“No indoor dining because Covid They have taken great care of making a lot of available tables and even have some enclosed outdoor booths. The use of space is pretty amazing and well adapted to the neighborhood They neighborhood is great I saw the prettiest dogs in Brooklyn all walking in full force The place has a friendly family-type vibe Th coworkers are all friendly with each other and warm to their clientele The food is impeccably well prepared, tasty and quite authentically Italian I doubt one could find anything more authentic with such fine ingredients and creatively presented anywhere other than Italy. If you do, let it be known and I’m sure the staff here would feel the kindred spirit of another fine cuisine It’s in the medium-high priced category but it lives up to the prices in its quality Wait staff is genuine and kind and do make a great effort to make one comfortable and enjoy their meal Highly recommend“

The food is delicious- good for all types of diet restrictions. Fresh ingredients well prepared. Last but not least also great cocktails. Host and server were friendly and attentive. I will for sure be coming back here!“

“I recently had a delightful dining experience at Leland Eating and Drinking House in Brooklyn. Starting with a refreshing porter beer from the tap, I then savored the incredible Japanese sweet potato, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The highlight of the meal was the Porchetta Sandwich with ZA'ATAR CHIPS. Encased in their soft and freshly made bread, the sandwich was a symphony of flavors, perfectly complemented by the crispy and tasty house-made chips. Each bite was a testament to their commitment to using high-quality ingredients and crafting memorable dishes. The cozy ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience, making it a fantastic place to unwind and enjoy exceptional food. I look forward to returning to Leland Eating and Drinking House to explore more of their enticing menu offerings! 10 star review!!!“

“Had a lovely time out with family, including two young children, one of whom has celiac. All the food was delicious and thoughtfully cooked, service was so warm and the energy was great. Accommodated gluten restriction perfectly. Kitchen was a tiny bit slower than I’d have wished and I’d love to pay less, but prices are standard for the quality of food/restaurant that they’re running. Will definitely be back.“

“I wanted to come to Ammazzacaffe for a while. One of my friend told me that they have a great wine list and authentic Italian food. Last night was a good day to go so because of they have a limit of seats I made a reservation before I go. I have a glass of Toscana Rosso and because it is happy hour I get two for one. That is awesome! I order pasta so I only have Sea Trout Tartare as an appetizer. I love that they make it sour and taste so delicious. Quadrotti and Reginette are very good and perfect cooked pasta. Service is nice and friendly. I enjoy so much of this meal. I will probably come back when the weather is warmer.“

“Great atmosphere, and layout. There are quite a few seating areas: the front entrance has a few tables, there’s seating by the bar, before the patio and finally there’s a patio. It is stunning. My friend and I didn’t have a table which was fine because the garden area had amazing seating. Our bottle of rosé came up to $60 which was a bit pricey; would love if there was a free bite to have in addition to getting a bottle (like bread and olive oil or a biscuit).Overall, I would come back here. The food menu from what I noticed is very light, so plan accordingly.“

“Ordered half a chicken for delivery and it was bomb. Perfect rotisserie chicken, amazing broth in the box, lemony notes. FAB.I saw a local guide's review say the chicken should have a "little less seasoning"....literally no one has ever said that in the history of chicken eating. They also said it's not crispy enough (huh?) this is a perfect ROTISSERIE chicken. Not fried chicken. Rotisserie. Anyway. I hope to come by in person and try the sides.“

“Incredible food, friendly staff and proprietor who know their wine list, with a sophisticated yet relaxed space that is perfect whether you are looking for a casual Friday night dinner date or a special occasion. And they are amazing caterers too-got raves for the Otway team’s menu and service at our Christmas party!“

“The food was delicious and the service was great. However, as we ordered way too much food, we barely ate the lamb and asked to have most of it to go. Unfortunately only when we got home, we realised that half of the dish was missing (all the vegetables and tortillas)“

“My friends and I recently grabbed Post dinner drinks at this location and really enjoyed our experience. It was a late Friday night and although the place was pretty busy, we were able to find a nice corner at a high top table near the front of the bar, the bar is beautifully decorated, and it feels like you’ve been transported out of Bushwick and into Paris, the staff are very friendly and there is an excellent selection of wine available. Would highly recommend if you’re visiting the area or living here also, the prices were quite decent.“

“Everything was perfection - from their service, to their drinks, to their food. We got the escargot to start, followed by the steak frites, pappardelle, and scallops. Everything was very yummy but the scallops were my favorite, and I will be ordering them again the next time I come!“

“Been wanting to try this spot for a while! They don’t take reservations but you can join a waiting list in person. Arrived around 8:30pm on a Thursday night and got seated about 30-40mins later for 2. They have a separate waiting list for the bar but requires you put a card down. The atmosphere and vibe is top notch and feels like an old school ish bar. I heard the burger was incredible but thought it was a very solid 4 out of 5. The chicken parm was incredible and not as heavy considering it doesn’t come with pasta. Cesar salad was super good! Worth giving it a try if you live in the neighborhood!“

