“Spacious and bright restaurant with lots of seating. The menu has a wonderfully curated wine selection and everything we ate was delicious. The sourdough pizza crust was fantastic, the caesar salad was ultra creamy, and the marinated olives were great. Their homemade soft serve ice cream changes regularly and the coconut blood orange version we had was so flavourful.“

“When anyone asks me where to find the best chocolate croissant in Brooklyn, Runner and Stone comes out on the top of my list. The pastries are perfectly balanced. Buttery but not too greasy, crisp on the outside but airy and fluffy on the inside. My only complaint is that I always want more. The staff is always very attentive and patient.“

“Very small place, yet the flavor is very big. You can have the best hummus and falafel in Brooklyn. The home made bread baked daily on site makes the flavor even more intense.Parking: It’s Bay Ridge, so don’t expect to find parking that fast.“

“I’ve been going to the Daily Provisions in Manhattan and very nice to see this location open in Brooklyn Heights / Cobble Hill. This cafe brings in a vibrant social cafe and a pleasant rendez vous point for business or casual meetups. The indoor dining is good but if you can get a table outside it’s very nice. Generally, keep things very simple here with the maple cruller style donuts ? that is baked fresh daily. They’re crispy and soft / creamy in the inside… delicious. Pairs well with a black iced coffee and you’re good to go! Highly recommend this place ??⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Kid-friendliness: ??❤️?“

“For my money the best sandwiches in Williamsburg. Real people serving you real food with a staff and ownership that care about what you’re eating. The Sephardi wrap maybe the single best food purchase in all or North Brooklyn. Edith’s is without a doubt a staple of the Williamsburg food experience!!!“

“Tried a couple pastries and a canele. The ramp escargot was exceptional & I’d eat one every day if I could. The plain croissant and blueberry danish were quite good but I wouldn’t return for either.I thought the canele was ok - one of the better ones I’ve tried in the city but I didn’t looove it.“

“If you're lucky, and ask for a 'buss up and shut' and they have it, brace yourself. Get it with chicken, goat, or whatever makes you happiest. You're about to have addiction issues you never even realized were possible. The paratha is flaky, coconut-y and fried to perfection. You'll wish there was more curry because the curry is so good. And then, you'll wish you had more paratha because the paratha is so good. And the cycle continues.Otherwise, if you're basic af like me and salty fish for breakfast isn't calling out to you, that's okay. We all can't be perfect. The Doubles are insane. Finally, the roti. the portions are generous. You'll never want to step foot in a Chipotle again. Every bite is gd incredible. You won't leave hungry. Light, fluffy chunks of curried mashed potatoes, curry of your choice, wrapped in a food blanket meant for the gods“

“Can a slice of cake be life changing? I'm literally in the middle of eating a slice of their strawberry sumac cake and I'm definitely feeling that way. It's so dense and moist but still also fluffy and refreshing? The flavor is deep and complex but still accessible and it has a rich level of sweetness without being cloying. It's a slice of cake that can't be consumed mindlessly - it stops you in your tracks when you take a bite because it's THAT good. I'm being long-winded but as someone who has eaten more cake than advisable in their lifetime, I am grateful to have ByClio in my neighborhood as a place that not only delights but excites with every new flavor offered. Also they have excellent coffee!“

“Had an unforgettable date night at Farm to People! We indulged in their burger and fries - easily one of the top best in NYC. The Brussel sprouts? Crispy perfection. And the gnocchi? Simply incredible. If you haven’t treated yourself to this spot yet, you’re missing out. It’s a must-visit!“

“Compared to a decade ago, most of my favorite bagel spots in the city have gone way downhill (I recently got a Bagel Pub bagel that was too wet to eat, as if was thawed from frozen). But I still find Bagel Hole's bagels to be absolutely incredible. I personally love the smaller size, and I LOVE that they are a little bit chewy. And I love that their storefront looks exactly the same as it did when I first started going there!“

“I have a soft spot for worker-owned enterprises, but I need no soft spots to say that I love this place, and I try to get here at least once any time I'm in Brooklyn. The food has been unfailingly delicious, and I've never seen a phony smile there. The sliding-scale pricing is a little startling at first, but just be honest with yourself and pay what you would pay for similar fare somewhere else.“

“Wow! This is a little hidden gem. This is probably the best coffee I've ever had in NYC. Doesn't taste burnt at all like most other places and it has a nutty aftertaste. Really delicious - doesn't even need syrup flavors. The chocolate chip cookie is divine and tastes homemade! I'm so happy I stumbled upon this little hole in the wall. It's tiny inside but there are a few tables / stool seats by the window. It's a great spot to bring a book and people watch. They have a bunch of other pastries that look delicious as well and I'm excited to try them all! This spot is just steps from the L train at Grand St. Don't miss it! Super friendly service, quick, and delicious. What else could you need?“

