“Nice date spot. We came on a whim as this was a recommendation from a local distillery. It was our anniversary and we happened to be visiting from LA. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a lovely meal with wine and ice cream.“

“Celebrated our 5th anniversary here tonight while visiting Philly. Beautiful ambiance and impeccable service. Rebecca our server was kind, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make our experience great. We did the Chef’s which was seasonal, thoughtful and delicious. Each serving was creative and intriguing. Compliments to Chef Kevin McWilliams. If you live in or near the Philly area please give this place a try!“

“I stumbled upon this restaurant for brunch and I was pleasantly surprised. Their portions are generous and the food is delicious. Their drinks are also a must if you like to pair a little bubbly with your brunch. I recall the staff being so kind and allowing my friends and I stay as long as we wanted without making us feel rushed. Great place with an eclectic feel!“

“A fabulous place for late brunch early evening dining that ushers you into the weekend El Techo way. One of the best rooftop bars and restaurants in the city with amazing music. Won’t miss ordering anything off the menu drink or food. Loved the Mixed Greens Salad is was so fresh and the Barbacoa Tacos braised beef is tender and juicy. Service is excellent and you’ll notice that everyone from the host, to the kitchen, and waiters care that you have the best experience. Also, love that they use Toast for bill paying. IYKYK!“

“What an amazing experience! I needed a restaurant venue in which to propose to my girlfriend. I was faced either with proposing in a room full of people or renting some expensive private room. Then I found Ambra and met chef and owner Chris D'Ambro. He has such a special room at Ambra, and he was so accommodating. He set up the room before opening so I could be alone to make the proposal. Then we enjoyed the tasting menu at the chef's table with wine pairing. The food was fantastic, the presentation was amazing, and the service was spectacular! In fact, we forgot the goodie bag that Chris prepared for us to take, and he came over the hotel he knew we were staying at and celebrating in the lobby with friends and family to bring it to us, which included a personalized printed menu of the night. They were fantastic!“

“Many months late but I owe this place a review. What a great experience. We did bar service, which in our case just meant being right up in the staff's faces while they cooked, but we love that vibe: ask about how your food is prepared, or why the recipe exists, or if they're playing around with an idea, and the folks at Irwin's (including the founder, Michael) will stop by and tell you all about their dinnerware, or why they do their caponata the way they do, or the relationship between Middle Eastern and Sicilian desserts. The drinks were amazing and the somm was super easy to talk to about the drink list. The mains were all very shareable - everyone wanted extra bites of everybody else's. And they're super generous. My dad had not had caponata and doubted he'd like it - caponata was my entry to eggplant done well so I disagreed. He won the argument, but Michael still sent over a sample. Plus the ambiance and decor are exactly what the BOK calls for and the views out the window are unspeakably cool. What a place.“

“Cafe La Maude in Philadelphia is a charming spot that blends French and Lebanese culinary traditions into a delightful brunch experience. With a 5-star rating, it’s praised for its flavorful and unique dishes, professional service, and the cozy ambiance that makes the wait worthwhile. The menu offers a mix of healthy options, and while the prices are a bit steep, the quality of the food is exceptional. It’s a place where you can enjoy a leisurely meal and feel the warmth of family history and culture in every bite.“

“We had dinner here for my boyfriend's birthday and the food, service, and ambience was absolutely amazing. We ordered the appetizer of the day, Gnocchi à la parisienne, Noix de Saint Jacques, and the desserts were a cherry on top. All the food was above and beyond. Both of us have been to Paris, but with all honesty, Bistrot La Minette tastes way better. Highly recommend for any special occasions for a taste of France in the city of Philadelphia.“

“Everything looked so great on the menu. It was hard to choose! We tried something from all of the sections on the menus. The oysters with grapefruit mignonette was delicious! The oysters were shucked and cleaned beautifully. The quail was excellent. We also ordered the pasta and duck. Both were delicious! We capped off the meal with the chocolate torte which had a bit of honeycomb cookie. The servers and food runners were excellent. Our food runner in particular was very enthusiastic about our dishes. Also loved that there were Zero-Proof beverage options! The menu is a bit pricey, but we thought it was worth it. I would happily go back and try more dishes.“

“The best Pho I’ve had in the city. It’s cash only but they have an ATM there. One of the biggest appeals for me other than the food is that they always seat you immediately and bring out your food practically as fast as you order it. It’s also at a good price point. Depending on when you go parking is usually hard to find so you’re probably better off parking on the street nearby.Parking: Depending on when you go parking can be hard to find. I would suggest looking for street parking as you get close.“

“came here for a friends birthday dinner last weekend - my friends and i had a great time! our server, Brazil, was attentive, kind, and helpful with answering our questions. entrees can be ordered on a spice level 1 to 5 but some dishes are naturally spicier than others so this doesn't always equate to exactly the spice level you expect. the fish moilee at spice level 2 was way spicier than paneer makhani at spice level 4. paneer makhani was good but could've been more flavorful. the paneer palak was our favorite dish. the paneer in both these dishes was some of the best i've had. samosas, garlic naan, and goat cheese naan were great. do be warned that 21% tip is automatically included for parties over 5. overall, the ambiance and service were 5/5. food was 4/5. not my favorite indian spot in philly, but very good nonetheless!“

“Food: 5 out of 5 Menu: 3.5 out of 5 Service: 4.5 out of 5 Ambiance: 5 out of 5 Value for money: 3 out of 5 The hummus is pretty addictive and can be ordered with interesting toppings such as minced beef or mushrooms. This hummus will make its place in my personal top 5 list and pairs really well with the soft, fluffy pitas. The lunch menu is pretty tiny, so you don't have too many options besides the hummus - just a chicken schnitzel platter or a vegetarian equivalent with eggplant. The place does get full, so a reservation is highly recommended for any meal. Service was warm and attentive and I enjoyed my meal with friends. There isn't much to dislike about this place besides the limited menu and the steep pricing. Even in an era where inflation is a known problem, Dizengoff surprised me with a bill of $30 for a bowl of hummus with mushrooms, 2 pita breads, and a small-ish glass of frozen hibiscus lemonade.“

“Awesome mexican restaurant in Fairmount! The restaurant looks small from the front but stretches back into really fun dining room. There is a patio option that would be great on a sunny day. The staff was very friendly and personable. I was seated as soon as I walked in but I did make a reservation beforehand. Our waitress made the recommendation for the Baja tacos and they did not disappoint (9/10) The carnitas tacos were excellent (9/10). We also started with the guacamole sampler, which comes with house chips and salsa. The plain guac was just average, but both the street corn and the spicy tuna guacamole were amazing. My friend and I split a margarita pitcher and they were great! A little sweet but perfectly strong. Easily 4 drinks in a pitcher. Overall this place is great for a first date, catching up with friends, or just some amazing food. Cantina Feliz will definitely be added into my regular rotation.“

“Really enjoyed our experience for a fusion restaurant. Food and drinks had wonderful flavor. Really enjoyed the hibiskey drink and red curry pork dumplings. The brisket in the brisket ramen was a little over cooked but otherwise the broth and kimchi were tasty. Sat at the bar, bartender was quick and friendly. Menu is very small and a little pricy but we felt it was worth the unique experience.“

“We got the chefs menu and sat at the counter. Service was excellent and food was incredible. The scallops were absolutely delicious. Sitting at the counter to watch the chefs and asking them questions was an awesome experience. Missing one star because the dessert was just not good. I’ve been to a lot of great restaurants that just aren’t dessert places, not sure if this is one of those or if it was just the dessert they had on the menu at the time. Will definitely go back.“