“I've been wanting to go here for a while but have been a bit hesitant because of the price. I'm so glad I finally went, because it was definitely worth it! We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. She gave us some great recommendations. The food was excellent. I had the beet & grapefruit salad and the Taglierini al limone, and both were unique and delicious. I loved the light, but cozy atmosphere too.“

“Cocktails are incredible. Service is unmatched. Space is gorgeous. And yes, their employees are paid fairly. I own a cocktail bar in the neighborhood and know that someone has targeted them (along with their friends) with a series of unfair reviews. Ironically, they seem to not realize how this affects a business and in turn how much money is made by those who work at said business. I do not believe that recent bad reviews have been made in good faith. Anyone who’s been here knows it’s fantastic :)“

“This is the perfect neighborhood wine bar and restaurant. Small menu , with each dish carefully prepared. The wine choices are eclectic and reflect the Sicilian locale, and the dishes are well above par for Sicilian fare in the US. We had a great time there.“

“Walked by this place a hundred times before finally coming in, but glad we did! Came for brunch this morning and the menu is a bit diverse. We had Mexican style molletes (beans and pico de gallo on toast with a fried egg on top) which was declious. And the mushroom and cheese omelette was honestly one of the best omelettes I’ve had. So soft and buttery. Also had a nice cocktail list but we just had coffee today. For a nice sit down brunch was decently priced at less than $30 a person. We will be coming back to try out the drinks next time!“

“Five stars for that rare neighborhood bar that's got both great drinks and great bites in a casual comfortable setting. Unlike the restaurants around it that don't open til 5, PIPS opens earlier. So, get your get-together going early and take advantage of happy hour options.“
“Very solid Italian spot with an in house som to help you navigate their wine list. Pastas were fresh, fairly simple, yet well executed. The linguine with clams comes with plenty of fresh bread to soak up all the delicious broth. The star of our dinner were the desserts though. Both the chocolate cake and off menu tiramisu were so light, it felt like eating a silky cloud. So much flavor packed in as well. Had a great night and would definitely recommend.“
“This is a super cute little spot. It has a very charming heated back patio if you are looking to have a drink with a friend safely during the pandemic.“

“Good but overpriced for what you're getting in terms of portions. Attentive waiters but the kind that make you feel weird if you order less than the usual clientele, not in a rude way by any means. Ambience is locals energy-- a nice go to.“

“Great location for events near Barclays Center, great food (I’ve been to both Black Forest locations), and fun atmosphere. I’ve been here twice for meals the past three months and it hasn’t disappointed one bit. Although the Smith Street location has a nice outdoor area in the back, this location has a more intimate atmosphere because it’s a little smaller.I’ve ordered the pretzel appetizer and the four sausage sampler (bratwurst, a frankfurter type, and a spicy cheesy one) along with a refreshing Hofbrau that comes with your choice of two or three sides. My son has had the chicken schnitzel along with spaetzel. It’s not the cheapest place, but it’s worth the price for the portions that you get. The sausage plate costs about $40 and the apps are $10+. It’s got a pretty impressive list of German beers that come in variety of sizes from a 1/2 pint to a full liter that range in price from $8 to $25.Kid-friendliness: Brought my son here twice - he enjoyed the food.“

“We had a fantastic experience doing a private cooking class with Chef Alex & his team at the Common. Alex was incredibly helpful in setting up and created a special experience for our team. He is extremely welcoming and supportive, and guided us through cooking a 5-course meal in teams. “We went here for our team dinner and had a pretty large group. They had a large table ready for us with custom printed menus and a very dedicated wait staff. From the minute we entered to the point we left, they made each of us feel so warm and welcome, catered to every varying need and dietary restriction, and did so with huge smiles. The food was absolutely spectacular. We had 15 different dishes (and a few custom dishes for those with restrictions) and every single dish was made with finesse and care, bursting with flavor and with fresh ingredients that worked in perfect harmony together. The chef had clearly put a lot of thought into their menu and I appreciated that. The three most outstanding dishes of the night for me were: 1. The bucatini with green peppers and razor clams. This was one of the nicest pastas I've had in a very long time. Very unique and different from what you'd usually get, and everything just worked flawlessly. I could easily go back just to devour a huge bowl of this. 2. The crispy lamb with whole wheat flatbread and green harissa looked unassuming, but it was an absolute flavor bomb. Highly recommend. 3. The chocolate choux craquelin. Everything about this was perfection. It was rich and decadent yet light and refreshing, and was just the perfect end to an outstanding meal. I'd very highly recommend PDF for a romantic dinner with a loved one, as well as with larger groups like ours. Worth going to Brooklyn for this.“
