“Delicious food, friendly and warm service, and a genuinely wonderful dining experience.“
“Authentic Irish people. Great time! Sick of the yuppie bars. These people make sure you get home safe. I’m sad if this bar closes because it’s a neighborhood with good people. Always look out for their customers. If you were ever to go to a bar these people care about. They make sure you get home safe. Unlike these new bars. If I drank too much they would walk me home or calll a cab and make sure I was safe. You don’t get that today old school. They care about their customers even if you were the first time in there. They’ll look out for you. So you go to bar to drink alcohol The bartenders are sweethearts. They take care of their customers.“

“Just discovered this nice bar by Sunnyside and it’s an awesome one! I went with a friend for drinks on Saturday night and the place does not get too crowded, the drinks are delicious (will have to try their food) and the atmosphere is great overall.“

“Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“

“Another fantastic dinner at PS Kitchen. Highly recommend the Thai Chili wings, crabby cakes and Brussel Sprouts. Our table also had the Linguini Alfredo, Cesar wrap and the Thai Sweet Chili Sandwich. We didn’t like the pretzel bun but otherwise everything was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed. Staff are friendly and we did not feel rushed. Will definitely be coming again and highly recommend.“

“Delicious & great service! We loved Esca but this was also v delicious & v healthy. Room is pretty. The bar is not as cozy & stylish as it was in its former iteration but overall we will be back & wish them great success! Great space & option including while in the theatre district, Sony Hall, etc;))“

“I wouldn’t call Katana a dive bar, but on a Tuesday night it felt like a great neighborhood bar. Relaxed atmosphere. Was surprised at how small it was but that added to the chill vibe. I bet on a Thirsty Thursday and the weekend that all changes, but the bartenders and the craft cocktails will be just as great.“

“Please please please stop coming here all of you folks who don’t care about the care that this place is bringing to you.Make a reservation.Respect the process. This place is gorgeous and is the reason we drink (or the reason drinking is joyful and not just a slow decline).Table side sazerac or martini. Enjoy. Live.TIP THE STAFF! They’re essentially making you a Disneyland level illusion. Not the space which is *chefs kiss* but the movement of the staff. Slow. Intentional. Well educated in past and current manners.Truly this place is special and will stay special if talk show up like you’re in booze church.Put on an outfit goddamnit. Flirt w the bartenders. But don’t interrupt!Be sexy have fun try more absinthe.“

“Went last night for a little friend date. We were sat promptly at a nice two top by the front window. Our server, who was the most italian server I’ve had since Italy, described the specials perfectly. Everything sounded delicious and I wanted to hear him talk more. All the food was top notch. The mushroom pasta special was a bit pricey ($29 a little sticker shock) and could have used more of that mushroom flavor, however, the pasta ribbons were of a most excellent quality with a nice chew, so I was still satisfied. The best item of the night was the roasted cauliflower special with the piccata sauce. My only qualm was the server, though magnificent, described the dish as being accompanied by focaccia bread. Upon receiving the check I discovered the focaccia was a separate charge. Felt a slight sense of hoodwinked but no matter - it was delicious bread.Service is nice as relaxed in that very European way. It was nice to be given time and not felt rushed out. In fact, I requested the check, which often time a restaurant doesn’t afford you the pleasure of doing. Will be back for certain.“

“We sat outside( private party inside) It's clean, well lit. We never felt abandoned. Our server was very attentive. Made some suggestions and was able to accommodate an Allium allergy We started our brunch with several appetizers. Rice balls, burrata cremosa, prosciutto, cherry tomatoes, grill ciabatta, all so flavorful, plentiful The romaine Caesar with fried egg , and the breakfast spaghetti ( a first for us and so delicious) was a huge hit. The portions were just right. A man would come by and ask how we were, if we needed anything. Now we see why this Cafe is so popular. The service and food is flawless!“

“We found this gem of a bar/restaurant and visited five or six times. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff very professional and friendly. Eddie provided excellent service and Gabriel the owner is so welcoming and friendly and has time for everyone. The food was out of this world - particular mentions are Ravioli Zucca and the Brasato di Costolette di Manzo (short ribs to die for). The bomboloni (Italian doughnuts with chocolate and caramel sauces) is one of the best desserts I’ve had! We would definitely recommend this place. It’s in an excellent location opposite Central Park.“

“I used to eat here when it was under a different name. After the recent renovation, I decided to try it again. The food, mostly mid-southern Chinese food from Zhejiang/Shanghai, was authentic and tasted good. One exception was the hot and sour soup, too salty. Service was good. New setting/decor is modern and trendy.“

“Wend to Avoca without a reservation on a Saturday morning, we were grateful to get a table without having to wait too long; but then the table turned out to be in the aisle between the entrance to the kitchen and the bathroom on a very tight and on the way spot. I feel like that table should not exist at all since it was just a risk of getting hit by trays and being uncomfortably on the way. For food, I had a coffee, a single mimosa (bottomless is also an option but was not feeling it at the time) and the avocado toast which was delicious and very filling. The service was polite but a bit slow , which is expected given how packet the restaurant was on a Saturday morning. Would recommend and be back , with a reservation next time!“

