“Akimori on the upper east side is a delightful culinary experience. The fish was extraordinary and the presentation was amazing. The vegetarian option could use a little more creativity. We had the restaurant ourselves, and it was like having a private chef. Kudos to Paul who made us feel so welcome.“

“The best kosher smoked meats in America by far. My favorite is the lamb ribs with the smoked beans. Overall epic menu. Lots of seating and great service. Parking can be a challenge so be prepared to walk a block or two. It's worth the walk!“

“We ordered a couple of platters (and more!) for a small family party. The food was delivered on time and was absolutely delicious. David is a pleasure to work with and really aims to please his customers. One of our family members has a sesame allergy and he went above and beyond to ensure that the food was sesame free!“

“Went here for brunch with a group of friends. We are a large group of women-14 people, and were pleasantly surprised with such attentive service from the staff. Very accommodating and patient. The food was amazing as well!We loved all of our orders, my most fave were the fish tacos, sea bass bites, and their coffee is spot on. My friends loved the Branzino and the Bay Salad. Honestly, anything is good in their menu, and if you’re in doubt on what to order the waiter will help you making a selection. It’s our local gem.Definitely will be back soon.Thank you!“

“My inaugural visit to The Canteen in Brooklyn was nothing short of a culinary revelation. Established in 2015, this kosher fast-food gem has undoubtedly set the standard for a new era of high-quality and delectable kosher delights in NYC.From the moment I stepped into The Canteen, the lively atmosphere and enticing aromas hinted at the gastronomic journey awaiting me. The restaurant's commitment to providing high-quality kosher fast food was evident from the diverse menu, boasting a tantalizing array of options that went beyond the typical fast-food fare. The standout dish that stole the show was the country-fried schnitzel. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with flavor, it was a true testament to The Canteen's dedication to elevating traditional favorites. Each bite was a harmonious dance of textures and tastes, showcasing the culinary prowess behind this Brooklyn establishment. The pulled-beef brisket and burgers were equally impressive, offering a savory symphony of seasoned meat and carefully selected toppings. The meticulous attention to detail in crafting each dish was apparent, as every component contributed to the overall deliciousness.A particular highlight that cannot be overlooked was the nationally renowned soft beef jerky. The Canteen has perfected the art of creating tender, flavorful jerky that sets a new standard for this classic snack. It's a must-try for any beef jerky enthusiast or someone looking to experience this culinary marvel for the first time. The Canteen succeeds not only in delivering exceptional flavors but also in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff exuded friendliness and efficiency, ensuring that my first visit was a memorable and enjoyable experience. The dedication to customer satisfaction was evident, making it clear why The Canteen has become a cornerstone of kosher fast food in NYC.“

“Came to Sander's to get some kosher baked goods for my coworkers. I really wanted to get some donuts, but it was too early in the morning, and they were still baking them. Ended up getting some rugelach that were fresh from the oven. The rugelach were a hit in the office. The staff really liked them. My coworker who was kosher really liked them too. A bunch of people just kept eating them throughout the day. The rugelach were delicious. The chocolate was good. The pastry wasn't too sweet. The vanilla ones were great too, but I really liked the chocolate ones the best. They have a dress code that they post in front of the store before you go in. Make sure you wear closed toe shoes, cover your knees, and shoulders. It shouldn't be a problem in the winter though. If you want some good baked goods, Sander's is a great option. If you're like me and wanting to pick up some kosher pastries, I would check which certification your friend/coworker accept as there are many they may or may not eat.“

“This is one of those exceptional spots where the owner is manically obsessed with serving food that feeds you on a deep level both culinarily and spiritually.Shlomie the owner is meticulous in making sure your dish is perfect and will singularly focus on each person, table and dish, one at a time.Go with patience and grace and you’ll often be rewarded with an extra slice of incredible babka chefs compliments because shloime felt like you just had to have it.We ordered the Gingy - felt like biting into a slice of a Seattle fish market with the freshest array of orange fish, down to the caviar sprinkled about.Special of the day Potato Knish - lathered with a poached egg and mustard sauce. Felt like being transported to the lower east side 100 years ago.For the grand finale the cheese blitzes transport you to a Parisian cafe which is what this place feels like the second you walk in.“

“We got a falafel plate and pita. The falafels stayed soft yet crunchy on the outside, and were filled with amazing flavors and spices. Genuinely, it was the best falafel I’ve had, and I think it will be hard to top.The salad, pita and hummus were very authentic and great on their own. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. ?“

“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Focaccia Pizza in Brooklyn, and it was an absolute delight! This pizza joint specializes in personal pies, and I must say, it's a game-changer. The highlight of the experience for me was undoubtedly the incredible taste of their pizza crust!Focaccia Pizza takes pizza-making to the next level with their real brick oven. The crust, perfectly cooked in the oven, has a unique flavor and texture that sets it apart. The dough they use is simply outstanding and adds an extra layer of deliciousness. Every bite left me wanting more.If you're a pizza lover in Brooklyn, Focaccia Pizza is a must-try. “I catered my daughter’s Shabbos Kallah from Spring. It was my first wedding, and I had no idea what I was doing. I just knew the quality of the food from Spring was what I wanted for our party. The owner of Spring was so helpful in creating a menu and figuring out how much food to order. He made it easy to deal with the special dietary needs of different guests. Everything arrived labeled so I would know what to serve and when. The food was super fresh and tasted great. We all loved it— kids and adults! After the party, I went to Spring to get some food for the rest of our trip. I met the cook and manager. Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was clean, refreshing and uplifting. I can't wait to go back!Dietary restrictions: The staff knows the ingredients in each dish, and they were able to help me navigate what I could and couldn't eat given my dietary restrictions.“

About 6 weeks later I was there and mentioned that I once forgot my drink so I would like it now. They asked for my tel #, looked it up and said "Yup! We have a note on that". That is WAY beyond what you would expect from a Sushi restaurant.Highly reccomend!“

As a kosher restaurant, it offers a welcoming environment for all, respecting diverse dietary needs. My experience as a military member was enhanced by their thoughtful military discount, a gesture of appreciation that did not go unnoticed. “The Mefuneket sandwich may be simple, but is so so delicious! I love that it comes with some many fresh veggies. Moti the owner is so sweet. He's always checking in on everyone and making each customer feel like they're one of his friends. If you want more pepper, no problem! Moti will give you extra banana peppers or jalapeños if you ask. The store itself isn't the prettiest to look at, but the service and food more than make up for that. I highly suggest you come to Think Sweet for breakfast or lunch if you're in the neighborhood.“
