“A great place to try Taiwanese food with a slight modern twist! Definitely get their popcorn chicken and celtuce salad! The popcorn chicken is dusted with delicious seasoning and topped with a not-too-sweet hot honey. It's not like the popcorn chicken you get at a boba shop, but it's so delicious. Easily my favorite item. The celtuce salad had a strong peppercorn and mala aroma to it, but wasn't spicy. It had a nice vinegar flavor and paired well with other entrees. The fried rice was good but was made up of mostly cabbage/vegetable. The beef noodle soup was my least favorite item, but was fine. It lacked the classic beefy, savory flavor that I typically enjoy in Taiwanese beef noodles.“

The service was outstanding beginning with the warm welcome we received, to the expert advice from the owners, and culminating with the attentive service from the wait staff. The wine, custom cocktail, and beer lists were interesting and eclectic, and we loved the wines and cocktails recommended by our server. All in all, we enjoyed a wonderful dining experience in a beautiful restaurant. I highly recommend Rangoon!“

The outdoor patio was a cozy added bonus. Everything we had was so tasty! I especially liked the spicy lamb dish, mapo tofu with lobster, and the dumplings. Drinks were on point, service was excellent, and we loved our dinner here overall. Can't wait to be back soon next time we're in Brooklyn!“

“This is another hole in wall place that we found and thought was a gem. Everything was so good. Basically a hot bowl of noodles soup. They bring everything out in their own little bowl and then you put them all in the boiling soup. You can also ask them to cook everything before bringing it out. We ordered their frice rice which we very nice too. Rice was very fresh and has a nice aroma. The place is small but clean. Better get there early or plan to wait. You go up to order and they will bring to you but tip is not required.“

“We came here to see what the hype was about. The host was very helpful and friendly, helped our big group order and seated us. I got the basic set with an egg and level 2 spice. It was definitely an above average ramen, and for a tonkotsu broth, it was better than most I've had. I think they do everything here very well. The broth was extremely umami but not overly fatty or oily, maybe a hair on the salty side. The spice was excellent and a perfect level to get the sweat going. The noodles were perfectly firm and absorbed the broth well. The egg for me was a hair over but I like my egg more runny. If you're here for a full meal, I recommend extra noodles if you want to finish the broth; I had half the bowl remaining when I finished my noodles. Worth the money? Yeah I'd say so and the experience was fun. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here but if I were in the area, I would come back.“

“Xi'an famous Foods gained notoriety for its quality hand pulled noodles and bold flavors. This location in Brooklyn upholds that same quality and flavor in a no frills environment. Upon entering, you order from a kiosk and within minutes are served your food of choice! On this visit, I opted for the spicy cumin lamb noodles and they didn't disappoint. During your visit, you'll see a sign that mentions ordering the food "not spicy" would tremendously alter the flavor and I agree. I would recommend trying to bear the spice even if you aren't a big fan of spicy foods because they add a tremendous amount of flavor. The noodles were bouncy yet firm with each bite. The lamb was tender and coated with cumin to add additional flavor to the spicy soup. Overall, Xi'an Famous foods is a must try if you're looking for hand pulled noodles and can brave some spice. PSA: make sure to grab an abundance of napkins as the soup can splash and stain and become a nightmare if you're wearing a white shirt!“

Stumbled upon this place towards the back of the market hall and decided to try it out. Prices were also reasonable so why not. It was pleasantly nice, made fresh to order. “A small mom-and-pop noodle spot on 86th Street between Bay Parkway and 21st Ave. If you ever lived or visited Hong Kong, you would know that wonton and wonton noodles are a big part of the culture. It's quick, inexpensive, and satisfying! The menu is simple with a lot of mix and match options, which I really like. We wanted to try everything but went for the Signature Four Topping Soup, which came with Wonton, Fish Ball, Sliced Beef, and Pork Liver. This dish is weightlifter's dream - packed with protein. The Wonton is ginormous and packed with a large shrimp, meat, and flavor. The Fish Ball is bouncy and tender. We also shared a noodle with meat sauce (no soup). The sauce was light and delicious and went perfectly with all the meat. I didn't try the wonton noodles, but my nephew had it, and he said it was really good. The HK style Lemon Tea and Milk Tea are the BEST here with the right amount of sweetness and noticeable English tea taste.Quick and friendly service. Highly recommended if you find yourself in the Bath Beach/Bensonhurst area.“

“On 09/05/2024, my family and I went for dinner, ordered gyuru lagman, classic lagman and dapanji and they immediately brought us baursaks as a compliment and they turned out to be fresh and very tasty, then they brought us our orders and we were very delighted with the taste of lagman because that we haven’t tried such a real Uyghur lagman in New York City for a long time. The establishment is very clean and this is one of the most important priorities! And we really liked that they brought it in disposable dishes, starting with glasses, because it is much more hygienic than using reusable dishes, because with reusable dishes you don’t know which person ate before you and how they washed him, but disposable dishes are the most hygienic dishes! Well done for coming up with this, may the Almighty give you success!“

“I'm embarrassed to say but I have been working in DUMBO for 5 long years and haven't been to this place until today. Until now I thought, my only savior for lunch was sweetgreen below. LOL . My colleagues who been around for less than 6m discovered this place faster. Ouch! Ok anyway continuing, I ordered the tofu stir fry with noodles, requested for extra spicy and I'm still drooling at the thought of it. They were hot, they were hot and they were hot that including the taste and temperature. Also, ordered the vegan dumplings they were good, and could have been nicer. There's a sauce counter that includes the housemade chilli red sauce, green jalapeno sauce, and soy sauces to take with your to-go. The wait time for 2 items from ordering to packing was around 15mins. Interiors- The space is tight, with the kitchen occupying most of it, there's like bar seats arranged for a couple of indoor diners but there's this beautiful aroma that encapsulates you as soon as you enter, which is what struck me the most. I still remember it 24 hours later! Their beverages seemed exciting, will be trying it out once. Price-wise - it is steep, I mean $18 for the noodle for one meal with $6dumplings is expensive if I had to come everyday! But anything local is as expensive, I might as well spend for the flavor. I will be returning to try out more from their menu.“
