly recommend the mangu with any sides....most problem is the place is extremely small there's no indoor seating basically its pickup and delivery...“

“The people are nice and the food was delicious. I gave it four stars due to some staff having inappropriate conversations in front of guests. I would not consider it a restaurant, per se, due to its small size and very plain decor which does not add to the ambiance.“

“Really good value. Food was fresh and flavorful. Got some pernil, black rice, and platanos maduros and the woman at the counter PACKED my plate. Pernil was moist and juicy. I had to save the rest for leftovers--it was that much food.All this for $10 is hard to beat.“

“A Saturday at 6:20 am, in my way to Teixeira bakery for brakefast, I saw this restaurant and stop for a mangü. It wasn't ready yet, but the yuca (casaba) with spare ribs didn't disappoint. Everything, from the food to the music to the oatmeal was on point. Prices? A precio de llevecelo (affordable). It was a clean and nice surprise.“