“I just love this place so much. The staff are always so warm and happy. The coffee is great. The croissants are so good. The chocolate croissants actually have gooey chocolate, not an unmelted chocolate log inside. The chocolate chip cookie is the best in the city. Yes. I said it. The other pastries are also great. I will say, the babkas are good but much too sweat for me. I only wish they have a few more seats inside.“

“My family and I came in 20 mins before closing, mind you there’s 8 of us and still greeted with smiles. There was a few people inside as well looking around. The place is so cute and everything we’ve tried has always been good. Today was especially nice because the guy at the register gave us two free pastries. I couldn’t take a picture of all the food (we bought like $35 worth) but this is just some, love their soft serve!! They have sweet and savory, and both vary in different flavors and level of sweetness. Shoutout to the guy on the register for making us feel so welcome!“

“The most amazing chocolate babka ever! Take a peek at the layers! Excellent experience; you may ask them to bring you a piece for the price you'd like to pay, and the pricing is determined by weight. The piece I purchased was far heavier than it appeared, and it was about $37, but you still get what you pay for. Need to give it a shot!“

“If you’re searching for the best local coffee shop, stop your search right now and head here immediately. I’m extremely picky when it comes to coffee, and by far, out of almost every coffee shop I tried in the neighborhood, Der Pioneer is the best. Delicious lattes with homemade caramel, delicious pastries. Cannot recommend it enough, I have to force myself not to go.“

“Not friendly nor welcoming BUT omg the egg tart. So fluffy and rich but light at the same time. Not too sweet (the best compliment for the Asian dessert). Went back twice in a single week. I didn’t feel the need of calling ahead - they do reserve enough for the in-store customers.“
“Followed this place for a long time on Instagram and always looking for more local Vietnamese food businesses in NYC. Ban Be is a place that has a unique spin Vietnamese desserts for the general diners. The most difficult part of checking out this place is they're only open on the weekends from 1pm to 5pm, and their items sell out quickly if you're late to the punch. Like myself who showed up on Sunday at 4pm. Whilst I lost a chance at the big tinned box of desserts, I did get a chance at the small tin boxes. Inside contains the cookie variety flavors: Coconut Pandan, Black Sesame Ube, Tamarind Cacao Nib, and Ca Phe (Coffee) Crunch. My personal favorite was the Ca Phe Crunch as I couldn't stop eating it. All the cookies itself was delicate, buttery and crisp just like a professional desserts brand does. Outstandingly delicious. Even the stand itself was cute as it's one of those establishments you order through the shop window. A quaint dessert shop and the staff is super nice. But my takeaway is this which gets one star deduction from me. It's the limited hours and limited days this business is open that gets to me, and it is not an easy accessible location for anyone to get to unless you're a local in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood. The cookies were delicious but the amount of cookies purchased (16 - 20) for $28 in their smallest tin was pricy for me. It was a good one time experience and there are distinctions between the levels of Vietnamese food items that's under standard level and top tier. Based on observations and experience, these items were categorized within the top tier. But do try to come early to get access to more items if you plan a visit here.“

“It has been four weeks since our wedding and my mom is STILL talking about the cake. She stole three extra slices from the venue and had cake for breakfast three days in a row. I think she’ll be talking about this cake for the rest of my life. She might drive me crazy but…she’s right. The cake Luckybird made for our wedding was the best cake I’ve ever had. That’s not an exaggeration. It really was next level. We ordered a fully frosted chocolate cake with seasonal berries and crème fraiche, and it was simply divine. Sweet but not too sweet, decadent but still light, and totally addicting. I cannot tell you how many people have reached out to me specifically to compliment the cake!Besides her incredible skills as a baker, Amy is also a lovely person to work with. Throughout the entire process, she was friendly, communicative, and kind. She was quick to answer my questions and super professional. If we ever throw another special event and need a cake, I will 100% reach out to Luckybird! In fact, I’m really trying to find a reason to order a second wedding cake, just for myself THANK YOU SO MUCH!!“

“How come there wasn't a disclaimer which stated that sadness would ensue once the last bite was consumed? I bought 3 sweet potato pies and I wasn't ready for life after the last bite!In all seriousness, this pie takes me back to when my late aunts were in the kitchen on Thanksgiving and I'd beg for more. Personally when it comes to products, I like to search for the best and when I Googled "The Best Sweet Potato Pie in Brooklyn", Abu's Homestyle Bakery came up. Google did not lie. I put this pie up with my late Aunt's recipe and that's saying something.“

“Purchased Roast bakes with Cod Fish on the weekends. I've purchased the currant rolls and coconut rolls. Tried their buns and their breads. Been to both locations when present on Utica and now the location on 51 Street. Very good. One recommendation: Try using a different oil when cooking. No reason why after eating anything prepared with oil you feel so heavy. It's hard to digest. let go of the Soybean oil or whatever you are using and try healthier option.“
