We have been to the Princeton location many times over the years. This was our first time at the Newtown location. The place is roomy and bright. Our waitress was fabulous (Sandy). The cocktail menu is fun. The food was amazing. Since it was Mother's Day, I was offered sparkling wine as we entered and given a carnation as I left - what a nice touch.

Overrated. They didn’t even suck my $100( read 2 doz) oysters right. Decided to go to another restaurant mid meal. I really wanted to like it.

My party of 5 loved the food, however, we were so impressed with our service. My young daughter was not feeling well and Mike immediately noticed and you could tell he was a very caring person. He brought her soup, sherbert, ice ....he was such a legend of a server. I wish I could day more to convey how great he was. As a father, it was truly appreciated.

This was my first time, and last time here. I didn't have high expectations and I was not disappointed lol. Super expensive for the quality and flavor. Very pedestrian. I had bronzino served with gobs of shallots and garlic. What an odd combination and it was awful. Lobster bisque tasted like it came from a can. Our bar tender had zero personality. Acted like we were bothering him. I can't understand the good reviews. Maybe because the portions are big. But that doesn't impress me if the food isn't up to par.

Blue Point Grill Newtown exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we stepped in, we were treated to exceptional service, delectable food, and tantalizing cocktails. The ambiance set the perfect tone for our dining experience, and Sandy, our server, truly went above and beyond. The seafood was unbelievably fresh, undoubtedly some of the best we've tasted in a while. Whether you're planning a celebration, a cozy family dinner, or a romantic date night, this place ticks all the boxes. We can't recommend Blue Point Grill Newtown enough. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out!
This was my second meal here. We were fortunate enough to get Michael as our server both times. Two amazing meals. The seafood is delicious, I loved the grilled calamari appetizer. My son enjoyed the espresso martini flight. Try to save room for dessert.

Alyssa was an amazing server! Loved the stuffed shrimp, black cod miso and arctic char. This was our 2nd time dining at Newtown location. Drinks were extremely slow on both occasions. I think that they need another bartender on weekends. Tables shouldn’t wait 10-15 minutes for a drink before placing an order. Noticed some couples getting their drink at the bar before dinner. Perhaps that is the solution!

I been eyeing up this place for a while. I saw it had many good reviews, but good reviews doesn’t necessarily mean good food in my experience. This place was a disappointment. The food tasted like reheated microwaved tv dinners from the 80s. The clams oreganata had so much bread crumb in I couldn’t find the clam in it. The octopus had a taste like it had been left out from the night before. The grilled calamari was decent. The Thai shrimp were nasty. I ordered Red Snapper for an entree they brought me Halibut. Halibut was tasty and so were the French fries. My wife’s Scallops were like rubber over cooked. My daughter didn’t eat her crab cakes. The whole meal was completely overpriced and a total waste of money. I wouldn’t feed it to my dog and my dog probably wouldn’t eat it because he eats better at home.PS ON A SIDE NOTE TO PEOPLE WHO FREQUENT THIS PLACE BECAUSE I WILL NEVER RETURN. I WAS SEATED VERY CLOSE TO THE KITCHEN. I WATCHED ONE OF THE SOUS CHEFS DROP A SHRIMP ON THE GROUND AS HE WAS TOSSING THE PAN PICK IT UP WALK BEHIND THE MAIN CHEF TOWARD THE TABLE AS IF HE WAS GRABBING SOMETHING FROM THERE AND PROCEEDED TO THOW THE SHRIMP BACK IN THE PAN. I WASNT EATEN SHRIMP FOR MY ENTREE SO I KEPT IT TO MYSELF. I WAS GOING TO SAY SOMETHING WHEN I LEFT BUT ILL NEVER RETURN SO WHO CARES. I DID NOTICE A CAMERA THOUGH IN THE KITCHEN AND IF IT WAS MY PLACE I WOULD BE REVIEWING IT AND FIRING THE CHEF ON THE SPOT.
