“I went to this location for the first time this evening and I’ll definitely be back. The welcoming atmosphere when I walked in was the first thing I noticed. Following that Jordan at the register was very kind taking my order, and then I met Daniel the manager. Daniel should teach a class in leadership, he was leading his team providing instruction and expressing this gratitude to them for being there and their work.It was so refreshing to not only see and receive first hand wonderful customer service but to also see such wonderful leadership to others.“

“Have worked at UC for a long time and ashamed to say that I just tried Cincy Gourmet Deli this week (I remember the old one and it was dirty and gross). I'm assuming it has new owners, but regardless, I'm impressed. It was clean and had food and beverages nicely displayed. I tried the chopped cheese sandwich and it was delicious. Will definitely go back again and will try other sandwiches. I read other reviews about having to wait a long time to receive their order, but I went at 3pm so my sandwich was made in about 5 minutes. I would highly recommend, especially for UC students (and faculty & staff).“

“This was our second time at Izzy's. Portions are really good and the menu has something for everyone. They bring you a small bowl of pickles to start, which thrilled my husband. We then shared a corned beef Reuben and the pastrami Reuben. Both came with a huge potato pancake. Easily as big as your hand. Everything is very good. Meat is tasty and the dressing has a good flavor. Staff is great. They will always give suggestions when asked. Tomato basil soup was ok. Almost tasted like a marinara sauce. Definitely fun to try a lot of different options.“

“This was my first time visiting this location of Tom & Chee and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. In fact, I like this location better than the downtown location... When I first walked in, I noticed how clean the store was. Then as I got closer to the counter I was greeted by both the young lady at the register and Erica the manger on duty. Moreover, Erica and her team were pleasant and accommodating throughout my dine-in experience, bringing my food to the table, checking to make sure everything was okay, immediately cleaning the tables of other guests after they finished dining, and wishing me a good day when I left... If only all establishments could offer such positive experience!!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten- free options are available“

“This is a small space in a mini strip mall. You seat yourself or go to the counter for carry out. There is seating around the counter. Part of the area where they prepare food is behind the counter. Servers have always been very friendly and work hard to make sure your order is going to be what you want. They still bring a container of pickles to your table when they come to get your drink order. There is usually only one server who also clears tables but it is a small place so it seems to work. Every sandwich comes with a potato pancake which is their signature. Everything we have tried has been great“

“I ordered the Angus beef hamburger & it was one of the best I’ve had in Cincinnati & definitely the best that I have had at that price point. I liked the way they had the pickles & Dijon mustard on the side, I used both & the pickles seemed homemade. My side was coleslaw & that was delish as well. I ordered online for pickup & even though they had a lot of cars in the drive through, my order was made quickly. I definitely recommend!!“

“My first time visiting Cincinnati for my son’s away game, I decided to make a stop to the Jersey Mikes. I was greeted upon arrival and everyone had such great manners and hospitality. There was a teenager I think they called him Tay, he was amazing. He made my Kahuna and it was perfect, good manners and personality. “We're from Cleveland and were in town visiting for a show and wanted something local - not a national chain. We found Izzy's and we will DEFINITELY be back every time we're in Cincy! I had the Codfather and it was THE best fish sandwich I've ever had. I almost went back for a second one later on!! The service was also excellent - they were VERY friendly and conversational. “I don't generally give reviews of places, but this is a must!! We went in for the advertised gluten free bread, we ordered and my husband requested that the first person change their gloves to eliminate cross contamination, that's when I realized that this was a mine field and started looking for all the requests we would need to make to keep him from getting contaminated. I didn't even have to ask!! They brought the sub out wrapped up, changed gloves, wiped the counter, got a new knife, put the sub on a wrap to transport it down the line, and placed the knife on the wrap as well, second person changed gloves, when he asked for mayo asked if packets were ok since the spreader and mayo were not safe. I want to cry, I am so happy with the care they took, the sensitivities to the hazard that he faces was phenomenal!!!“

“We chose to go on thier "Day of Giving" it was super busy! But they seemed to have it all under control and the customers were dealing. As we were leaving I heard the young lady at the counter inform the newest customer that they had run out of bread...."so if you wanna wrap or a salad we can help you". Like I said they were busy. They gave us our cold sammys with very little wait, our hot ones (we ordered 6, 4 cold/ 2 hot) took awhile longer they ended up calling my name ( I enjoyed the first name basis) to inform me I'd have to pick a different kind of bread which was fine. We got home and the sandwiches were great. Exactly what we asked for and very tasty.“

“My husband's favorite. Baked potato and chicken tortilla soup. I usually choose various sandwiches and soups depending on my mood. Excellent iced tea! Usually order at table on my phone. Much easier than standing at the cashier area. Lots of options-soups, salads, sandwiches. Desserts include cheesecake, cookies, and carrot cake. Yum!“

A few weeks ago a caterer called and cancelled our order with less than an hour until it was due. I called and Mr. Salaah answered. “We had not been to Penn Station in a long time, but stopped by when we got a bogo coupon. We ordered toasted Italian subs. They were so delicious that we couldn't wait to go back. The employees are very efficient. The subs are always perfect. The fans are loud so it is hard to hear inside the restaurant. Last time we got take out. It was still excellent. Hope they send out more coupons. We'll be back.“

“I was waited on by a lady named Tonya. It was yesterday and I still remember her name. When service is memorable it’s worth returning to. This is not the most upscale subway and it took a minute to have a spot to park.. but it’s clean and the girl that made my sandwich, made it like it was her own! I was very happy with it! Thanks Tonya my cold cut combo was exactly the way I expected! I enjoyed it!“

“The service was on point. The restaurant was clean and presentable. It was pretty busy but luckily they had plenty of employees to keep the food rolling out the door. I came in today (2/20/24) around 12:30 and all the staff were incredibly friendly. The man who made my sandwich had some large tattoos on his forearms and I swear I never saw a more beautiful sandwich being made just for me. Another one had long curly hair tied up and was super kind, he hyped up my choice in toppings. The guy who sliced my meats and cheeses was very polite and the lady at the front was very sweet. “I came to carry out a couple of subs for lunch. I hadn't been there since pre-covid. Prices then we're a little high in my opinion. I did get a coupon which pulled me back in. With all the price hikes, this place is no longer very expensive. It's about normal. The subs I had were amazing. I had a Reuben sub. The Corned beef, sauerkraut, cheese and sauce were great as expected. That bun was outstanding. Without a good supporting bun, the sandwich is no good. This one was amazing. So I had a really good experience coming back in here and will continue to do so. The restaurant looked nice as well. The staff was very busy but they did a good job.“

Tonight a young gentleman that was working there by the name of Mark noticed my boy wouldnt eat and was really wanting a cookie. I tried eveything to get him to eat and nothing would work.
