“Absolutely fantastic. The red cabbage aoup with dill and sour creme was spectacular. The fire roasted chicken was absolutely fantastic. An explosion of flavors not seen around this area. The food presentation is fenomenal and elegant. Food temperature and moist is perfect and after taste of the entire experience lingers for a good while. The selection of wines an cocktails go along oerfectly with the Entrees.Nice selections of spanish wines.. Desserts are rich and warm. The Pear Almond Tart was perfectly cooked and warmed. The baked Alaska with the oven toasted merengue reveals a nice vanilla icecream in its core. Highly recommended.. Make sure to stop by and say Hi to owner and Chef Eric. Wonderful experience. On a scale of 1 to 10, .i'lll rate this a 20. Hands down the best in the area. 5 stars Haute Cuisine.“

“Alta Via is definitely a favorite place of mine now. Tonight was my third time coming, and our server Eddie was absolutely amazing. He saved our night! (We had a horrible experience at another resturaunt, so we left and came to Alta Via in Market Square!) He was so attentive to our needs and really went above and beyond! Food is always delicious, drinks are amazing and the focaccia bread they bring out is to die for. Highly recommend! And ask for Eddie at the Market Square location!“

“Was our first time there Friday night we met friends of ours, and it was a wonderful experience. The service is great the waitress was so nice we didn’t get her name. We had wonderful appetizers our meals were great! We will be back and we keep telling people how good it was!“

“Been here many times and I never walk away disappointed. For an appetizer I recommend the artichoke dip... fantastic. I enjoyed the crab cakes and found them to be very tasty . Sure, you'll get better when you're in the Baltimore area, but hey, we are in Pittsburgh! Service was so friendly and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. “This place is great!The owner is really nice. The building is huge and well maintained. There's pool tables and games and TVs and a huge bar. This is totally the place to go.I ordered a dozen and a half whole jumbo wings for pickup. $18. ($12.99 for a dozen.) He threw in extra wings cause he was worried a couple of them were small.I was blown away with how good the wings were and even more impressed by the price point. I rate these as top tier, entree-grade wings.As we all know, there are so many varieties of wings and personal wing preferences. So, let's get into it.The wings are baked and then fried, creating a really interesting and unique taste. They are totally naked, there isn't any breading - not even a light dusting. This means they aren't as crunchy as other wings, but some of us actually prefer naked whole wings. Even without any breading, they have a great outer texture and we're cooked perfectly.The Hot Garlic wings were my favorite. The sauce complements the naked-baked-then-fried cooking style to create a fantastic taste. This will be my go to when I return (and at these prices, I'll be back often).The Seasoned wings were very good, but different than I've ever had. Instead of a dry rub, it was almost like they had a light butter coating to them and then seasoning was applied. It could also be that since they are totally naked, the fat in the skin melts and stays wet. Or it could be oil left over from the fryer, but I kind of doubt that. Either way, they were not dry.The Seasoned wings are going to come down to personal preference. “Atmosphere and service were fantastic. The food was hit or miss. I had the black and blue shrimp and the wings. The shrimp were fantastic. I'd easily come back just for those. The wings were huge, juicy and well fried but they lacked seasoning. Once I asked for old bay and hot sauce they were much better.“

“My husband and I had a lovely light dinner at Cornerstone last night. The service was very very good. The drinks were large and quite the bargain. We shared the Amish chicken which was quite good albeit just a tad on the dry side, but very tasty nonetheless. It was a lovely low key experience which was very enjoyable.“
