“The best Spanish food restaurant in NY, at the level of the tops in Barcelona and Madrid. Excellent quality, excellent wines. The unbeatable treatment. The atmosphere very pleasant. We will repeat soon to be able to dine in that pleasant garden...“

“Traif is so outstanding that it reminds me, despite our crumbling society, that there is a beacon of hope, a light at the end of the tunnel in the form of a chef’s tasting menu, where each dish is so flavorful, so delicious, that I shed not one, but several tears that maybe, just maybe, humanity has a chance of food this good still exists.“

“Great atmosphere, and layout. There are quite a few seating areas: the front entrance has a few tables, there’s seating by the bar, before the patio and finally there’s a patio. It is stunning. My friend and I didn’t have a table which was fine because the garden area had amazing seating. Our bottle of rosé came up to $60 which was a bit pricey; would love if there was a free bite to have in addition to getting a bottle (like bread and olive oil or a biscuit).Overall, I would come back here. The food menu from what I noticed is very light, so plan accordingly.“

“Nice place, nice location, friendly informative staff, great service, good food, good portions. Perfect dining experience. We had the river dog oysters for an appetizer, we split a mickeys salad, and a meg Ryan pizza, espresso was great. The pear brandy was great with the ice cream. Will definitely go back.“

“Incredibly phenomenal! I live a block away and Eyval has been on my list for over a year. My besties are in town and I finally obtained a reservation. We enjoyed everything even though we were wildly exhausted from a busy day. We had the whipped feta, cabbage & date salad, potatoes, scallops, lamb ribs, chicken entree. We loved everything we ordered including the drinks where we had red wine and the iced tea old fashioned. I live so close but it's so hard to get a table at Eyval. I wish they did to go orders!“

“As per most of my other recent reviews, I went to this Southern spot several months back. We went here after they had unexpectedly gone on the best new restaurants list having barely heard about the restaurant otherwise. The lighting was nice here and the staff was friendly giving good recommendations. They have ample space as well. The spot has a fun creative cocktail menu which are reasonably priced with some drinks having rather humorous names. I went with the A Complex Cocktail For Bitter People for $15 which is their take on a Negroni with roots of ruin gin, saffron liqueur, and vermouth di torino bianco which was excellent. The cocktail had a nice presentation with the vivid off yellow and the flower and it had a nice balance of bitterness, citrus, and herbal flavors. This was excellent though not on the current drink menu. They also had the opposite named A Bitter Cocktail For Complex People which was their take on a Manhattan along with plenty of other choices. As per usual for food, we split a lot of dishes. For smaller plates, my favorite was the Country Fried Baby Back Ribs for $16 with dill & vinegar and jezebel sauce. This sauce in question contains fruit jelly and combined with the dill and vinegar; it was a nice mix of sour and sweet with very tender ribs which weren't too heavily fried. Excellent. Also tasty was the Hush Puppies for $10 with jalapeno, cheddar, popcorn, and remoulade. They were lighter than expected with a little kick and the popcorn was fun for presentation. I think the remoulade should be on this side and not presented on top but I guess it's more artful that way. OK was the Crab Cake for $24 listed as corn flake crusted with whole grain mustard, radish, and herb salad. It was a bit pricey and the flavors didn't pop as much as the other appetizers. The mustard was a fun spin but perhaps don't order this as this is probably one of the only overpriced things on the menu outside of perhaps the steak. We ordered two main dishes; the Roasted Rib Cap and the Crispy 1/2 Chicken which were both fine. The former for $42 with bourbon worcestershire caramel consisted of a very tender steak though maybe a bit small. The sauce indeed had some sweetness but there was a bit of salt on the steak so it was pretty well balanced. The latter dish for $26 with`bama white sauce and herbs was solid. Tender fried chicken with a fun presentation. No real major complaints though I am not exactly sure if it is half a chicken (probably is though.) The restaurant is also known for it's desserts so we got both to share which are both $12. Of the two, my preference was the Key Lime Tart with toasted coconut and candied lime zest. I haven't had many good key lime tarts in the city and this was excellent as it wasn't too sour or sweet. The candied lime zest on top as well as the coconut just added extra pizzazz. I almost found the latter Banana Pudding Tart with caramel and vanilla wafers to be a bit worse. It was well presented as per the other dessert and it was plenty rich but it was perhaps a bit too sweet with the amount of caramel they put on top. This is a fun spin on Southern food which isn't exactly a cuisine you find commonly enhanced. The desserts and appetizers were definitely better than the entrees but the entrees weren't too shabby either. Upper 3/low 4.“

“I was under the impression Masquerade opened under a year ago, I was wrong. They've been open for about two years and somehow I've only heard about them recently. Nestled under the J with an unassuming storefront, find Masquerade. Consider this your notice to get over to Masquerade and basque in the Iranian delights that they're serving up. Everything we ate and drank was great - big flavors and they not too shabby on the creativity level either. Here's what we got for a party of two; we shared everything and it was the perfect amount. Drink Rosewater Negroni Saffron Old Fashioned Thief of Ceremonies x2 (one with tequila, one with gin) Eat Kashk e Bademjoon Mast o Moosir Feta Herb Barbari Toast Skirt Steak Beans & Mushrooms Dessert Cardamom Cake There you have it. “The bartender was attentive, kind, chill, knowledgeable. Drinks were great. I came after my session of hot yoga next door. Instead of being responsible and going to the grocery store, I decided I needed a cocktail. The music was great, the other patrons were also very low key and chill. I had their HH martini in gin and then in vodka. Great deal and served with a pickled shallot (nostalgic for me and a fave).“

