“totally agree with the establishment response to someone who clearly did not read the opening hours for the place and then decided to leave a review because SHE was inconvenienced. Really? How about you plan your trip, go read the opening hours, and not put the establishment on the spot because of YOUR ignorance. Buzz bar has been around for a long time. They have adapted to the neighborhood norms and they have good items on tap as well as in the kitchen that is accommodating TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD. So, if you want to find a place that serves truffled cheese under glas with pierdziu sauce, THIS is not a place, even IF you want to SAVE MONEY. I lived in Mercer all my life. I really applaud any bar owner in TOP ROAD who wants to make a name for themselves and sells a SOLID PRODUCT for CHEAP. God bless! This is what Top Road USED TO BE LIKE years ago, like Queens, bar for the locals who want a honest shot and beer. God bless! We pulled into Mr Mikey and Mrs Brenda's small town of 250 people. Meeting these two amazing people was a blessing. The food, the conversations, the environment was amazing!!! “So this is a hard review for me, I live very close (currently). Their wings are phenomenal for the price and the kitchen is open till 10pm. I came in at 9:30 after a late night and the wings were just as good. Wings 5 stars, the rest is 3.5 stars. Atmosphere is not for everyone but a good time and the regulars are very nice. Free shuffle board and a few bucks for pool. It is definitely worth trying on a Wednesday or a late Friday or Saturday night as they are open late and know how to party. I’ve come on quiet Sundays and middle of the week, all was well there too. It’s a solid 4 stars overall and that is a brutal review for a place I truly love. **edit** alcohol is relatively cheap. “We went last night for Taco Tuesday and ordered a few options to share. We ordered the beef empanadas - amazing! Full of flavor and nice crisp, served with pico de gallon and a chipotle sour cream drizzle. The birria tacos - perfect. Beef was great and tacos had a lot of meat. We requested no onions and cilantro and we loved them! Chicken and cheese quesadilla - so good. Packed with meat and cheese and plenty of fixings on the side. Ordered a 50 oz margaritas and it was great and packed with lots of tequila and fruit garnish.“

“Smash burgers are the best! Also they make real, fresh house cut French fries! My one gripe is that the burger is served on a plate lined with paper which becomes soaked and sticks to the bun.“

“I'm a sucker for Dives lol. Higher-end bars, city rooftops and lounges all have their place, but so do local dive bars lol. Calm casual atmosphere, not smoky or anything inside. Plenty of pool tables and keno that locals play. I got breakfast. Eggs were great, and toast was perfect. Very reasonably priced. People weren't used to newbies coming in but were very friendly. It's a good place to try out if hiking the Canal Path!“

“Decided to suck up my pride and give this place another chance. Turns out, there's just one bad apple in the bunch. The bartender (perfect manners, kinda hot) The cook (great food, homely soul) The manager.... He reminds me of Wilson Fisk from Daredevil. He lacks customer service and a business can suffer fast with one bad apple.“

“I always like coming here. The food is very good. The staff is great but especially Zach, who is one of the bartenders who is there daily is so cool, very laid back, and an easy person to talk to. Whenever you have a problem or something is wrong, he is there to take great care of you. He sure knows what he is doing. He is great with multitasking I noticed while I was waiting for my food and the fact he has been there for several years is outstanding to me. I highly recommend this place if you want to go and have a good time. You won't regret it!“
