“I hosted my birthday dinner in the private room at Misi and had a phenomenal experience! Kate Kolbinsky was an incredible helping setting up the special evening and went above and beyond to make it a memorable experience. Highly highly recommend!“

“No indoor dining because Covid They have taken great care of making a lot of available tables and even have some enclosed outdoor booths. The use of space is pretty amazing and well adapted to the neighborhood They neighborhood is great I saw the prettiest dogs in Brooklyn all walking in full force The place has a friendly family-type vibe Th coworkers are all friendly with each other and warm to their clientele The food is impeccably well prepared, tasty and quite authentically Italian I doubt one could find anything more authentic with such fine ingredients and creatively presented anywhere other than Italy. If you do, let it be known and I’m sure the staff here would feel the kindred spirit of another fine cuisine It’s in the medium-high priced category but it lives up to the prices in its quality Wait staff is genuine and kind and do make a great effort to make one comfortable and enjoy their meal Highly recommend“

“Went last night for a little friend date. We were sat promptly at a nice two top by the front window. Our server, who was the most italian server I’ve had since Italy, described the specials perfectly. Everything sounded delicious and I wanted to hear him talk more. All the food was top notch. The mushroom pasta special was a bit pricey ($29 a little sticker shock) and could have used more of that mushroom flavor, however, the pasta ribbons were of a most excellent quality with a nice chew, so I was still satisfied. The best item of the night was the roasted cauliflower special with the piccata sauce. My only qualm was the server, though magnificent, described the dish as being accompanied by focaccia bread. Upon receiving the check I discovered the focaccia was a separate charge. Felt a slight sense of hoodwinked but no matter - it was delicious bread.Service is nice as relaxed in that very European way. It was nice to be given time and not felt rushed out. In fact, I requested the check, which often time a restaurant doesn’t afford you the pleasure of doing. Will be back for certain.“

“Indoor atmosphere seemed lovely, although I came late as a single party on a Friday night so I was seated on the indoor patio. The patio itself was comfortable and had cute decor. I was seated quickly and was attended too promptly. The Spaghetti Pomodoro was absolutely delightful, the portion size was perfect and more than I expected. I took a tiramisu slice to go and was disappointed by the flavor, it was quite bland but I hope that it was a one off night for them. I would visit again the next time I am in town, my dinner was delicious and the staff was quick and friendly. As a vegetarian I am grateful that there were options that I could eat, I do wish they were clearly and plainly labeled on their menu.Vegetarian options: Unfortunately the menu does not specifically mark or label the vegetarian options clearly, although they do have a few available.“

“Moved from Brooklyn to Jersey young and I would still rather pay the tolls to come here for a slice than anywhere else. No better Sicilian slice in the world, bar none. If they offered delivery across the state I would bankrupt myself ordering it daily. Pricey, but fully worth it.“

“Lovely place, lovely people, lovely and delicious food! We enjoyed everything we ordered. Many nice details in the food presentation, in the ambiance, and in the experience in general. Went with kids and the kids loved it too (there are some pasta dishes suitable for kids off menu). Will be returning soon!“

“Looking for some excellent classic southern Italian food? Old school, right out of a movie with waiters in tuxedos and decor from over 50 years ago. Fantastic chicken parm, mussels, eggplant rollatini. It’s been around since 1900 so they must be doing something right. Come down to Brooklyn and make sure you have a reservation. They do have valet parking too.#hollyshotspots“

“My wife and I went on a rare date to Fausto and it was honestly one of the BEST dining experiences I have had in a very long time. The food was excellent, the wine list was extensive, and the staff were so incredibly helpful, kind, and attentive without being overbearing. I would highly recommend!“

“Had a lovely time out with family, including two young children, one of whom has celiac. All the food was delicious and thoughtfully cooked, service was so warm and the energy was great. Accommodated gluten restriction perfectly. Kitchen was a tiny bit slower than I’d have wished and I’d love to pay less, but prices are standard for the quality of food/restaurant that they’re running. Will definitely be back.“

“Incredible dining experience. I’ve been wanting to come here for some time and finally got reservations last night, did not disappoint! The space is comfortable and roomy. Service was welcoming and relaxed in the best way. We came at 5 and by 6:30 when we left the bar had slowly filled up so might be a good time to come if you’re walking in on a week night. I love that they switch their menu around weekly based off the seasons. We tried the fava bean puree, fried cauliflower, spaghetti with smoked mushrooms, the ragu, and panna cotta. Everything was delicious. The fava beans are not to be missed! Can’t wait to come back throughout the seasons and see what they have to offer!“

“Long time since we couldn't have dinner here, always fully booked. So this time we got a chance. Very small, beautiful, and so vibe place. We had pasta and the best wine. Thanks to our server guy with curly hair, so it was so polite and very helpful. He helped to choose wine, and we love it. We come back for sure many times in the future. Thank you for chefs for delicious food.“

