“This place looks LOVELY! I used to live a block away from them over a year ago so I would pass by pretty frequently after work to get some alfajores, pan de bono or chicken and cheese buns -and their pastries were always very very good ?Super clean and cozy with many outdoor seats, perfect for summer - not really that many seats indoor thoughI passed by again a couple of days ago and their alfajores have changed quite a bit ? not really a fan of the new version BUT their pan de bono was delicious! They now have more pastry options (like pan de bono with guava filling ? - super tasty by the way)I would definitely love to return another time to grab some breakfast and coffee - and try some of their latest menu additions“

“I enjoyed the food here as the churasco and pollo were of high quality. Service was also spectacular, even providing my friend a charger to communicate with me while I arrived when her phone died. The only issue is the rice which was exceedingly moist, definitely more than any I ever had in Colombia, the US or anywhere else. Barring this, every aspect was great!“

“I love a good empanada and while these are not the empanadas from Caracas at Far Rockaway beach, being that these are so accessible, I am a fan. I picked up an assortment of 10 empanadas to take to a party and they were a huge hit. I wasn't sure about the "fried" arepas being too greasy given I am used to baked empanadas, but I really enjoyed both the baked and fried options that I tried. I wish that they offered more baked options as those are more "basic" - just chicken, beef, cheese, potato and some of the more specialty empanadas are truly delicious. In particular I liked the bombay, greek spinach pie, and spicy chicken. While the 10 empanadas just came in a paper bag, each was individually wrapped with a stamp on the bag as to which flavor it was.“

“Came here cause of fung bros video and got the bourbon chicken and el toro(oxtail), thought we ate the el Toro first but realize it was the chicken and it tatste even better than the first one, comes with a sweet Chili and lime sauce, the lime sauce was really refreshing and made it tatse even better. So good we forgot to take a photo til the last bite lol, does take about 10 mins to make but it's made super fresh and well worth the wait, we'll definitely come back again when we visit nyc.“

“Sooooo Good !!!!!! We tried the huevos pericos, jamón y queso, pollo mechada and the chorizo arepas and all were super tasty !!! Great portion size too. Pro tip - make sure you ask them to add the salsa picante to your arepa for that little extra kick of flavour.“

“My wife and I almost skipped this place based on a few poor reviews. So glad we didn't. So first off...this is traditional Columbian food. It's not highly spiced. Those reviews seem to be confusing Columbian with Mexican. As for the service, in a word: lovely. As for the portions: I got the small mixed plate and it was plenty enough. Oh, and dessert? You'd be a fool to pass up the Tres Leches cake. Two of us could barely (but still greedily) finish one slice of that richly, sweetly delight. My only reason for less than 5 stars on the food was that the steak arrived at the table less than hot.“

“I am from the neighborhood(live on 42nd) and been there a bunch of times. Food is great, they have good choices and staff is friendly yet professional. I also pass by there 4-5 times a week and always see that they are running a tight operation and place is always clean and neat. Also you can see the kitchen as you order the food. They are pretty organized and clean. Food tastes great. Never had issues. Glad to have places like this in my hood.“

“The best chicken soup in the LIC delivery area. When I'm not feeling well, I don't have energy to my make my chicken soup from scratch. Found this place on yelp, and their soup is by far the most homemade tasting ever. So comforting and delicious! Sorry no pic because I finished it too fast.. but had large chunks of carrot, potatoes, herbs and lots of fresh fall off the bone dark meat chicken.“

“This is Colombian fast food and street food fusion at its finest. A meat lovers oasis that serves up well portioned, well constructed and extremely flavorful dishes. The creativity is a challenge for your palate. The flavor explosion is the gastronomic reward of the journey. The service is fabulously Colombian, South American hospitality/friendliness, accommodating and extensively menu knowledgeable. The decor of this munch-spot is of a Colombian BBQ pit with an American flair. Tastefully designed to resemble a road side BBQ shack. Music keeps it bumpin' and is all about the Latin BBQ Vibe. Seating is limited, large groups of 10 or more will be difficult to accommodate. No outdoor seating is available due to heavy vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Worth the ride to munch with friends, family or a casual date. WASH YOUR HANDS BECAUSE YOU WILL BE LICKING YOUR FINGERS. Yummy Tummy!“

“The food was tasty, the portions are large, one plate serves 2 people. The place is very clean and beautiful.4 stars because the rest of the experience should not be influenced by the gesticulating waiter and the fact that I ordered something and he brought me something different (he didn't want to bring what I asked for, just what he wanted) he can barely eat.“

“It's a great coffee and breakfast spot!! They have lots of Colombian bakes. My favorite is always Pandebono, which is cheesy, a little sweet roll, I love it with coffee. I had also they healthy breakfast sandwich Bella, which is grilled portobello mushrooms, avocado, lettuce mix, walnuts, carrots, onions, and parmesan cheese and I also added sunny side up egg. It was really good. I'm definitely recommending this spot. ?“

