“I loved my experience at Genki Omakase! I went for my friends birthday and they let us make a reservation for 11 people which was extremely accommodating for such a large group at an Omakase experience. The sushi was so fresh and delicious. They end off the 13 piece course with a sweet/savory banana fish course that was my favorite. I also loved the Uni piece. They let you bring your own wine for no corking fee and will distribute it between your group and refill it for you. The service was great. I also loved that there was a towelette left on your plate that you can use to freshen up with before you begin. Great deal for the price.“

“This is one of Mikado Sushi newest location and of course, my bestie and I had to come and check them out. We went there for an early lunch and found their set for 2 deal was ideal for us. It came with a Cucumber Salad, Madai (Ponzu jelly), Tuna Ball (Avocado, mayo, tuna), Mini Super Bowl For 2, 8 pcs of Sushi with Two Hand Roll and a dessert. Everything was spot on delicious, their sushi were so fresh and filling. Their service was also quick and the server was friendly. Even though there were plenty of room, the place was quickly packed with customers. They also have a Happy Hour promo, great for people working close by to stop for a drink & something to eat.“

“Fabulous date night at Nami Nori. We both order the signature set which was phenomenal. Every piece was creative, so fresh and better than the last. We shared the tempura misto, wasabi cucumber tataki and the spicy tuna dip. The wasabi cucumber was a great choice and the green that we needed for the meal. Could have passed on the tempura. I loved the spicy tuna dip but my boyfriend said he rather grab more handrolls next time. We also got the mochurros and tbh, it's a pass for us. The WBurg location has a liquor license and the fun cocktails are not to be missed! Im not a fan of lychee martinis and my boyfriend ordered one off the menu and it was probably the best ones I've had. Attentive staff and such a beautiful venue. It's always so hard to get reservations but we saw plenty of open seats on a Saturday around 730/peak dinner, so definitely try walking in.“

“Found an amazing hidden gem in Astoria, Queens! It’s a secret speakeasy tucked away at the back of a poke shop. The staff and owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We tried their 14-course omakase with sake for $98 per person, and also added the optional uni ikura don for $25. The quality of the fish blew us away - so fresh, flavorful, and delicious! Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the neighborhood.“

My boyfriend and I both did the premium omakase, which was $68pp (hospitality included). Right off the bat, you cannot beat that price for omakase downtown. What's even better is how good it was. They opened on time and there were no issues getting seated, with no reservation, but we were seated in the backyard heated room. Our waiter and the staff there were polite and friendly. Everything we ordered was flavorful and delicious. Only complaint was I wish portion size was bigger. Haha. Beef tongue slices (5pcs) $14 - marinated grilled tender slices Yuzu Miso Salmon $15 - Includes fresh salmon sashimi topped with yuzu miso and sesame ponzu sauce, green onion and onion slices Hakata Motsu Nabe $27/person - Includes beef intestines, cabbage, leek, tofu, burdock, and sesame, chili sauce on the side. “Love this place! The sushi is so fresh and tasty. And reasonably priced. Free green tea pudding with Yelp check in! The pudding is topped with a spoonful of sweetened red beans. A delicious dessert! My favorite is salmon and here, it's melt in your mouth fresh and yummy. My favorite dish here is the Salmon Lover. It's salmon four ways plus a side of kani salad with some roe on top. Thick generous portions of sashimi, also has sushi, salmon avocado roll, and a grilled salmon collar (when available, otherwise you get 2 pieces of salmon belly). This place is so good, in one week, I went 3 times and still not tired of it. Not crazy about the chicken kaarage. The pieces are too small so when fried, it becomes dry and loses its juicy tenderness. Tried some skewers. A tad on the dry side. I'd stick with the sushi. Though the skewers were very popular with the kids at the table. Service. Attentive. Tea constantly being refilled. Decor. It's a small place. Lots of wood decor. The space is narrow with seating to the left and right. In front, a few private mini booth rooms covered with a curtain, line the side of the restaurant. These can seat up to 4 people. There is also a small party room downstairs. In the back, you can sit in front of the sushi chefs if you like, at a high counter.“

“i absolutely love this place. first time i came for dinner at around 7 and we got chef’s skewers, gyu don, and kimchi cream udon. my boyfriend and i loved our entrees but didnt really like the skewers that much. i think they were a little on the pricey side for 4 skewers and 1 being grilled peppers. we also had to wait a little bit around 10-20 mins? the second time, we came for lunch at around 12 and did not have to wait. we got gyudon and the nikomi hamburg tei. they were both good and came with a side of tofu and miso soup. the hamburger tei was a lOt though and i struggled to finish it :(( for lunch price tho it was worth it. will definitely be coming back !!“

“I went to Kinzan omakase last night and it was so good! Each piece was very creative, like yellowtail pesto, which I had never had before but worked so well. My favorites were the Hokkaido uni, scallop, and toro with caviar! The fish were all very fresh. The server gave me free sake which I appreciated very much. The chefs were very kind and personable. This is my new favorite omakase spot in the city, I will be back!“

“BBF was recommended by my Japanese colleague and they said it’s really authentic with outstanding flavor. We were craving for Japanese Bento so we decided to give it a try.There were also pastries available but we are not into Japanese pastries. We had their Katsu Sando and Burger Steak to share. The Katsu was fried perfectly but the toast was a little dry. I preferred the juicy and flavorful burger steak.“
