A classic no frills diner, they had seating for my group of 5 immediately for 11 AM on a Saturday and was a really good price! I got the Spanish egg white omelette (which I still don't know what exactly was in it other than mushrooms and onions). It came with toast and home fries and although was a little on the oily side, was good and cheap! Quick service and hits the diner food itch.
My first time here today won't be my last. It's one of those classic small and cozy NYC diners that hasn't been renovated in 40 years. But that's part of the charm, complete with its counter stool seats. I ordered the patty melt with turkey. Not really the healthiest substitution, because of the cheese and butter used to grill the rye bread, but it sure was tasty! Good burger. Somehow I got mixed up and thought I ordered fries, too. Nice place, for people like me who like a simple old fashioned burger joint. Table was a bit cramped for four, maybe they more expect couples. Lack of WiFi was a slight problem.