“The Little Pig is one of the best Cocktail Bars in Brooklyn, hands down. The atmosphere is dope, the staff are literally SO nice, interactive and accepting and the owner is super nice too! Such good vibes here! The drinks are great, and the bartenders will help you with recommendations that are spot on. Not to mention, they offer a really affordable happy hour menu as well.Whether you want to do a quick drink for happy hour, stop by with friends at night, or make a pit stop for a drink, The Little Pig offers it all.“
“Coziest wine bar ever with the best service. Get here early on the weekends because it's small and gets busy. I've had the brownie, the mussels, oysters, and hummus and all were delicious. I even asked for a non red pairing for the brownie and it paired well lol. Last time I was here I brought a book to read and they made the lighting a little brighter for me. All in all great.“

“I've dined in many places in the area. The rusty face is by far my favorite go to spot for any occasion. It has everything, phenomenal food, slamming drinks, great music, tasteful decor and an awesome ambiance. I've brought dates there, had close knit family dinners and even had my mother's 60th birthday at the rusty face. That place never misses. 10 for 10. The best part of the whole establishment is the owner, Illy. He treats every guest like a close personal friend because he genuinely cares about your experience and his restaurant. I've eaten all kinds of food since I was a kid. The rusty face is now the only place I'll order grilled octopus and my son who is kind of a picky eater, now loves lamb because of this spot. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself and loved ones to a meal at the rusty face. You won't be disappointed.Kid-friendliness: The owner loves everyone. Bring the whole family! If you have a furry friend, there's also outside seating.“

We had the George Washingtons night out and Manifesto of Surrealism and they were both fantastic. The oysters were fresh. Definitely see ourselves coming back to this one!Parking: Found street parking a block from the place! Wasn’t bad at all“

“I ordered Guacamole & Chips as an appetizer, then I ordered the Cheese burger for my meal. The chips were house made, so good & the Guacamole was just how I like it. Not too thick, on the creamy side & I could taste the lemon/lime . The burger was no ordinary burger. It was massive for a great price . Very juicy & EXTREMELY well seasoned in every single bite. I could only finish half but I'm so happy to have left overs . lol They don't have fries and that was kind of disappointing but they do have house fried potatoes which made up for it. They were so good , I didn't even need ketchup . Atmosphere is great, great service, loved it all the way around . Definitely coming back !“

“I'm embarrassed to say but I have been working in DUMBO for 5 long years and haven't been to this place until today. Until now I thought, my only savior for lunch was sweetgreen below. LOL . My colleagues who been around for less than 6m discovered this place faster. Ouch! Ok anyway continuing, I ordered the tofu stir fry with noodles, requested for extra spicy and I'm still drooling at the thought of it. They were hot, they were hot and they were hot that including the taste and temperature. Also, ordered the vegan dumplings they were good, and could have been nicer. There's a sauce counter that includes the housemade chilli red sauce, green jalapeno sauce, and soy sauces to take with your to-go. The wait time for 2 items from ordering to packing was around 15mins. Interiors- The space is tight, with the kitchen occupying most of it, there's like bar seats arranged for a couple of indoor diners but there's this beautiful aroma that encapsulates you as soon as you enter, which is what struck me the most. I still remember it 24 hours later! Their beverages seemed exciting, will be trying it out once. Price-wise - it is steep, I mean $18 for the noodle for one meal with $6dumplings is expensive if I had to come everyday! But anything local is as expensive, I might as well spend for the flavor. I will be returning to try out more from their menu.“

“Visited "Altar" in my old hood of Crown Heights, Brooklyn. It's a very cute and cozy cocktail bar (with a speakeasy vibe). I'm still tripping about being able to sip and dine in my old stomping grounds. I'm not a Negroni kind of gal because it's a bit bitter for me. But the pineapple infused Mezcal one called out to me. Delish! I had two of them. They also have tasty small plates. The yucca fries were perfect. And my sipping mates said the lobster sliders were tasty. Our server Vanessa was wonderful. And while I didn't partake in the happy hour classic offerings, it's until 7p on Saturday and all day Sunday. My/our tongue clicking sips for the evening: PINEAPPLE NEGRONI pineapple infused mezcal, campari, sweet vermouth NOT ANOTHER WORD gin, green chartruese, maraschino, bergamot (One of my favs is the Last Word. The bergamot is the added compliment to this treat.) HIGH FEVER tequila blanco, lime cordial, coconut, kalamansi, yellow chartruese, thai basil WHISKEY AF rye infused with fuji apples, ginger, peychaud's Mmmm... Bon Appetit! Cheers! Enjoy!“

“We celebrated our wedding ceremony and reception at MyMoon in October 2023 with a party of 75 people. We cannot fully express how wonderful the whole experience was for us. The venue was everything we wanted- Spanish decor, moody, romantic, cozy, and beautiful greenery in the courtyard and deck. The food and cocktails were delicious! Our event coordinator, Lee, is knowledgeable, super responsive, and organized. The staff was well equipped, attentive, and knew how to run an event. Our wedding went smoothly and Lee was there to address any unexpected concerns and provide support throughout the day. Our guests were surprised by this hidden gem in Brooklyn and expressed how much they enjoyed their time! We would love to attend a wedding here as guests!“