“I wanted to come to Ammazzacaffe for a while. One of my friend told me that they have a great wine list and authentic Italian food. Last night was a good day to go so because of they have a limit of seats I made a reservation before I go. I have a glass of Toscana Rosso and because it is happy hour I get two for one. That is awesome! I order pasta so I only have Sea Trout Tartare as an appetizer. I love that they make it sour and taste so delicious. Quadrotti and Reginette are very good and perfect cooked pasta. Service is nice and friendly. I enjoy so much of this meal. I will probably come back when the weather is warmer.“

“Barano is one of my favorite NYC restaurants. I have been coming here, or ordering online, for years and it never disappoints. I recently took my friend to Barano to celebrate both her birthday and pregnancy, and she had a wonderful time! The food and drinks were excellent, including her mocktails. The waiter even brought out a couple comped desserts at the end that really made her night. Everything was fantastic!“

“This is a hidden gem. I'm convinced if it was closer to Atlantic it would be impossible to get a table at. From the service, to the food, to the ambiance, it's a must visit. First of all, the food is sensational. Homemade pasta (the ravioli and stuffed gnocchi is a must); authentic Italian food all made to order by the nicest chef. Second of all, the owner/manager is kind, generous with his time in answering questions, and you don't feel rushed. We sat finishing a bottle of wine while regulars stopped by and chatted with the owners over a glass of wine at the counter. I couldn't recommend it more and you won't be disappointed. Pete Wells is missing out!“

“I've been wanting to go here for a while but have been a bit hesitant because of the price. I'm so glad I finally went, because it was definitely worth it! We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. She gave us some great recommendations. The food was excellent. I had the beet & grapefruit salad and the Taglierini al limone, and both were unique and delicious. I loved the light, but cozy atmosphere too.“

“This place is solid! We did a walk in on a random Monday night. I got the oxtail special (on a bed of risotto). I was extremely hesitant at first since this is an Italian place but I enjoyed every bite. The meat was very tender and falling off the bone and fulfilling. My friend got a pasta dish and they got it wrong but she still liked it. I think the service could have been better and the garbage bags outside is really off putting like others have commented but I’ve been meaning to try this place and walked away pretty happy.“

“This is the perfect neighborhood wine bar and restaurant. Small menu , with each dish carefully prepared. The wine choices are eclectic and reflect the Sicilian locale, and the dishes are well above par for Sicilian fare in the US. We had a great time there.“

“First dinner in NYC, and it was a hit. Suited everything we wanted. Staff was attentive and encouraged us to relax and take our time. We chose patio seating when making the reservation earlier in the day, and it was very cute.Inventive and interesting menu, and the food came out quickly and was amazing! It smelled so good when served that we forgot to take pics!!The restaurant is small and intimate. Not suited for large parties on a whim.We got the pesto small plate, the meatballs small plate (4 meatballs), and the Cavatelli plus two drinks from the cocktail menu. Bill was $99. All of it was amazing. Even the bread that accompanied the small plates was perfect, too!!Parking: Take public transit or walkWheelchair accessibility: Not very accessible. Lots of steps up/down with high thresholds at doorways.“

“I wish I had opened Popina myself. It is a perfect restaurant. The spicy chicken milanese and carolina arancini are sublime-- the service is good and I feel a little like I'm in a different city when I go to Popina. One that is hospitable, a little slower, that allows you to savor every moment, sip and bite.“

“I loved this place! Starting with the atmosphere - it is such a homey, cozy vibe and a perfect place for a date, catch up, or to take folks from out of town. The wine list was extensive and very delicious. All the natural wines were incredible and I’d recommend getting one of them! The food was seriously the dark horse for me. My friend selected this spot and recommended it for its wines. But the food was such a show stopper. The warm olives were absolutely incredible with a light and fluffy foccaciaThe brassicas were so well seasoned, charred, and balancedThe branzinos skin was so crispy with a delicious and balanced tomatoey, buttery, bright sauce. We also had the prosciutto and melon what a delight.Overall the food portions are larger than you’d expect and the value at this place is incredible.I will be back!!“

“I really do like the Cobble Hill area lately. High quality Manhattan style restaurants with very tasty food, easy parking for much less $. So this place I found by pure strike of luck, as Brazilian restaurant where I had reservation has been closed already, we decided to give it a try to its next door neighbor. So, this is an Italian place where everyone from the owner to the waiter speaks Italian... Should I say more? They specialize in pizza as they have a real fire oven, and your pizza will be prepared as you order. They have a variety of good pastas, but you definitely have to try their ribeye steak!!! This place gets on top of the list of my favorite steak places! The finger potatoes that go and the side are out of this world, too.The stuff and the owner are very friendly and helpful to make sure that you will be satisfied to the fullest. Really great place! Highly recommended, I will be back again.“

“Just came from a great and delicious dinner. The Ragu, ravioli omg so delicious such great flavor. The only thing we didn’t like - our server was like please hurry up and order our kitchen is closing. So we felt rushed the entire time. Our reservation was at 9 and we got there right at 9. And we sit and then 5 minutes later she tells us this. That was the only disappointing thing about the meal. Other than that food was great!“
