The streams of "flowers" haning from every inch of thr ceiling were absolutely STUNNING. The wait staff are very amiable and the food is ok. The cocktails and dessert are definitely worth a visit. Yet be warned... It's a bit pricey-- and withnthe tables upon tables of people celebrating the milestones of life in their existence... It... is-- LOUD!!!“

“For the most part this place has decent stuff. The sauce on the regular is a bit light meaning when it's said and done it's kind of on the watery runny side. The dough and cheese are good. And it's cooked thoroughly with a snappy crust.I like to grade a pizzeria based on the plain slice along. This is the bread and butter most times if your regular is mastered your good to go.“

“A nice and quaint restaurant . The service so far has been very good . The chef has been very accommodating to my allergy needs. I cannot eat sauce cooked with basil and even though they do , the chef makes my eggplant and pasta dish with fresh tomato sauce. I've been to several Italian restaurants and they will not accommodate my allergy needs and they have every time I go there. I'm very grateful that I can finally order an eggplant dish and enjoy it without having to worry about any food allergies. Kudos to Da Franco & Tony's Restaurant !!!!!!!“

The food was served well prepared and nice presentation. very complete menu with plenty of choices for all. my main comment is that the acoustics are terrible. (busy sat night), place was full and literally had to bend across the table to hear each other. I believe it is listed as a $$$ pricing. the bill without drinks (for 2) was 140 and 60 more for 4 drinks. i will definitely give it another try when less busy as the food and service was very good.“

“My son took me here for a birthday dinner after hanging at Rockaway Beach. This was one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to. The pasta is homemade and delicious. “Similar to other Mother Kelly’s this place has a fantastic menu of beer (and ciders and wines if that’s your jam). The game changer is the pizza, it is simply amazing. A whole pizza is MASSIVE although quite a thin crust so manageable between a couple of you. They sell it by the slice too. Had some birthday drinks there recently with a group of people and they went down a treat. Don’t know if they still serve the meat and cheese platters, don’t care - get a pizza.“

We started with the special appetitezers of the day, so good the bake oysters, burrata cheese, and calamari. The main courses we have are veal chop, Pollo marsala, and bolognese pasta. “Great Italian deli. Good for lunch but if I had one complaint is that they give you way too much food! When we get this at work for lunch, I have to plan it as a two day meal. But I will say, their catering blows away any other catering place. You order a tray of chicken francaise or parmigiana and you get more chicken than you could ever expect. They do not short change you on the amount of food they give you. But add to that, it's outstanding! The catering here is unbeatable! Trust me when I tell you, next family party, get it catered here. I was surprised the restaurant does not market their establishment date with their motto, as 14+ years is no small feat. My original visit a few years ago, attending an event with my colleagues bundled in a smaller section of the restaurant left a lot to be desired. It had myself questioning whether I should attend yet another milestone event squished in a corner. After succumbing to the pressures as to why I should attend, I was pleased that this evening's Jan 2024 Retirement Dinner, was set up in the larger part of the restaurant. Great company. Entering from the main door you are met with a warm, cozy glow on the smaller, bar side of the restaurant and then an immediate separation to the larger main dining area. The main area allowed the space needed for co-workers not seen in ages an opportunity to mingle freely. Much more comfortable. Good food. A small sample of the Berkshire Pork Chop was perfectly prepared. I definitely recommend. My Almond Crusted Stuffed Chicken Breast was a savory, sweet dish with the accompanying mashed Sweet Potatoes. Another perfect combination. To add to the pleasantries of the evening, our obviously skilled servers offered prompt, satisfactory service. Any request I or my table companions made were fulfilled without any necessary follow up. There may have been exceptions, though all appeared content with the service. “Best crispy eggplant sandwich ever! I used to try different things every time we ordered but ever since I had that sandwich for the first time in November last year, it was a wrap. That sandwich ….yum….aioli is off the chart, it’s really filling (usually only eat half at a clip) and I’m pretty sure I dream about it, lol. “Taglio is my go-to pizza place whenever I am catching a train by the Mineola LIRR station. They serve roman-style pizza which are crispy rectangular slices coming in a variety of styles including a white slice, vodka slice, eggplant slice, and much more. Their options are endless and I am sure that if you visit, they will have something of your liking. For a recommendation, I usually get the Bianco Roman slice and the Melenzane Roman Slice.Other than the fact they serve roman-style pizza, this restaurant is like any other NY pizzeria where you can order your slices and choose to sit in their small seating area or take it to go. Crust was a little dry and there was some flop to the slice. I had to throw out the end of the crust because it was hard to finish. Not too greasy and minimal oil drip. Overall, I would rate this slice an 8.2/10.Specialty slice: For my specialty slice, I ordered a Bianco Roman Slice. The slice had a good balance of four different cheeses and I like the fact that the ricotta did not overpower the other cheeses. I also like that they added garlic, which really enhances the flavor of a white slice. I know a lot of places that forget this important step. The crust was very dry though and it felt like I was eating a very crispy piece of ciabatta bread topped with cheese and basil. It was definitely not one cohesive slice. It could be due to the pie possibly sitting out for a while or it was just made like this. I will have to try it fresh next time.
