“We went here for our team dinner and had a pretty large group. They had a large table ready for us with custom printed menus and a very dedicated wait staff. From the minute we entered to the point we left, they made each of us feel so warm and welcome, catered to every varying need and dietary restriction, and did so with huge smiles. The food was absolutely spectacular. We had 15 different dishes (and a few custom dishes for those with restrictions) and every single dish was made with finesse and care, bursting with flavor and with fresh ingredients that worked in perfect harmony together. The chef had clearly put a lot of thought into their menu and I appreciated that. The three most outstanding dishes of the night for me were: 1. The bucatini with green peppers and razor clams. This was one of the nicest pastas I've had in a very long time. Very unique and different from what you'd usually get, and everything just worked flawlessly. I could easily go back just to devour a huge bowl of this. 2. The crispy lamb with whole wheat flatbread and green harissa looked unassuming, but it was an absolute flavor bomb. Highly recommend. 3. The chocolate choux craquelin. Everything about this was perfection. It was rich and decadent yet light and refreshing, and was just the perfect end to an outstanding meal. I'd very highly recommend PDF for a romantic dinner with a loved one, as well as with larger groups like ours. Worth going to Brooklyn for this.“

The use of space is pretty amazing and well adapted to the neighborhood They neighborhood is great I saw the prettiest dogs in Brooklyn all walking in full force The place has a friendly family-type vibe Th coworkers are all friendly with each other and warm to their clientele The food is impeccably well prepared, tasty and quite authentically Italian I doubt one could find anything more authentic with such fine ingredients and creatively presented anywhere other than Italy. If you do, let it be known and I’m sure the staff here would feel the kindred spirit of another fine cuisine It’s in the medium-high priced category but it lives up to the prices in its quality Wait staff is genuine and kind and do make a great effort to make one comfortable and enjoy their meal Highly recommend“

“I recently had a delightful dining experience at Leland Eating and Drinking House in Brooklyn. Starting with a refreshing porter beer from the tap, I then savored the incredible Japanese sweet potato, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The highlight of the meal was the Porchetta Sandwich with ZA'ATAR CHIPS. Encased in their soft and freshly made bread, the sandwich was a symphony of flavors, perfectly complemented by the crispy and tasty house-made chips. Each bite was a testament to their commitment to using high-quality ingredients and crafting memorable dishes. Last night was a good day to go so because of they have a limit of seats I made a reservation before I go. I have a glass of Toscana Rosso and because it is happy hour I get two for one. That is awesome! I order pasta so I only have Sea Trout Tartare as an appetizer. I love that they make it sour and taste so delicious. Quadrotti and Reginette are very good and perfect cooked pasta. It is stunning. My friend and I didn’t have a table which was fine because the garden area had amazing seating. Our bottle of rosé came up to $60 which was a bit pricey; would love if there was a free bite to have in addition to getting a bottle (like bread and olive oil or a biscuit).Overall, I would come back here. The food menu from what I noticed is very light, so plan accordingly.“

I own a cocktail bar in the neighborhood and know that someone has targeted them (along with their friends) with a series of unfair reviews. “Great location for events near Barclays Center, great food (I’ve been to both Black Forest locations), and fun atmosphere. I’ve been here twice for meals the past three months and it hasn’t disappointed one bit. Although the Smith Street location has a nice outdoor area in the back, this location has a more intimate atmosphere because it’s a little smaller.I’ve ordered the pretzel appetizer and the four sausage sampler (bratwurst, a frankfurter type, and a spicy cheesy one) along with a refreshing Hofbrau that comes with your choice of two or three sides. My son has had the chicken schnitzel along with spaetzel. It’s not the cheapest place, but it’s worth the price for the portions that you get. The sausage plate costs about $40 and the apps are $10+. It’s got a pretty impressive list of German beers that come in variety of sizes from a 1/2 pint to a full liter that range in price from $8 to $25.Kid-friendliness: Brought my son here twice - he enjoyed the food.“
