“There is a certain kind of very important restaurant in New York, which looks like an auto-parts store on the inside, has staff that are very new to English, and serves food that’s hard to find anywhere else in America. This is one of those restaurants. Everything we tried on the menu was beautiful and aromatic, some spicy and some mild, always comfort food. Not fancy, completely affordable, and highly localized in one region of western China. Lamb abounds, and the rice noodles are homemade. Chowhounds will love it. Rough and satisfying, this is an uncut diamond.“

“Saying this place is good would absolutely be an understatement. This is the type of place you would find in the city tucked in somewhere in the high-rises, not in Queens.Walking in is literally like walking into the minds of the people who own this place. Everything is well thought out and there is a place for it somewhere. There's so much inside but never feels cluttered. Even the bathroom is adorable. Friend called it animal crossing style and I definitely can't I unsee it now.The food.... The food is phenomenal. I wish I could get inside the mind of the person who made the food because absolutely everything was on point. This is what I think Asian fusion is.Everything in all the dishes has flavors from all over Asia. Everything down to the ingredients was well thought out and blended in with each other. It was like tasting all of Asia in the few plates we hadI heard it was one guy in the kitchen, and that guy knows EXACTLY what he's doing. You can taste the passion and love he put into the dishes and it shows. Highlight for me would be the blt fried rice and chicken and waffles. Using Chinese style bubble mochi waffles was just brilliant thinking and pairs well.Highly, highly recommended. Also shout out to our server mimi, she was great and loved our reactions to their food that she gave us a milk tea pudding on the house for us. You're the best mimi! And that milk tea pudding was amazing. Earl grey crumble on top? Who even thinks of that??? Fantastic“

“4.5 and rounded up! $8 for 8 delicious steamed Tibetan beef momos - lotsa delicious filling, the dumplings were large, juicy, yummy. I got an order to go at around 7pm on a Friday evening and it took about 10-12 min for it to be ready. They're a small mom and pop shop with only about 10 seats in the front entry area (though it looked like they brought some momos to another area around a wall/down or upstairs(?) so I'm not totally sure if there was more seats). Waiting for my order to be ready, the staff were kind enough to allow me a seat in their small restaurant to sit while I waited. Momos seemed to be the menu item of choice as I saw people dining in and taking out mostly ordering some variety of these (steamed, fried, in soup...). My order came freshly steamed and very hot so take care when opening the container if you're eating it right away. They come with two sauces, both btwn mild and medium spicy (relative to the general level of American food that's labeled spicy--which is not very spicy). I enjoyed both, one was slightly sweeter than the other. If there was one thing I wasn't too fond of was the amount of oil dripping out when I bit into each momo. I think it was mostly beef tallow that dripped out when the meat was steamed, and meat didn't taste super oily or anything, in fact it probably made for tastier filling, I just couldn't help but notice it. That being said, I'd def come back and try some other momos and other dishes too!“

“Had a birthday celebration on a Saturday night. Would recommend calling ahead to let them know if you have a large gathering which we did. They were able to accommodate a party of 30ish people. Vibes were amazing. It was a lot of my friends’ first time and they enjoyed the space/music/drink and food selection. I personally recommend the pear soju highball and chicken wings. Wait staff is very friendly and attentive. There was also a section with beer pong table. Can’t wait to be back ?“

“I grew up in Elmhurst and getting skewers at this neighborhood staple as a snack was always a treat I looked forward to. Now, I’m happy that we can buy as many skewers as we dare (before we pass the threshold of waking up with a sore throat the next morning). This Chinese BBQ skewer cart is a no-frills, mom and pop food stand on the corner of Whitney Ave & Broadway by the LIRR tracks. Most of their skewers cost between $2-$3; they’re perfect for a late night eats adventure! The seasoning the sweet Chinese couple uses has just the right amount of cumin, heat, and spice. We sat at one of their 3 tables this past Monday evening and saw a steady stream of customers lining up for their grilled skewers. When all 3 tables were full, a 4th table and set of stools was set up as well. The cart is at their spot daily between 5:30pm-1:30am - you’ll find them if you see the smoke!? “I had the sichuan flavor rice noodle soup, and added duck blood slices and seafood ( shrimp and clams). They provide unlimited rice noodles. The rice noodles were precooked just right, it's soft yet unbroken. There were also small quantity of 11 assortment of side dishes that goes with the soup, which includes picked vegetables, black fungus, chinese smoked sausage. Bacon slices. It was an excellent and satisfying meal for cold spring day. I came at midnight for a late meal, the food is excellent and the place is opened 24/7.“
