“Wow this was the best middle Eastern food I've had at a restaurant. I wish I had a chance to meet the owner because I have so much respect for the multitude of levels her dishes had. I had one dish that could be tasted in 5 different ways with the variety of sauce combinations available on the plate alone. The prices to me were well below what they deserved to be. Whenever I go back to New York I will definitely be back here. It also hit close to home for me because my Sita used to make kibeh and it was a joy trying an elevated version of what she used to make from the pistachio baklava to the kibeh itself. So happy this place exists.“

“Outstanding! Super comfort-chic vibe and great ambiance all around. Management, servers, et all were A plus. Passover pre fixe and A la carte were just perfect. Matzah hall soup and gefilte fish app platter were superb! A definite go to again!“

“The beautiful, intimate atmosphere and absolutely top notch comfort food would be worth it alone - BUT the service was also awesome. After we were graciously seated without a reservation (try to book ahead because you really won't want to miss this place), the staff was so kind, friendly, and attentive. Absolutely everything we had was wonderful but the knafeh actually brought a tear to my eye. ❤️ Absolutely would recommend 5 out of 5 stars.“

“The service is great and so is the food. Had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict which was served on a potato pancake. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly. The coffee is also excellent.“

“I just found this gem in Harlem and let me say I am thoroughly impressed. First, the Yemeni tea is extremely good. No need to add anything. Secondly, the amount of food that you get for money is a great deal. I had #21 Aqdat Dajaj (Curry Chicken) w/Basmati Rice and a side of Naan bread (it was huge). You also receive soup and a mini salad before the actual entree. I left there stuffed and satisfied. The space is very quaint and somewhat intimate. It’s a must try!! And it’s Halal!!!Vegetarian options: There are about 13 vegetarian dishes to choose from.“

“Intimate restaurant with great vegetarian options. Halloumi, labne, crispy cauliflower and veggie curry were standouts. Also shoutout to the bartender for the gold rush cocktail (no longer on the menu, but just as good as we remembered).Dietary restrictions: Waiter was knowledgeable about ingredients and helped me navigate a nut and sesame allergy.“

“This is my favorite Middle Eastern food spot. I always get pick-up, but the vibe seems nice there. It's a little small inside though. The lamb pitza is to die for. You must try this place, and don't forget to order their freshly-made hummus; it's the best I've ever tasted, and several of my friends agreed.“

“Good hole-in-the-wall falafel place. Simple, no frills, good food. Macdougal street is really cool, a few other nice spots for cheap food......used to be look better before they added the outdoor tents, they really break up the vibe. Maybe if they disappear once the weather improves. Falafel was solid, but a little too messy and the hummus was a bit too runny.Overall: 3.5/5“

“Got to be the most flavourful chicken doner I ever had and I am saying this after exploring food through 20+ countries. I tried their doner at 11 in the morning and it was a burst of flavours in my mouth. Great hospitality as they helped me charge my phone as I finish my meal. This review is 5 months late as I visited them in September 2023 but I still remember their taste of doner.“

“We dined in a couple days ago, and it was excellent. The restaurant is nicely decorated with fresh flowers, chandeliers, and paintings. Moreover, the variety is great, and the food is delicious but a bit salty. The food is marked-up by $2-4 if you choose to dine-in and there is an additional fee to pay by card. However, they seem to make up for the cost by providing more sides and bread. Plus, the portions were large and still well priced for the amount.Overall, I would go back, but I would do take-out instead.“

“Our very first day in New York was dinner at Zizi Wine Bar. It is a restaurant with Middle Eastern dishes, with its own twist on the dishes. All dishes tasted delicious. The staff was very friendly, we even got desserts on the house: thanks for that!Definitely recommended if you are ever in New York.“

“My friend and I made a last-minute reservation for a May Friday night, and surprisingly we found a spot for 8:00 pm. The ambiance is low-lit and intimate, perfect for a date! I ordered the broccolini salad and babaganoush. It was fresh, flavorful, fantastic, and the perfect size. But my top recommendation from the night? The cardamom espresso martini!!!“
