“Cafe La Maude in Philadelphia is a charming spot that blends French and Lebanese culinary traditions into a delightful brunch experience. With a 5-star rating, it’s praised for its flavorful and unique dishes, professional service, and the cozy ambiance that makes the wait worthwhile. The menu offers a mix of healthy options, and while the prices are a bit steep, the quality of the food is exceptional. It’s a place where you can enjoy a leisurely meal and feel the warmth of family history and culture in every bite.“

“Pineapple Raisin Tamale is understated! Get Pineapple Raisin Tamale if it is offered. Get two! Get Three! It's pretty awesome and I am kicking myself for getting just one and having to share! Relative to the tacos I think these tamales may not get as much publicity but they are unique and fantastic! Of course the tacos are great as well. Of the two taco versions, Lamb and Pork, the Pork was my favorite. The lamb was slightly dry and maybe needed a little spice for my taste. If you have to get them to go because of lack of seating, don't wait too long to eat! If only their standard hours of business were better I'd be there more often.“

“I’ve come to Herman’s on a number of occasions, and have always loved them, but became specifically motivated to review them after having this delicious espressogrino a month or so ago.Aside from this great drink - which you should all order - they have an excellent selection of artisanal groceries to buy and an entire shelf of nonalcoholic spirits to purchase.I came recently with my husband to get a few foods for a picnic and loved it!10 stars out of 5 ❤️“

“Food: 5 out of 5 Menu: 3.5 out of 5 Service: 4.5 out of 5 Ambiance: 5 out of 5 Value for money: 3 out of 5 The hummus is pretty addictive and can be ordered with interesting toppings such as minced beef or mushrooms. This hummus will make its place in my personal top 5 list and pairs really well with the soft, fluffy pitas. The lunch menu is pretty tiny, so you don't have too many options besides the hummus - just a chicken schnitzel platter or a vegetarian equivalent with eggplant. The place does get full, so a reservation is highly recommended for any meal. Service was warm and attentive and I enjoyed my meal with friends. There isn't much to dislike about this place besides the limited menu and the steep pricing. Even in an era where inflation is a known problem, Dizengoff surprised me with a bill of $30 for a bowl of hummus with mushrooms, 2 pita breads, and a small-ish glass of frozen hibiscus lemonade.“

“SO Good!! Lost Bread is a bakery and mill in Philadelphia. I found their table at the entrance to the Schuylkill River Park. The table is unassuming, yet filled with so much. They had Table Bread, Whole Grain Croissant, Deli Rye, Spelt Handpies, Milk Buns, Oat Bar, and Cranberry Bran Muffins. I opted for the Pretzel Shortbread Crisps, which are so yummy. They have lasted all week and I already can't wait for the next batch!“
“This was a great little spot to spend an hour before our dinner reservation. There is both a small bar with beers on tap and coolers with a wide variety of beers, both craft and the regular stuff which my husband was very pleased with. You can just grab what you need and chill. I had a really delicious strawberry NA beer suggested by the staff, really the best NA beer I have ever had. Most of all this is just a fun, relaxing easygoing stop. We had tired feet after several hours of sightseeing and this felt perfect.“

“Absolutely thrilled with my recent visit to South Philadelphia Tap Room! The highlight of my meal was, without a doubt, their Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese Sandwich. The soup was a perfect blend of tangy and creamy, with just the right amount of seasoning to elevate the fresh tomato flavor. Paired with a golden, crispy Grilled Cheese that was oozing with melty cheese goodness, it was comfort food at its finest. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff only added to the exceptional dining experience. A must-visit spot for anyone craving a classic with a gourmet twist!“
“My friends and I went here for Wednesday night quizzo and it was really fun! The place is a nice size, lots of seating. I don't normally like beer but get fomo when at brewery's, so I tried the "I pick things up and put them down" (and got a small size) and I finished it, which I normally never do so that's a good sign. I thought the place was kind of warm, but maybe that's just me lol. the appetizers weren't that bad, we tried the hummus and the Buffalo chicken dip, but for the price I expected a little more. It's definitely just quick bar food. My friends enjoyed their Cuban sandwich though. Would definitely go back for quizzo!“

“Came here for a girls-night-out/catch up with a good friend, since we wanted to "treat ourselves" to fancy, upscale, creative cocktails (rather than our usual dive bar City wide) - and this place did NOT disappoint. I got the gold dust woman (sage gin - pretty yummy, but not too strong. Simple and elegant.) and the Bela Lugosi's Dead (AMAZING! Gin, frothed egg white, and FALL SPICE!!). My friend got the Negroni, which was impeccably strong, if you're into that sort of thing (wasn't really for us). The bartenders were friendly & fun, and after 930pm the bar cleared out enough that we finally got a seat. Be warned- it's expensive at 12$/cocktail, but the ingredients and care put into their creations make it worth it.“

“Great little spot with an eclectic wine selection and solid small plates. Sitting outside of Fishtown Social with a glass of wine is a perfect way to spend an afternoon in the neighborhood. Hopefully all the construction doesn't crush your vibe though. The staff is always knowledgeable and friendly and can usually point you in the right direction if you aren't the biggest wine drinker. Bonus points here when they have oysters. Check it out and enjoy.“

“Beats El Vez any day! The Esquites (Mexican street corn) is this best we’ve ever had. My burrito bowl was so huge that I could make three meals out of it! Definitely our favorite Mexican place in the city.“

“We ate outdoors in front of the restaurant. Unfortunately, a millennial was shouting over his phone and broadcasting his call at the very next table over (why is it that people are too lazy to hold the phone next to their ears and feel compelled to share their conversations and music with the rest of us who don't care to listen to them?). Spoiled an otherwise excellent meal.“