“All around fantastic time at Saint Julivert ✨The space is narrow, but nicely designed; I recommend sitting at the bar. Our bartender/server Omie (not sure if this is correctly spelled) was super nice and gave some great recommendations, which really elevated our experience.Every dish we had was delicious, but our stand outs were the whipped mackerel, the shiso tacos, the jerked hamachi collar, and the mezcal flan.“

“We came in last Thursday night for some pre dinner drinks while on vacation and we're so glad we found this spot! Our trip was drink/food focused and the bartenders here did not disappoint. My husband and our friend had a "Ramos Gin Fizz", (which was literally like the best cocktail I have ever tasted), I would have had one myself but I was already three deep into the Cucumber Mint Collins (which was also delicious)! There was a great live band playing and it was just what we needed after not being in the city for so long. Can't wait to come back!! Did I mention the bartenders were awesome? (It needed to be said twice).“

“The atmosphere was fine and the plants on the wall were lovely. The monk fish was ok. The burger was good but substitutions are not allowed (I asked about subbing some greens instead of fries). You also can’t choose how your beef is cooked and I was fine with medium. It came well done, unfortunately. I like salty foods and this burger was pretty salty but I didn’t mind. The bacon was the best part of the entree.I’m adding an additional star in my review because they cook their fries in duck tallow which is much healthier and tastier than seed oils. Fries cooked in seed oils (most restaurants) contain trans fats because the frier cools and heats up over and over which causes the oil molecules to degrade down to trans fats. I’m glad more restaurants are starting to switch from canola and soy bean oil to animal fats. Ok, coming off my soap box.“

“Amazing place! My brother and I are both vegan and have a ton of allergies and the wait staff was super accommodating. The food is spectacular too - I took 2 animal eaters and a vegetarian to the restaurant and they couldn't tell the difference between the kebabs and meat. We had the "chicken", "beef", and kofta kebabs, along with the "chicken" gyros, "lamb" cigars, and hummus. I was a big fan of all the kebabs, and thought the "chicken" gyros were amazing too. The desserts were also great - highly recommend.Vegetarian options: It's an entirely vegan restaurant.“

“Otis, My Man! - Animal House I planned out both dinner and show Friday night for my wife. I have the first reservation at 6pm but in order to make this all work she has to leave work a little early. She says it shouldn't be a problem but all I'm thinking about is their homemade breads. If there's an issue, I may leave late. Woman, set yourself on fire and run out of there! Once inside, this is a beautiful space in Bushwick. Bushwick always makes me laugh. If my grandparents were alive they'd say the rosary for me. Bushwick in the late 70s? As I see the subway across the street, I can see why in 2024 this is a popular neighborhood. Walking inside, there is a long beautiful looking bar that's stocked with some high end booze. I was about to order one of the great Scotch offerings but I see a smoky & spicy Otis signature drink called "Revenge Of The Line" made with Mezcal, Charred Pineapple and Habañero. Ah-mazing. The Otis Menu isn't broken down into starters and mains. The Otis team lists everything, figure it out and order. My wife & I made this work. Starting with the Burrata and the Roasted Beets. The Burrata was on top of this Sweet Potato and Tomato Jam. Once the burrata was cut open, delish! We slathered the cheese on the charred focaccia, soo good! The roasted beets with Ruby Frost Apples were another solid dish. What made it next level was the Crispy Quinoa and Candied Pecan bits. Highly recommended. Next, Lamb Meatballs and Braised Pork Pasta. We're sitting at the chef's table and watching these guys cook is crazy. They have 5 pans going at once and they are hustling to get food out. I see them take the Lamb Meatballs and put them on the grill to get that charred goodness. When they're finished the Lamb Meatballs are plated over a Tomatillo Tahini. This is a phenomenal dish, and the definition of phenomenal: very remarkable, extraordinary. Finally, the Braised Pork Pasta. This was something I never had before, it says miso but the underlying flavor tasted more like cinnamon. House made Gigli Pasta with Pork Shoulder which was cooked low and slow, fork tender soft and loaded with flavor. This dish was topped with House-Made Ricotta. Best described as a little heat with sliky tomato sauce, the Braised Pork Pasta is the best dish on the Otis menu. The desserts looked amazing but we were so packed I had to say No Mas. I am so glad we dined at Otis, I highly recommend Otis for Cocktails and Dinner.“

“Ever since you reopened, the food has been exquisite. The earlier years when it was GB&G, the different chefs never really found themselves. Since the reopening and the re-emergence of the original chef, I think, the food is back to its glory as it was 15 years ago. Regardless, service has always remained superlative. I do miss the complimentary exquisite breads, intermezzo and after dinner edibles though.“

“Really tasty spot. My only gripe and the reason why I docked one star, is that the portion of steak in the lomo was very lacking. For a hundred dollar dish to share, I'd expect more protein. It was 80% fries. The steak that was in there, was indeed nicely prepared and flavorful. Just wanted more.“

“This place rocked. We wanted something close to the High Line and this place popped up. We made a reservation via Open Table. After getting delayed on the subway, we were a little late. The hostess was understandable and we were seated at a table right away. It was busy and lively. We ate the sourdough bread, citrus salad and deviled eggs. It was all good. I am certain anything is good on their menu. Thanks Cookshop!“
