“A NYC institution. We wanted to experience the Jewish diner atmosphere in the movies and we felt all of that here. We got the egg cream, matzo ball, the lil shonda and chopped liver with beef sandwiches. They all tasted great the lil shonda was a bit burned but we cut those parts out. Egg cream we tried for the 1st time and really liked it. Now the cons: it's a lil pricey (but it's Manhattan) and if you don't get there early in the morning you will have to wait in line for a spot on the counter. The table doesn't open until 9am. Overall would recommend if you can make it early.“

“The most authentically delicious arancinE and sfincione this side of the Atlantic besides nonna’s! A sincere thank you to the friendliest hosts and staff as our group of fifty high school students and chaperones invaded their beautiful bottega! This place is amazing! Grazie di cuore in particolare allo staff!“

“Great Tasty Authentic Italian Sandwiches!“

“Faicco's is the standard for the Italian deli in my opinion. The sandwiches are always perfect. The staff is remarkable- super friendly and military rate competency. There are tons of groceries to browse while your sandwich is being made and although this place is always busy they manage to get you in and out the door quickly. This is one of the more important stores in all of Manhattan. An institution.“

“Best sandwiches in NYC!!!“

“Deliriously delicious shop in the East Village! The sandwich rolls were the best I've tasted in NYC and perfectly toasted. My love and I enjoyed The Hog, a vermicelli and meat salad with the best fish sauce, and a lamb taco. I especially was impressed with the cleanliness and food handling. Go to "about us" to read the interesting story of the two friends/owners who we were so fortunate too meet at Wheelers in Sheepshead Bay.“

“Truly exceptional pastrami, probably at Katz's level (or maybe even better...)The meat is incredible, cooked perfectly and made very soft but at the same time there is the contrast in flavor of the spices and gherkins; obviously mustard is mandatory to add!“

“Four stars solely for the exceptional sandwich. The spot itself is a tiiiiiny hole in the wall. But it has charm! There is kitschy decor inside and funny memes to read as you wait to order. We had two issues. 1) it smelled incredibly strong of Sharpie the entire time we were there. There were a bunch of signs written in Sharpie taped to the counter. But the smell was strangely overwhelming as we ate and I found it off putting. 2) There are 3 seating options inside. A table for 2. A table for 4 with a bench on either side. And a counter looking outside with stools for 2-3. We took the table with the benches but oh my god were the benches rickety. They wobbled so much I was worried it would break as I sat! Long story short - I'd come back for the food without question. There were so many other things on the menu I'd like to try. I'd just skip dining in next time!“

“This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. They know what they're doing and what they're talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is stunning!! Some italian classics and some twists, amazing wines and for their prices it's 100% worth it. Love this place and I can't wait to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in NYC.“

“If we could give more than 5 stars we would! The man was super good at what he does and you can tell. Although he had limited options when we were there, he still made sure we were able to get something close to what we originally wanted. All the sandwiches were really good, flavorful, and had lots of meat. Two thumbs up and 5 stars!“
