“I visited Sashey's for the first time on April 23 and I must say the food I ordered (curry goat with rice and peas and a brown stew fish) was excellent! In addition, the customer service was on point. I definitely will return again. Take my word, if you want good, authentic Jamaican food, Sashey's is the place.“

“Their jerk wings are the next best thing to jerk chicken in BK. It's very dark in color, but full of flavor & well seasoned. I'm a sauce person & I didn't need it. The wings might not be appealing to most people because it looks "burnt" but I love it that way & it feels good not having to ask for it to be well done. “Delicious oxtail black mushroom rice plantains, jerk wings and Mac & cheese! I got it delivered. 3:09 got here at 3:32. I live 5 minutes away so that was great time! The only bad thing I gotta say is, o ordered while my wife was at the gym & I really wanted to eat it all! Lol reluctantly, I saved her half! It's a little hole in the wall spot. I appreciated seeing the little bit of seating that was there just in case you wanted to eat inside.The only downfall I didn't appreciate was the debt and credit card fee. I used my debt card, including putting in my pin, and it increased my bill to use my card. It was my first time there. “It’s very hard to find guyanese food in NJ to begin with, but to find such a place with great food, exceptional service, and an amazing atmosphere is something hard to come by anywhere. Since coming back from NYC for summer vacation from college, I can say I am thoroughly impressed by this little shop, which absolutely rivals those in brooklyn and queens. The lady at the counter was so friendly and really treats her customers like she’s known them for a long time and hasn’t seen them in a while, this coming from me being a new customer lol. “This was our second time having dinner there. We had a great dining experience the first time which caused us to celebrate our wedding anniversary the second visit. They sat us in the same booth from our original visit which gave us the same server. She was excellent the first time as well as the second. The food was wonderful and the executive chef came out and introduced himself to us (nice touch). We plan on taking some friends with us the next time we go. Nice job Coco's!“

“We drove 40 mns to Bon Appétit Caribbean on a Saturday afternoon. I was not disappointed!Great customer service.The food was fresh, super delicious, i ordered a large duri Djondjon with chicken, they gave me enough food to feed 2 people. The macaroni salad was great, duri djondjon was awesome, and the chicken was well seasoned.The next day i went, i got again a large duri Djondjon and fried turkey, Once again, everything was DELICIOUS. If you're in Irvington or close by, this is one spot that I'd definitely recommend! They have REAL SEASONED HAITIAN FOOD“

“I've been meaning to write a review for some time now. Bekka's Bakery is a must try if you have not been here. I typically eat Jamaican lunch once a week - going to various joints around town, but I always return to Bekka's. Every bite is delicious! I honestly believe it's the best Jamaican food in the area. I typically order the Jerk Chicken or the Curry Goat. They are both to die for. Heavenly seasoned - Bekka does not skimp on the spices on her jerk nor her curry. It really stands out when comparing her food to other local Jamaican spots. Even her callaloo is outrageously delicious. Also - Bekka is a friendly and welcoming host. It's funny to me how this is a rarity in the neighborhood but it's refreshing to be welcomed into a local restaurant. There is a table and barstools to eat at, but it's more of a takeout joint. If I had to make one critique, I wish the dining section was a little more intimate as I would come for dinner with the family on the regular.“

“I visited Sarrah's on a trip to NJ with my son and it was such a pleasant, happy experience! I felt like being at an aunt's house in Trinidad. Sarrah sat us down and served us her delicious doubles! She brought us an Apple J to go with it then kept checking on us to make sure we didn't need anything else. “We went in during Hot Rods and Harleys event in Rahway. Found out the owners are Antiguan, so the food is slightly spiced differently than Jamaican food. We sampled the curry goat, oxtails, jerk chicken, cabbage, mac and cheese, and rice and beans and wow! Having lived in a Carribean neighborhood in Brooklyn for many years, this is as close to that taste of home as I have gotten since moving to NJ 5 years ago! Meat was tender and flavorful. Service the great! The young lady behind the counter was very welcoming and kind. The atmosphere was decorated with traditional pictures and remembrance of the culture. They are expensive, compared to Bk and Newark, but it's Rahway and pretty much one of the only restaurants for this cuisine in the area. I would highly recommend!“

“I love coming to this place every time I visit Newark, New Jersey. The food reminds me of the motherland Nigeria.