“[Review of 4/27/24 Visit] If you have been to Colombia before and want a reminder of your experience there, then visit Bogotá Latin Bistro! Come for the authentic Colombian food / drinks, as well as vibrant ambiance, but stay for the exceptional service. I had moved back to NYC after spending some time in Colombia, and I visited Bogotá Latin Bistro to reconnect with that beautiful country. My visit exceeded my expectations. The ambiance at Bogota Latin Bistro strikes the perfect balance between cozy and lively, with decor of Colombian colors and "rolo" (Bogota) decorations and a variety of Latin music that instantly lifts up your spirits. Whether you're here for a meal with friends or for a casual date with someone, the restaurant's welcoming vibes make you feel right at home. In my case, I ate alone and admired the interesting Colombian artwork and tchotchkes lining the restaurant walls. The menu celebrates the rich flavors and ingredients of Colombia. From classic arepas and empanadas to mouthwatering bandeja paisa, which I ordered, the menu makes me want to return to Bogota Latin Bistro at least 2 or 3 more times to taste the items I haven't tried yet. I also took the opportunity to try the "Boozy Brunch" special in which I enjoyed different mimosas containing juice from fruits common to Colombia, such as maracuya and lulo. Qué rico!! Yummy! What truly sets Bogota Latin Bistro apart from the other Colombian restaurants I've visited in Manhattan and Brooklyn is the exceptional service from the waitstaff. An incredible, lovely woman from Bogota, named Valentina, served my table and she made my visit memorable. With her warmth and happy attitude, she reminded me of the many amazing Colombians I know from Bogota and Medellin. I asked her if I could order in Spanish so that I could practice my Spanish, and she didn't hesitate to speak clearly and slowly en espanol to me so that I could understand her. In addition, when she asked me what foods I missed eating in Colombia, I mentioned that I missed having fruit "salpicon". And later on in my meal, when I was ready to enjoy another mimsoa, she surprised me with a "salpicon mimosa" containing juices from various Colombian fruits, which I enjoyed so much! Also, during our conversation, I had mentioned the name of a song that I liked from a popular singer from Medellin. And to my pleasant surprise, I heard that same song playing in the restaurant a few minutes later on! Valentina's attention-to-detail (and her patience with my mediocre Spanish, haha) makes me want to return to Bogota Latin Bistro as soon as possible!“

“I don't give it five stars because they made us wait a few minutes before making us sit down, there were unoccupied tables and finally a man who was not the waitress seated us, but when it came to quality, quantity, price 100% recommended. I would return without a doubt. Personal recommendation, I have a baby who is learning to eat and I asked for a plate and they brought me one of tableware, which I returned for obvious reasons, so some disposable plates would not be bad for the little ones.“

“My first time have arepas and I'm impressed. I got their arepas de choclo with steak and it was fantastic. The only negative I had, was that it was quite salty. The more you eat it, the saltier it does get, and it was a bit heavy so I was very sleepy afterwards. But other than that, it was really good. I recommend the tostones with guacamole, it came out hot and fresh and it was so good!!Also tried their black beans and rice. The beans had an interesting smoky flavor to it.“

“I first ate here in 2012 with about 20 Colombian adoptees and have been back so many times despite not living in Queens. I thought it had a different name, but I recognize the decor. This place was amazing and we went around lunch time. Many of us have friends and family in Colombia and we loved this place so much. I remember going there with a friend and not really knowing for sure how to get there one time as we took the subway, but I was still able to locate it. During that weekend we also went to an overpriced place, attempting to be "upscale" and it was no where in the same category as this restaurant. They other place even ripped us on the bill because there were some many of us and they claimed we "must have bought alcoholic drinks". They ripped us off and a girl had to put it on her credit card to get the reservation and now the bill was about $300 to $375 more and we all knew what we ordered food wise and nobody drank I'm excess so we just all chipped in to cover this rip of. If that's not bad enough they had our event published in some magazine or newspaper. Don't waste your time with those places, go here and you will not be disappointed. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Ciao.“

“The food here is incredibly delicious and authentic. The owners are so sweet and friendly, they take pride in putting out quality food that tastes like a vacation in Cali. The empanadas are delicious as is the accompanying aji and the jugo de lull is fresh. I have so many dishes I still want to try, the menu is extensive. Native Colombians and anyone else would have a great time eating here.“

“I have been dining at this wonderful family location for over 20 years that in my opinion should be considered a landmark. The service is unmatched, the Colombian food served here for lack of a better word is "Perfect" every single time I come here the food reminds me so much of my childhood with my own Colombian family. I highly recommend this location nestled in the middle of Jackson heights. So if u want good food, great service and affordability then this place is the spot to come to.Kid-friendliness: Highly family friendly.“

“not a fan of leaving negative reviews, but for the love of jesus, why was my fried fried fish in need of flavor? it looked amazing -- sadly, it didn't taste amazing. the green sauce on the table, same thing: no salt! damnit. it is a dream to make it to JH just for the joy of colombian culinary goodness. once again, mario's (fried fish) failed to impress. and i love fish. ?“

“Super cute Colombian bakery/restaurant with kind service and delicious food. The decorations are so lovely, it feels like home and the large windows let in lots of sunshine so I love to come here for coffee, cheese bread and breakfast. “I was reminded of exactly why I love this café when picking up some pastries today:• The coffee is delicious and everything is made with attention and care.• The décor and music make me smile every time I walk in. (When is the last time you can say that about any chain eatery?)• The women who own and operate the café are super friendly, always greet you with a smile and are clearly very competent at running a business. (Did I mention everything is spotless?)I hope you support this family business – I know I will.“
