Unfortunately, I could not rate my experience because, for some reason, Danny's changed their hours (contrary to the hours on their website) on the one day we were in town. Found a paper sign taped up on the door, stating the hours changed for this one day (no reason given and nothing on the website9).Disappointing end to my trip to Pgh.

I’m sure those who grew up with it think of it as their favorite, but i found it to be ok. Not bad, but not great. At least the sauce isn’t sweet like a lot of pizza in the area, but it tastes canned and not fresh. I’m reminded that pizza is like sex…when it’s good, it’s great. When it’s bad, it’s still pretty good. It wasn’t bad at all…just not great.

Yes, Danny's has slipped since the 60's...haven't we all? But Danny's still has the great good fortune of seeing all the other places slip even more, so Danny's still looks good by comparison. The only place I've seen still trying "old school" hard is DiBella's in Robinson.

I have been visiting here most of my life. They absolutely make the very best hoagies I have ever had. I haven't been inside the shop since I was a teenager and that was a long time ago. The atmosphere was exactly the same. I love that. The food is always great ENJOY!!
We never eat at Danny's so I can't rate the atmosphere but we love the food as take out. In fact, my brother and his wife come all the way from Indiana and insist that we get hoagies from Danny's while they are here. I am now 69 years old and still remember taking dates for Danny's pizza when I was in highschool. It has been the place to go for over 50 years!!

One of the employees was very unhygienic. He was caught by multiple customers picking his nose and smoking, and was not friendly at all. I'm surprised the board of health does not shut them down. The classic hoagie is always good, despite a slight change in ingredients. After seeing how disgustingly dirty the worker was who prepares food, we will never go back until that problem is fixed.

The food is pretty decent, booths were a little dirty, overall not bad service but I struggled a bit seeing the worker sitting on the counter where they prepared food.