“This is a wonderful, quaint, byob brunch spot in the city. It's definitely more of an intimate/cozy setting as the space is really small. Nonetheless it's still such a cute spot! We brought our own champagne for mimosas and the orange juice the restaurant provided tasted really fresh. For breakfast I ordered the fried chicken and waffle Benedict which was delicious! It came with a side salad and normally I'm not a huge salad person but the light and refreshing flavors from the salad complimented the heartiness of the chicken and waffle perfectly. I also thought the portion size was perfect--enough to fill you up but not way too much food. For dessert we ordered the churro waffle per our server's recommendation which was sooo good. The staff was extremely nice and attentive and I had a wonderful experience here! Would definitely come back!“

“RUN to Ninja Bao, holy moly the food was delicious!! I am obsessed with the beef scallion pancake (that is rolled up like a burrito and reminded me of pho spices a bit) and the vegetable gyoza!! Probably the best veg dumpling I've ever had. The philly cheesesteak bun and cheesesteak gyoza were also amazing and full of flavor. Soup dumpling was okay, but the wrapper was nice. I enjoyed the texture of the bao a lot, and honestly the cheesesteak bao tasted better than your traditional cheesteak imo. Chicken gyoza was my least favorite and not a standout. Overall, I would totally come back here to this underground hidden gem!!“

“Our family LOVES C&C Creamery! They have delicious ice cream with a wide selection of flavors. Their prices are very reasonable and their servings are large (a small is a double with two scoops). We love the flexibility of having both a walk-up counter and a drive-through. If you are doing walk-up, the options for where to eat aren't ideal - there are two benches right near the parking lot, with cars pulling up quite close to where you're sitting. The whole establishment is right off a pretty busy road, so there is a lot of car noise and exhaust. But we are happy to grab our cones and drive to a nearby park for maximal enjoyment!“

“Humble Parlor is one of my favorite places to go for a beer and hang out with great people. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. The owners are super nice and will always take time to talk to their customers. Also, be sure to stop by during the Phillies season and get your stamps! They have giveaways for each "tier" of stamps. During the summer, their backyard is a nice place to grab a beer, watch the Phils, and soak up the sun. 5/5!“

“I revisit Joy Cafe (which is the newest name/incarnation for Soy Cafe) whenever I'm in NoLibs. It always leaves me feeling incredibly healthy and happy. Soy/Joy Cafe is in my top two vegan restaurants in all of Philly. My favorite dish here is the ramen with BBQ seitan. The seitan is just so very tasty. Everything here, from the seitan, to the vegan cream cheese, is homemade. My husband gets the carrot lox sandwich which includes the housemade cream cheeze along with red onions, carrot lox, and more, on many choices of really excellent bread. Don't leave without getting a smoothie! I tend to get the Green Giant, but the Coco Loco is also really yummy. Eat in the back garden on a nice day!“

“I’m a Philly Film Wedding Photographer and my clients had the most epic wedding day here! It’s definitely the perfect place if you’re wanting to have a smaller intimate wedding. They had around 90 people, the ceremony was on the outdoor patio and then they had a roaming reception. Basically you could grab a hoagie (they also had BBQ from ZigZag) take it to the dance floor, head to the bar when you’ve had enough dancing, then repeat. If you’re looking to have a restaurant wedding, definitely consider Martha!“

“Als Touristen sind wir ohne große Erwartungen ins Dirty Frank's. Wir wurden im Prinzip am ersten Tag schon als Stammgäste angesehen. Ab dem zweiten Tag, fühlten wir uns auch so. Absolut super Service, sehr nette Menschen im der Bar. Coole Jukebox, günstige Getränke. Sollte es uns jemals wieder nach Philly verschlagen, wird Dirty Frank's Bar das Erste sein, was wir besuchen werden.“

“Amazing Caesar salad and cocktails. Ordered two pizzas and loved one and wasn't too hot on the other. It wasn't bad at all - just not my flavor profile. The mushroom pizza (my normal go-to) is served with wilted greens that had an off flavor that was really bitter. Again: not bad at all - just not my vibe.“

“different cheesesteak #1137. Great neighborhood bar. I think the whole neighborhood was there. Nice woman next to me got the happy hour $10 draft/burger special. Guys on the other side were having a few drinks. Good crowd. Chef put a lot of time and special sauce into this cheesesteak. It came with very good house made potato chips.“

“I was in Philly this weekend for my sister’s graduation, and I tried a few of the local coffee shops near where I was staying (habitat obviously being one of them). I ordered an oat milk iced latte with an extra shot-it was well made, with a nice balance of espresso to milk. I found the latte had an earthy flavor, which wasn’t necessarily displeasing, but also isn’t something I usually seek out. There is more info about where they source their beans from online. Otherwise, the service was very good; the employee behind the counter was kind and attentive, and my drink was prepared relatively quickly. The interior is cool and funky, but a little small. I’m not sure this is the type of coffee shop where I would sit and do work. Overall, I would definitely recommend trying this place, I really enjoyed the vibes and the workers, and the coffee was solid.“

“I truly loved this place. I tasted pizzas I had never heard of and they were amazingly delicious. The chocolate “pizza—different crust more like a pastry) was “to die for”. I ate way too much but it was worth it. I would highly recommend it as a delicious and unique experience well worth eating way too much!!! They were all so good it was hard to decide what I liked best, all of which I had never tried or heard of before. Try it out and I don’t think you could be anything but delighted!“

“Having grown up with Texas breakfast tacos I was excited to see a spot in Philly to create what I was missing from home. Bfast taco was good, flavor was def there. A bit on the pricier end for a breakfast taco, even with a homemade tortilla. Was hoping all salsas were given out as well, tried the guaijlo , had good flavor. Not sure if I’ll be a reg just because they’re pricey. But I do appreciate what they are bringing to Philly.“
