“Union fried chicken and grill is easily one of favorite food spots in union. The staff is very friendly and put a lot of effort into the cooking. The food is great (the lamb over rice will change your life) and it is a must try place being right on morris ave. They are right next door to a Halal grocery store and they have a nice sized lot in the back as well. If you have not tried the food here, you definitely should.Also don’t be fooled by the name of the store, they have plenty more to offer than just fried chicken.“

“One of my recent finds in Staten Island. I wish it was close to where I live so I can save money on Uber eats ! I have ordered a lot from this place & almost every time the food is good if Uber eats is not late !I love their fried chicken with honey barbecue & mango habanero , Beef cheese Steak, & recently tried their Nashville hot chicken over fries! Oh boy I am in love, can't wait to get it again ! That's one of my favorite new food I tried so far !I also was in that area in Ramadan & got some food from the store ! There is no spot to seat down to eat actually. I wish they do great business & able to make the store bigger where you can seat & enjoy their fresh food . Because by the time Uber eats brings the food it gets cold ! And that's always very unpleasant!The service was excellent, they were very respectful kind & helpful. Place looks clean , get to meet lots of brothers from different countries coming together to run this place ! Such an accomplishment ! Hope in time the taste & service stays great! And also price could go little lower, because it's little expensive! “One of the best Moroccan restaurants in the area. The Chicken Tagine and the Lamb Tagine was excellent and you can enjoy their delicious saffron rice all by itself. The portion sizes are quite hearty and good to share for two people. Get a reservation beforehand if you plan to visit on holidays or the weekend.“

“I would give 6 stars if I could! Absolutely incredible food and excellent service! This is an amazing family owned and operated restaurant and the halal food is so delicious! Platters chicken and lamb and shrimp are always great. Recently had a catering event for our company as well and everyone kept raving about the food. The white and red sauce are the best I've had. Everything tastes so fresh from the salad, falafel, rice, meats and pita! This should be a must visit if you are in the area! Will be coming to halal zone for years to come. “I had to come to a chicken shack when I got to Jersey, IYKYK. I read all the reviews about how good the pizza and chicken were and I had to try because it was close to my hotel plus they are open 24 hours. The cheese pizza was DELICIOUS. the cheese was sliding off with a nice crisp crust, just how I love it. The fried chicken was EVEN BETTER. Just fried to perfection. With perfectly seasoned French fries. Mannnnnn, oh man. It took about 10 minutes, there were tables inside. They all had soda, juice and ice cream for order. You have different options for pizza and chicken options.“

Ask them to put the seasoned salt on them. The chicken had great flavor but i wish it wasn't just a sauce they put on top vs marinating it with it. The other thing that i noticed is you have to buy majority of the menu items separately, which i didn't like too much.“

I’ve only visited once and tried their mixed shawarma bowl which was a mix of chicken and beef.I don’t know enough about different middle eastern cuisines to know what type of beef shawarmas are different but this type was the longer strips that were tougher.Sauces were white and a red sauce. The red sauce was not particularly spicy hot but added light flavor.The restaurant itself has a few seats and the street parking is metered.“

“Tried this place today finally after seeing it for months just never worked out to stop but today I did and I'm really glad that I got to. I got the Kings meal which comes with 2 jerk tacos ? a quesdilla Nashville hot chicken on a brioche bun and a chopped cheese on a sesame bun that was nice and crispy on the outside but super soft on the inside everything was more then excellent the jerk chicken is incredible the Nashville hot chicken is out of this world and so is the chopped cheese didn't make it to the quesdilla but I'm sure its on the same level as the tacos has the same jerk chicken next time il get the Nashville hot tho to try 10/10 would recommend to stop for lunch dinner or whenever you are on richmond ave very friendly dudes made all food to perfection and was fast they are there until 2 am he said and they also offer doordash definitely will be going back haven't had food I have been impressed with in a while and this place def hit the spot for sure on his way to being a staple of staten island“

Besides all that, the food here is pretty solid. You get a bit more then what you pay for and it's always made fresh. Large portions and a lot of options. I love their beef sausage with homefries and eggs. On occasion I enjoy the wings and waffles. They're pretty busy in the morning but I love places like that. It puts me in the frame of mind that the food must be fresh because it hasn't had the chance to be sitting around getting stale. “We were working in the area, smelled so good outside how could I not try it. I work all over the state and always try to sample the locals food joints. This place is a hit. I had the beef Gyro. I’ve had gyros all over the state. But this place was the best. Marinated steak over lettuce and tomatoes with the sauce drizzled over top. More than enough food for the price. Highly recommend and I will return whenever I’m in the area.“

The chopped cheese was awesome, fully loaded texture and flavor bomb on a toasted Italian roll. It took only about 5 minutes to make. The chicken was seasoned nice and was super juicy on the inside yet golden crispy on the outside. I was stoked to try the fries next because there was enough for a family and golden in color. Sadly they were soggy, not fried nearly as long as they should have been and lacked salt. I ate just a few both with and without ketchup and tossed them. This small trendy looking corner store had a couple display cases with mainly fried chicken and desserts offered as grab-n-go. There were 2 thin tables to stand at and eat if desired and quiet with one chef and one cashier. Friendly staff though with great recommendations.Parking: Street parking already taken. Expect to park a block away.“

The staff isn't very friendly and they're always in some kind of hurry. The restaurant is dated and not very welcoming and there is no dining area. From the real good brown fried rice- so basic but when done with superior ingredients, basic turns into a delicacy - to the homemade lemonade that quenches every part of you. “Hiba Hala was the only Hala place open on Thanksgiving, for the ones who didn't celebrate the holiday, they offer great food and service. I didn't get to take a picture, I had egg whites and turkey bacon cause they don't serve sausage for some reason, but ok and French toast. I ate it all before my flight to Jamaica. For a tea and breakfast ran me about $18 that blew my mind, but I did enjoy my food and was just happy they were open.“
