“Uniquely seasoned food served promptly and pleasantly. Outdoor seating is available in a private booth design that's very 'public' since it's on the sidewalk. The interior design is remincent of authentic Chinese culture with wooden dragons carved in the wall. You can sit at the bar or sit in the main dining area. The culinary delights are streamed, gluten free or lightly fried. The chilli sauce/oil is a nice surprise it's fragrant with a hint of perfume of anise, cardamom and clove, amongst other herbs, all smothered in oils and Sichuan pepper. I highly recommend this spot.“

“I have a gluten allergy and the menu is very user-friendly for those who have to navigate those options. Haven't had general tsos chicken in YEARS and I was ecstatic to see that I was able to have a gluten free version. Absolutely delicious and will be going again soon.“

“Sooooooo authentic. Little hole in the wall. Got the sweet tofu fa. Needed to ask for extra ginger syrup halfway through, so thats a tip if you're going to eat there. The tofu is so soft and tender. The syrup is perfectly "not too sweet". And its less than $4 for this small size...small being a whole pint! Loooooove!“

“This place is a gem . Don’t know why it wasn’t busy as hell when we went there because the service was great, the food was easily the best Chinese I’ve had in the city, and the portions were at least twice the size of any other place I’ve been to. Expect family style and leftovers . Orange chicken , hot and sour soup , scallion ginger shrimp and salt and pepper tofu are all perfected versions of themselves.“

“The best place for dim sum in Northeast Philly according to us locals. They open 9:30am for dim sum in the push carts however the kitchen doesn't open until 11am for specially requested dishes. Tax is always included. Unfortunately, the bathroom to my several experience always runs cold water for washing hands :( .“

“My family and I have been going here for probably over 2 decades and the food now is just as good as I remembered. This place is a small, family owned restaurant located deep in South Philly and serves amazing food. The most popular item here is the noodle soup and there are several variations on the menu. You can get the classic (pork) noodle soup (item #1 on their menu), combination of pork and some seafood (#2), egg noodles instead of rice noodles (#3-4), seafood noodle soup (#5), etc. I love this type of noodle soup because the pork based broth is so light, flavorful and comforting. Unfortunately, I don't get it very often at other Asian restaurants because it's never good anywhere else. This place does it the best and is the closest you can get to eating at someone's house. You can also order a side of fried dough to dip into the broth to soak up that yummy goodness. The spring rolls here are also very highly addictive with an insane level of crispiness. The other item I highly recommend (though my husband does not like it as much) is the beef fried with large noodles (#35). It's sliced beef and Chinese broccoli gravy over chow fun noodles and unbelievably delicious especially when paired with a drizzle of Sriracha. If you ever want to venture off the beaten path and try good, authentic Southeast Asian cuisine I'd highly recommend coming here to support this local family-owned business. I hope to come here for another 20+ years.“

“Probably the best Cantonese food you'll find in the center city Philly area. The taste to price ratio is excellently high. The barbecue meats are the best here. If you go, definitely order them at least. Service was fine, don't really care as the food is excellent. Standard restaurant atmosphere nothing noteworthy.“

“Great food! Easy walk from convention center! Enjoy!“
“A gem! Got mixed veg with shrimp (and gravy) and boy did that exceed my expectations for $7. Chicken platters are $6. Super tasty, CHEAP, and the lo-mien is better than the brick-and-mortar restaurants around here to me.Cart is just about at 6th and Sansom, so if you work around here, you need to try it for lunch one day!“
“Very small neighborhood restaurant, if you want most authentic you know these places are the best. Service was great, speaks both English and Khmer. It was so cold yesterday so a nice hot bowl of Cambodian noodle soup was perfect! And of course when you can't say no to the soup but also want the dry version, do both, yum!!“
“By far the BEST Asian food EVER in my life - a complete local hangout - seriously hands down you must go here! Get the spicy sour minced pork noodles - it's to DIE for #completebliss“

“Really great. I had the Chongqing spicy broth, wagyu, head on prawns, scallops, and lamb as my meats and went crazy in the self serve area. Great quality meats and vegetable selection. Broth was good, service was good. I had to wait for about 1 hour because you cannot make a reservation for a 2 top, but it was well worth it. I left completely satisfied for 40 dollars plus tax, no uncharged. Highly recommended.“

“We eat here occasionally and always make a meal of appetizers and dim sum. It was, once again, absolutely delicious, and our server was a delight, even suggesting adding a piece to some choices for an even split between us. My recommendations: edamame, dim sum sampler, tea-smoked spare ribs, rock shrimp bao buns, pork belly bao buns, Szechuan sour to drink, and dim sum doughnuts for dessert. On some visit, we'll have to branch out with our choices, but these are just so darn good.“

“I don't usually care Chinese food but I had some of Danny's at a cousin oh mines party and it was delicious. I decided to go to the restaurant one day because I was craving Chinese food and I got wings and shrimp fried rice the food was amazingly delicious and fresh. The restaurant took me by surprise because it was nice and clean which you don't usually see in Chinese food locations. The prices were average and the service was good. I would definitely visit again.“

“Had a great meal at La Chinesca...everything we had was delicious but I would call particular attention to the black bean fundido and the pumpkin tacos. Also LOVED the calamari Caesar salad! Cocktails were excellent and portions were quite generous!“
