“A short day and a half stay in Williamsburg/Brooklyn on the way to Berlin. Rolo’s was certainly my most anticipated spot on this tour after seeing their fantastic Eater video and it certainly didn’t disappoint.Their Double Cheeseburger with the $3 Bacon Addition was the most flavorful and wonderfully textured burger I’ve had in years. The pickled pepper made for an interesting off-beat accompaniment. The polenta bread was simple but delicious. A layer of polenta with olive oil and sea salt, could eat that all day.I also ordered a Strawberry Passionfruit Punsch, which was served in a small goblet. Nice blend of rum, strawberry cordial, passion fruit and lime tiki bitters. There are quite a few more dishes I’d like to try at Rolo’s. Unfortunately for me, Rolo’s in in a different time zone. But I’m glad I got a chance to try it.“

The dessert's cheesecake has sesame flavor?Check this place out‼️“

“Enjoyed date night at the rooftop bar to catch sunset. Amazingly friendly and attentive service. Decent decor with fantastic views. Turns out it's not really a restaurant, they only have small bites of mixed quality -- think spinach artichoke dip, 10" pizzas and shellfish. Cute but not dinner. Super loud/terrible live music ruined the sunset patio, we moved to the other side for ocean views which were more serene. If they had a more full menu and toned down the live music it'd be a gem.“

We were welcomed by very polite and courteous gentleman and even though we didn’t have a reservation (we didn’t know we needed one) they were able to accommodate us with no hesitation. Giovanni offered us nice drinks and tea along with a delicious shisha. She was very helpful when we had questions about flavors and was very attentive during the time we were there. Will definitely come back. Only thing to note is that if you enjoy a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere, try to go on the earlier part of the afternoon/night as it gets louder and feels more like a nightclub later in the evening.Vegetarian options: Dry nuts and French fries“

“I had an amazing time at this speakeasy! My group of 4 had a reservation.I think the expectations are pretty clear- if you expect to walk-in to an exclusive speakeasy, go early; if you're wish to go later, get a resy. People will be turned away if they're at capacity, especially if a big reservation is booked. It doesn't matter if your friends are inside- they have to follow code. The vibe is REALLY fun- it feels like a swanky house party with awesome music and drinks. I think the service was great for how busy it was. I only drank is beers, but my friends had fun cocktails and shots. Everyone is so friendly. They also put a gratuity charge on larger party's bills, so that's helpful.I love speakeasies. Cannot recommend RRLIC enough!“

“This is such a great local bar! It has everything. During week nights, the bar has a casual atmosphere where you can bring a date or grab a drink with friends. It's dimly lit and the string lights hanging up above offer an intimate and cozy glow. During certain time of year the host events, such as a weekly movie nights throughout the winter. On weekends, typically after 10 you'll find a dj and a packed bar area. If loud bars with lots of people is your late night going out jam, the ditty is a great one to add to your list. If you're like me and that's not your scene, opt for a week night or before 10/11 on a weekend. My one area of improvement for the ditty is their cocktail list. They don't offer a huge variety and it feels like the kind of bar that should. If they added 3-5 more craft cocktails to their menu I think it would be a huge improvement.“

“wanted to check out a speakeasy while in town and came across the newsroom on tiktok, due to their “stuff your own empanada experience”. nestled in a quiet area of queens, with easy access.lovely speakeasy ambiance with an aerialist performer & live vocal performances. the music they play is all jazzy covers of hit songs, so it fits the vibe so well.the empanadas and the filet mignon taquitos, were so tasteful and delicious.they give you a very decent amount of time to be there, in order to make room for more people. our server Alberto couldn’t have been kinder and more accommodating to our preferences & needs while there.would recommend this to anyone looking for a laid back speakeasy outside of the hustle and bustle of the major city or times square.“

“To understand what it means to be warm and inviting the context of my visit must be established.I walked by this cocktail bar. I was by myself and hesitant to enter a trendy/cool neighborhood spot at 9pm on a Saturday night. The hostess welcomed me in and showed me two options. "you can sit here, a communal table" or I have a table in the back. I didn't want to bother the establishment and take up a whole table. I am a low paying customer. I'm not going to order more than 1 mocktail. But the hostess insisted I be comfortable.I take the table. Order my drink. Pull out my book and read peacefully amongst the merriment. The tables nearby - dates, celebrations, catching up with friends. Pop music was playing. I kept turning my pages enjoying it too.I was checked up on by the server and the manager. Neither of who ever pressured me to leave and made sure I was comfortable. The hostess from before walked and again I told her, feel free to sit people at my table if it's crowded up front. "don't you worry. enjoy yourself." she said.I finished my drink, the chapter I was on, and accidentally blew out my candle that was providing me light. It was a sign to pack up and leave. I thanked my serve, paid and headed out.A women, from a table near mine, stopped me before I left. She commended me for doing what I did - enjoy a night to myself. I told her it helped to have a book. I proceed to the exit and saw the manager. I thanked him for not pressuring me. And finally the hostess. She told me I made her night, again for doing what I did - enjoy a night to myself. We shared a hug. And I left having had a great and welcoming night.“

“This is my first time at this restaurant. My friend found it for us and he specifically picked it because he heard it had good cocktails. we ordered four different cocktails. All of them were pretty good. I wish I remembered the names of them but the blue cup with the pink outside was one that was my favorite. By far the ceviche was bomb. The guac a little bit of flavor for me, but mixing it with the ceviche made that even pretty darn good. Really enjoyed the fish taco over the other two pictured. we got the Maduros which were fresh and yuka fries. we also got the octopus which I thoroughly enjoyed. The chipotle, shrimp in the pineapple was honestly not my favorite. My friend really enjoyed it as he enjoyed sweet dishes, but it was too sweet for me. Overall, I definitely recommend a place. Definitely get the ceviche and the octopus! And I'm not even a big seafood person to say that. The service was great, and while we were there, the waiter even gave us a shot on the house. So check it out.“

“It was a cold Saturday and I was yearning for a carb filled meal topped off with drinks. This was my second time coming to Queens Bully, the first time was literally 5 years ago and I don't recall my experience here much. I drove on over from Brooklyn and sat at the bar. Inside is a very rustic setting with a open space concept. The bartender was extremely professional, attentive and very nice. He overall knew what he was doing when I asked for a cosmopolitan and it was by far one of the best I've had in quite some time. I then ordered a painkiller which he recommended and boy was it good. I had to drive so it was a 2 drink minimum for me but I surely felt tipsy. I ordered the shrimp Mac it was so cheesy, creamy and packed with flavor. The shrimps were grilled just right and had a jerk taste to it, it did not let me down one bit. The atmosphere within Queens Bully is pretty uplifting with modern music, the staff is very friendly, the food is delicious and so are the drinks. I'll be back for sure“
