“Place was packed. Parking awful. Being handicapped I had to walk way too far to enter. Very loud and noisy. Had a big group and had to shout to one another. My BLT was tasty. Service slow but the waitress was running around like crazy. Definitely needed more help. Have been here before and was much better the other times. Won't be bringing our group back here.“

“Food was delicious. I had the spinach dip and the philly cheese steak. The beer was cold and they had a lot of local options. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were very personable and attentive. I was there for the solar eclipse and made several friends at the bar with my extra eclipse glasses. Would definitely recommend visiting here.“

“Characters has been around for a long time and for good reason! It is solid American bar food at an exceptional price point. On Wednesdays they have a 6 oz sirloin steak for $5.99! If that isn't motivation enough to get you down there, let me tell you about their wings. They are pretty damn good! The wing night isn't as good of a deal as it once was. I believe they are $1 a wing.“

“Great spot to watch games, or pre-game before a game or concert. There is a big beer list with a bunch of local ones. The food is standard bar food...nothing too special. Service is pretty quick and attentive. Plenty of TVs around. Decent amount of seating inside and some outside...but definitely gets crowded pre-game. I go pretty often.“

Its a shame as we love the food, and the staff are mostly really nice, especially the Irish guy, he's a great dude! And very very funny/ friendly. This is the third time we have come here while this particular bar lady is working, and she is rude, dismissive, and flat out ignores you no matter how much you try to talk to her for service. Our last two visits she's just standing at the bar chatting to her mates ignoring the customers. I still recommend this place, but she definitely ruins it (the people next to us felt the same after waiting 20 minutes for service, while we waited 25 minutes for our check - it wasn't busy, she was just hanging with her friends), she really needs some kind of training. “Was thoroughly disappointed with the service. I walked in around 6:10 and sat down at the bar. I counted and there were 13 then went up to 15 other patrons at the bar with 3 bartenders behind the bar.. I left at 6:30 as not a single one acknowledged that I was there and never offered any service. After being ignored for 20 minutes and watching them take other orders, why would I ever go back? I gladly took my business and money elsewhere, where the bar was far busier and was helped in a minute of sitting down. Horrible service by folks who don't car. “It was a Friday when we went. The place was busy which is always great to see. Around 6:30 or so they turned up the music and that made the atmosphere very uncomfortable. When you are in a bar that is already playing music and has lots of people, it is pretty noisy so if you turn up the music it becomes even worse.“
