“A short day and a half stay in Williamsburg/Brooklyn on the way to Berlin. Rolo’s was certainly my most anticipated spot on this tour after seeing their fantastic Eater video and it certainly didn’t disappoint.Their Double Cheeseburger with the $3 Bacon Addition was the most flavorful and wonderfully textured burger I’ve had in years. The pickled pepper made for an interesting off-beat accompaniment. The polenta bread was simple but delicious. A layer of polenta with olive oil and sea salt, could eat that all day.I also ordered a Strawberry Passionfruit Punsch, which was served in a small goblet. Nice blend of rum, strawberry cordial, passion fruit and lime tiki bitters.There are quite a few more dishes I’d like to try at Rolo’s. Unfortunately for me, Rolo’s in in a different time zone. But I’m glad I got a chance to try it.“

“Excellent food, a bit on the pricy side compared to other Greek places around but great food. The moussaka was great, served in a small dish, definitely worth sharing. We ordered daily speciality and were not disappointed. Our sever was lovely, she had a very authentically welcoming vibe, could be the Greek hospitality; but I loved how genuine she presented herself, the staff was lovely as well.“

“I will rate this place somewhere between three and four. The restaurant is beautiful, and the staff were courteous and friendly, well deserved 5-star rating. The food is a hit and miss. You need to know what to order in this place, otherwise, the dining experience could be unpleasant to your palates. The ribs in the cage looked fun but not impressive while eating them. The bathrooms were super unpleasant. It is a publicly shared bathroom and is poorly managed.Vegetarian options: There were not a lot of vegetable dishes here, but decent selections. “Came here on a Saturday night with reservations. Very lively. Waiters were attentive. The shrimp saganaki was flavorful. The octopus was exceptional. The lamb chop was delicious. Wasn’t a big fan of the baked clams. They were too oily and not fresh. I don’t think the waiter seemed to care when my friend told him. However, we had a good time as the drinks were good.“

I've never in my life tasted such amazing food like this and to be honest I'm very critical and hard to please when it comes to food so like always I was waiting to either be let down or not that impressed but I was shocked I live in the City and I order from these guys 2 sometimes 3 times a week. “Come for the goats brains and stay for the biryani! For real though, don't shy away from the goat brains. First off, if no one told you what it was, you might just think it was tofu just based on the texture and presentation. I love sweetbreads, so this was not a stretch for me and my adventurous and trusting friend liked them too! There is a reason it is a hit on the menu. We LOVED our food. The only thing I would pass on was the dahi batata puri. The filling was a bunch of saucy stuff and I wanted more texture and something to sink my teeth into, know what I mean? The Lucknow dum biryani was the shiz and I am mighty miffed I left it in my friend's car and she lives too far away to reclaim it. It was also served in a really unique way covered with a layer of bread, much like a pot pie. Portions were great. When I come to the city, I usually stick to Manhattan out of convenience. This time I went out of my way to go to Queens for this place. It was worth it! I really enjoyed my midget sized margarita. It was tasty and potent enough to put some hair on tour chest. “We recently had our daughters baptism dinner at Trattoria L'incontra and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our event was enjoyable and accommodative. Alfredo and his team were extremely friendly and attentive to every detail. During our meal, Chef Rocco came out to ask how everything was and even brought us another pasta course to try on the house. The food was truly exceptional. Each dish was presented beautifully and tasted even better. Overall, I highly recommend Trattoria L'incontra to anyone looking for a great dining experience. The combination of excellent service and delicious food makes it a standout restaurant in the area. I can't wait to go back!“

