I finally visited Luca West on Friday evening, May 17th 2024. I arrived for an early dinner with a friend at 4:40pm. I came strictly for happy hour ($7) which is from 4:30pm to 6:00pm. CUSTOMER SERVICE (5/5) -- Our host/server, Danijela, was wonderful. She was managing the bar as well on a busy evening and she did a great job bringing water, complimentary bread/oil, and our dinner to the table. She was very attentive and friendly. Excellent. FOOD - HAPPY HOUR (5/5) -- Happy Hour is a great deal at just $7 a plate. I ordered the Orecchiette pasta and tried some of the calamari that my friend ordered. The Orecchiette is made with Italian Fennel Sausage, Rapini , and White Wine. It was just your classic orecchiette and I enjoyed it. The calamari was tasty as well. I especially loved dipping the soft bread into the calamari tomato sauce. The quantity (size) of both dishes was more than enough food for one person and I was full after leaving. My friend ordered a drink, the peach bellini ($7) which she enjoyed. I don't drink alcohol so I didn't get a drink. I can't wait to return to try other italian dishes. I heard their patio is beautiful so I'd love to see it next time (it wasn't opened today). At just $7 a plate during happy hour, you can't get a better deal than that anywhere else in town, that I know of. TIP -- The entrance may pull you away because it doesn't look like a restaurant but you are in the right spot. Luca West is just connected to an office building. Also, parking is free because there is a big parking lot at the front of the restaurant. **** GOAL of 150 reviews in 2024 - 31/150 total reviews in 2024 - 681 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 17 May 2024

Luca West is a gem among restaurants, offering not only exquisite food but also exceptional service. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff here are incredibly attentive and genuinely care about your dining experience. The menu at Luca West is diverse, with a wonderful selection of dishes that cater to a variety of tastes. Whether you're in the mood for classic Italian pasta, fresh seafood, or a perfectly cooked steak, you're in for a treat. The quality of the ingredients is evident in every bite, and the presentation is as delightful as the flavors. What sets Luca West apart is the attention to detail. The waitstaff are knowledgeable about the menu and are happy to make recommendations or accommodate special requests. The ambiance is cozy yet sophisticated, making it the perfect place for a romantic dinner or a casual meal with friends. I can't recommend Luca West enough. It's the kind of place where you feel at home, and you'll want to return again and again. If you're looking for a restaurant that combines delicious food, outstanding service, and a great atmosphere, this is the spot for you.

Food was amazing, but took ages to come out(even the bottle we ordered took 15+ min). tables so close together that staff and patrons bumped into our table with ever pass(table was wabbly enough already). server would say “it'll be right out” and then we'd wait and wait. busser/food runner also whispered and nearly dropped our food. management, please train the staff a little more. the kitchen is killing it, service needs to get on that level.

Fantastic food! Service was so great from Diana! She really took her time and made great suggestions. We truly enjoyed our time and will certainly be back soon!

Excellent service and good food! The only complaint we had at our table of 6 is that the noise level was super high in the room we were in, by the fireplace. Next time we will request a different area. Lovely restaurant though.

Our dining experience at Luca West's bar area, guided by bartender Christian, was nothing short of exceptional. Opting for pre-cocktail drinks, we found ourselves so enamored by Christian's service that we decided to remain in the bar despite having dinner reservations elsewhere. His drink knowledge was evident and attentively addressed all our inquiries. Christian went above and beyond by recommending a delightful off-menu special that left our taste buds WANTING more. Furthermore, he made my son's birthday celebration truly memorable, ensuring it was an unforgettable occasion. We'll undoubtedly return, as the BAR AREA has now become our preferred spot, and the thoughtful gesture of a picture for my son was a delightful touch.

The food was outstanding, the service was very good. It was my wife's birthday and they went the extra mile by bringing over a free tiramisu with a candle and took and gave us a picture--very nice. The cocktails were excellent as well. The one serious problem was the noise level. The ceiling is very low and you had to yell to have the person next to you hear you and we could hardly hear the specials from the server although she was right next to us. Other than the noise level, it was an awesome experience.

We went to Luca West for Easter and had to come back and bring our very good friends. They loved and so did we. We had the Branzino and Slow roasted lamb shank. Anavera made some great recommendations. Our friends had the Lobster Risotto, Cozze Mussells, and the Scallop Risotto. All delicious! We'll be back and so will they.

My wife and I had a great experience here for a date night. The restaurant has beautiful decor and a great atmosphere. The servers were personable, friendly, and professional. Most importantly, the food was excellent. I had the lamb shank with cheese tortellini and I would definitely get it again. I would recommend to anybody looking for a fine dining experience for a night out.

Luca West is an amazing experience for any lover of true Italian cuisine. The food is phenomenal, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the setting is superb. As regulars of this fine establishment, the quality, consistency, and service keep us coming back.

Dined here prior to this time in the summer and this time wasn't as good. The lobster in the bologna dish I got this time had a funky taste to it and the shrimp along with the lobster were overcooked and rubbery. I also had to ask the waitress 3 times for a straw and when I finally ordered a sprite I finally got a straw for my water. The last time we visited, it was just as busy if not more busy and was overall a better experience. The only good thing this time was the bread service and the mussels appetizer ordered. I also saw countless dirty spoons and a poured water already sitting on our table. This is our last time here forsure.

Fatos was our server and he did a great job making recommendations. His service was excellent. We had the wild boar and the halibut specials and they were delicious! The last time we were there was in 2018 - not sure why we waited so long. We won't wait that long again!

My wife ordered the gnocchi with a salad , I ordered a sea scallop pasta entree. My wife immediately noticed that her salad dressing tasted mostly of oil, with very little vinegar. My scallops were cooked properly, but were tasteless. The pasta tasted of nothing but oil. There were some herbs sprinkled around the edges of the plate, so I dragged them in, and my wife offered me a generous pile of the sundried tomatoes that came with her entree, but there was no helping my dish. My wife described her gnocchi as "unremarkable". When the waiter came around to ask how we liked our food, we told him our findings. He brought out grated parmesan and salt & pepper, which at least created SOME flavor in my dish. He also brought out a complimentary piece of tiramisu, which my wife said was very good. The service was good, although I prefer restaurants where there's a only a single waiter to deal with, rather than a bunch of different people constantly gang-banging your table. The ambiance was fine. The decor is understated, a little on the portentous side, but about what you'd expect for a place with $50 entrees. As others have mentioned, the noise level is high; there's a 'bar' area adjoining the main seating room, and I imagine the volume will kick up throughout the evening as the blood/alcohol levels rise in the bar. To sum up, Luca West seems to be one of those places you go to impress the people you're with, rather than to enjoy the flavor of your food. Stella Mia, a few miles away, offers an almost identical level of atmosphere and service, but with much better food. And, after a quick check of their online menu, significantly lower prices.

Was there last week in their private room for a dinner. We had 25 people. There should have been more than one waitress. She was working her butt off to keep up. Got there at 5 and left at 9pm!!!! Service was SLOW and the food was gross. After spending $360 for 2 adults and 3 kids, we stopped at Burger King on the way home. Waste of money. Wait staff was amazing. They were trying.
