Recently moved to New York and was craving pupusas as a Salvadoran missing some food from Home! Happen to be in NJ and thought it'd give these a try. The horchata was solid! Ordered 6 revueltas and 2 queso con loroco. I wish the masa on the pupusas were a bit thicker and had more loroco or more meat, but overall very good find! I'll be coming back for more when I need my pupusa fix!
Being half Salvadorian I am always on the lookout for some pupusas! It's hard to find a place that can live up to my mother's but once in a while I get lucky and find some that get pretty close. Today I decided to try Altagracia's as my brother highly recommended their pupusas. The place is small but you can tell they're always busy with orders. Very Central American place. Lol it's tiny but that's the way in the campo. The pupusas are delicious! I get the revueltas, mixed cheese and pork. They spicy pickled cabbages topping is acidic , salty, and spicy! The drink is tamarindo, a bit on the sweeter side. The service is not the best but they do respond if you call out . The decor is simple, only a few tables, more of a mom pop shop.