The staff were pleasant and timely. Willing to accommodate questions on the menu and make great suggestions. The location is an offbeat spot but stays true to their cuisine, very earthy and good vibe for two or a group of 5. One of my foodie friends and I decided to meet up. We always try to go to a new place that we both haven't tried - and we ended up here at Cheli. Cheli is a Chinese Restaurant (specifically Shanghainese) located in East Village (Manhattan) and Flushing (Queens). My friend, his girlfriend, and I went to the Flushing Location. According to their website, Che Li presents a distinctive dining experience, weaving together the rich tapestry of Song Dynasty banquet culture with the authentic and sophisticated flavors of Shanghai cuisine. Their culinary philosophy is deeply rooted in the heritage of Jiangnan--a region known for its delicate beauty, culinary finesse, and the origin of Shanghai's gastronomic excellence. Characterized by its subtle yet profound flavors, meticulous preparation, and elegant presentation, their cuisine pays tribute to this heritage while celebrating the refined communal spirit of Song Dynasty feasts. We were all super excited to try! Between the 3 of us, we tried the following: - Wine Soaked Chicken - Crab Meat and Pork Soup Dumplings - Sweet and Sour Crispy Eel - Nine Spiced Rabbit - Hot Stone Braised Rice (mushroom) - Sauteed Water Spinach - Black Sesame Sticky Rice Balls - Rose Lemonade Super fun and feels like an authentic experience. My friend had to order in Chinese - and I obviously pointed to the menu to order since my Chinese skills are limited. Never been to China but I would imagine the decor is pretty representative. “We came to eat at this restaurant 4 times during our week-long stay. To begin with, the team is welcoming, available and very helpful. The menu is diverse (including salads, breakfasts, burgers, desserts, etc.). And everything we ate was really very, very good, the quantities very generous and the prices more than reasonable for New York (30 dollars for two people). For us it is the best restaurant in terms of quality/price where we have eaten in New York. The best: it is open 24 hours a day and is located at the bottom of “Court Square” station (line 7)“

“I have had this bar on my radar since I saw multiple posts about this place on Instagram in the past. I came in for brunch, and I think this place is super cute, and I got such a great view of the water while dining outdoors. Owen was my server, and he was very friendly. The service getting my food and drink was a tad slow, which was understandable as I saw the restaurant was having a private event inside. They have a decent sized menu with reasonable prices, and the Meatlover Omelet I ordered tasted really good. They also make a great bloody mary as well. I was surprised that I didn't have an issue finding street parking in this area as they don't have a parking lot. Overall, I was happy with my first experience, and I will definitely stop in again the next time I drive to the Rockaways.“

“Located right in the center of busy Austin Street, this gem was a great choice for delicious and filling ramen at very affordable prices. Before you enter, you'll find yourself staring at the wooden, cozy storefront that screams "comfort food". To start off, we had the kara-age and takoyaki which were good with a drizzle of lemon. However, the main star was my kara miso ramen with pork, which had a hearty miso soup base with a dab of spice sauce. There are also non-pork options such as the seafood yaki bowl, which my friend had. Despite the full house on a friday evening, the service was great and very attentive. “Came here on a Saturday for dinner without a reservation and the place is pretty spacious so we got seated right away. It's located kind of away from flushing proper so the restaurant itself is pretty big unlike some of the more cramped spots. The food was pretty good honestly, you can tell it's very genuine Szechuan style cooking. We had the spicy beef and string beans they were both so flavorful. I have never been so excited about any vegetable dishes but the beans were one of the favorite Chinese vegetable dishes ever. We also got spicy fish, the fish was fried first then put into spicy soup. The cooking style is amazing and everything was delicious. The spice they use are fresh and not too much for my taste. Our service though was a bit slow and I think at some point they forgot to make our fish and we had to ask multiple times before it finally came out. Would have been great if service was better but overall flavors are amazing and would definitely come again!“

“Don’t let the outside fool you, always walked past but the inside has a whole different atmosphere. It’s rather lovely and reminds me of France/Italy, fresh flowers and staff is amazing! “Came here for my girlfriends 30th, and we had a wonderful experience. The staff was super friendly and very patient, which was very appreciated because we were a party of 12.The food was delicious and very flavorful with a good amount of spice. When you order, you are able to choose the spice level from Mild all the way up to Thai Spicy (which I don't even dare to try, haha). Both the Thai Iced Tea and Lychee Thai Iced Tea were very good but a little too overly sweet for us, so we had to dilute it with a little bit of water.Wonderful little restaurant with great food and a wonderful atmosphere. “This is such a great local bar! It has everything. During week nights, the bar has a casual atmosphere where you can bring a date or grab a drink with friends. It's dimly lit and the string lights hanging up above offer an intimate and cozy glow. During certain time of year the host events, such as a weekly movie nights throughout the winter. On weekends, typically after 10 you'll find a dj and a packed bar area. If loud bars with lots of people is your late night going out jam, the ditty is a great one to add to your list. If you're like me and that's not your scene, opt for a week night or before 10/11 on a weekend. My one area of improvement for the ditty is their cocktail list. They don't offer a huge variety and it feels like the kind of bar that should. If they added 3-5 more craft cocktails to their menu I think it would be a huge improvement.“
