“We've gone to the Commoner for brunch before, and we were curious about dinner offerings. First of all...please do yourself a favor and order TWO servings of the crispy potato appetizer. The fonude cheese is brilliant. Mains were just as good. We got the 12oz striploin - cooked to a perfect medium rare, edge to edge red, no gray ring - and the scallops. The latter was clearly the winner - delicious sauce, perfect light sear on the scallops, beautiful presentation. Our waitress was very friendly and service was prompt and professional. We greatly enjoyed the lively volume, and will be returning soon! The Commoner gets my strongest possible recommendation for a fun atmosphere, well-made food and drink, and those crispy potatoes.“

“I stay at the Embassy Suites a lot but have only dined in twice. The first time they nailed my order, but today, they left half the toppings off my salad....which didn't leave much. I got a house salad with salmon, and they only put olives on it, no cheese, no tomato. Green olives and balsamic didn't really pair well together on their own. Would have been nice to have some other flavors balancing them out. A $24 salad should at least come with all the toppings it advertises. Also ordered a cup of soup. That was not great. The salmon on the salad was cooked well though, so I appreciate that!“

“My daughter, two friends, and I were on the North Shore for the Taylor Swift concert this past Friday. We walked into the first restaurant we saw not having high hopes just looking for somewhere to eat and not have to wait for hours. We chose the right place! The wait wasn't nearly as bad as we thought (only about 25 mins) and the service, food, and atmosphere were perfect. Everyone was so kind from host and hostess to the wait staff. And even though they were completely packed, the quality of the food didn't suffer. I was so impressed. 10/10 stars. will recommend.“
