Neighborhood gem. I was craving brick over thin pizza and I found this little gem. It was EXACTLY what I dreamed of. Got the rustico salad, rigatoni, and the margherita pizza. Star of the meal was the margherita. Simple and tasty. This proves that a place doesn't need to be super complicated to be good. I will be back to try their home made raviolis too. looks like they have like 3-4 fillings.

Rustico Taverna is a gift to the Fresh Pond Road neighborhood. I have ordered takeaway meals here lots of times and the customer service and food is always great- fresh, tasty and very affordable. 5/5 stars

We live in the neighbourhood and have come here probably 10 times. Never been disappointed. We have had such wonderful pizzas, salads and pastas (actually, some pastas have been so outstanding that we just ate and enjoyed in silence) here. Prices are totally fair. But the best part is the atmosphere and service. The owner is usually there, and is so warm and genuine. He treats every person who comes in kind of like an old friend, and it is so nice to feel so welcome and at home. Just love this resto.

Ribeye steak for dinner, terrific! I'd readily return for this steak alone; nice light char flavor, perfectly seasoned - and to accompany it the sangiovese wine - chefs kiss! Veal Sorrentino was very good, lightly (not heavily) breaded, medium cut (not too thin), and delicious sauce; good sized portion.Lovely tender calamari + zucchini appetizer as well.

Rustico Taverna is a tiny eatery on Fresh Pond Road in Ridgewood. If I didn't hear about them on yelp* I would have never gone in. I had a time constraint so I went with the special pasta of the day. It was squid ink spaghetti with Shrimp, Scallops, and Clams. The dish was tasty but the pasta a bit overcooked. The complimentary bread, and the complimentary olives were very good. I will try them again and sample some more dishes.

We were in there valentines day with my wife. Foods was amazing delicius and fastly came. Margharitha pizza was best of the Queens. Definetely We will come back again.
The seafood risotto was pretty good but the on of the mussels shells broke and it was annoying to spit it out/ could be a physical hazard. The pizza though was delicious but smaller than your average pizza. The servers were very attentive and checked up on us. I like how the lighting looks at night. Cheesecake was good but it's hard to go wrong with that. Wish there was more whipped cream though!

They apologized and offered to make a new one but the portion they gave was half of my first order even if I didn’t eat any portion of the lasagna with the hair in it. It’s a frustrating experience because I’m a regular customer and I’ve always loved coming to this restaurant.

They apologized and offered to make a new one but the portion they gave was half of my first order even if I didn't eat any portion of the lasagna with the hair in it. It's a frustrating experience because I'm a regular customer and I've always loved coming to this restaurant.
I've eaten here quite a few times and I've never had a bad dish. The whole fish was exceptional.

Please stay away from this place the experience was awful. I ordered a delivery through the slice app. I never received a phone call nobody rang the bell to tell me the pizzas were delivered. I go out to take the trash and I see one box lying on the floor cold and hard as a rock. I check my camera the delivery guy took the other box and ate it and left. I called the pizzeria told them what happened zero cares given and an attitude he just wanted to hang up on me. Slice was called and they said all they can do is give me 25% off for two pizzas I didn’t eat. If he did that with one who knows what he did with the other one.

Very overpriced considering the chicken was black in places, slimy and seemingly had gone bad. But you charged me six bucks to add it on top of what could have been a frozen pasta dish. How disappointing, this place used to be good. Avoid if possible!
