“This place has been on my list for some time and I was fortunate to visit at a downtime. Amongst a city full of pizza shops, Down North stands out among the greats. ENVIRONMENT The restaurant is relatively easy to find and seats no more than 5 or so people in the shop. The wait was a tad excessive which I credited to the food being "made with love". FOOD I love a good piece of focaccia! Another contributor commented that their pizza can be likened to focaccia which I would find to be incredibly accurate. The "Detroit" style was incredibly flavorful accompanied by a heaping of toppings(I settled on the "I'm A Boss"). I will admit the fries left a bit much to be desired but not enough to influence my rating. If you're based anywhere in North Philly between Farimount and Erie Ave, I can confidently say Down North is among the top three picks for the area. Happy eating!“

“For starters this is a TAKE OUT restaurant only. My gf and I were unaware of that , and low-key dissapointed. However all that went away once they opened the takeout window and we smelled the wonderful aroma of fried chicken and spices. The fired chicken , potato salad and cute individual bottles of hot sauce were honestly amazing. and don't let me get started on the home made ranch sauce, by far the BEST I've ever had.The food was sooo good we ate it 2 days in a row. Def a good spot 10/10.Cons: Corn muffin -5/10tater tots: 3/10 ( tried extremely too hard , tasted old)“

“I had my 21st birthday party at the Bayou and every single person had an amazing time! The staff is so friendly and was so communicative, really making me feel special and ensuring that the experience was great. The pricing was very affordable and If you are considering doing an event here I would 1000% recommend it! Me and my friends enjoyed ourselves so much we want to do another event there soon :).“

“Fall of the bone wings with great flavor. Only wish they could also be crisper but just my personal preference. Still delicious nonetheless. The fried Ravioli with the marina sauce is also a fave of mine. Place is small so we always order out.“

“I live for fried chicken. Fried chicken is my weakness lol. I should move here to Pennsylvania. We do not get good honey fried chicken like y'all do here. Me and my crew stopped here and we ordered several pieces of drum sticks and other pieces of chicken. Nice place to sit down and break bread with family and friends. The people are nice here. The chicken is juicy and crispy with a nice honey taste. Makes you wanna slap yo momma lol. I cant wait to come back again.“

“I don't usually care Chinese food but I had some of Danny's at a cousin oh mines party and it was delicious. I decided to go to the restaurant one day because I was craving Chinese food and I got wings and shrimp fried rice the food was amazingly delicious and fresh. The restaurant took me by surprise because it was nice and clean which you don't usually see in Chinese food locations. The prices were average and the service was good. I would definitely visit again.“
