“This is a special place. Liege waffles are very different than anything I've ever had. They are made from a yeast dough, with caramelized brown sugar inside, smallish, and served warm in a napkin so that you can take it with you while window shopping. Please note: these are not meant to be served with ice cream on top. The ice cream and waffles are both very good by themselves. The owner only serves them together because people ask for that, but I think they ask for it because they think that's how it's meant to be served. (At least, that's what we thought!)“

“The best ice cream I ever had. Had banana cream pie at the top of my waffle cone and it was delicious and then I got to the Elvis flavor at the bottom and I couldn’t believe that it was even better. My daughter in law got a dark chocolate I can’t remember the name of it but she said it was the best chocolate she ever had in her life. The owner said she won the ice cream world championships with it. There were 5 of us and we all had different flavors and everyone was thrilled with what they had.Kid-friendliness: Special table for kids, but very limited seating“

The elote was delicious and with the just the right amount of fixings. We stumbled across this place on the afternoon of the eclipse and the weather was nice enough to enjoy an outside table. The street was so quiet, with very little traffic except for the street cars that ventured by so we enjoyed the sunbathed table whilst we enjoyed lunch and watched the eclipse. The service was friendly and attentive. This place took us back to the great places we frequent when in Mexico. We're so lucky to have this authentic place here in Pittsburgh. Even when uber delivered for them they pack the ice cream with such care making sure in case the driver has other stops your ice cream does not melt they put ice bags with it. “Forever thinking about my delicious waffle and ice cream from Waffallonia. We got the scrupulous cookie butter ice cream and Belgian waffle topped with fruit and whipped cream. The line was pretty long and so was the wait for your order, but that’s because only one guy was working behind the counter; he was working super hard though, and being incredibly efficient, so good on him! I split mine with my husband because I thought there was no way I could eat one on my own but honestly wished I had gotten my own since I wanted to keep eating all of it and not share ??“

“My husband and I went to Bruster’s today, in the hopes of being able to have a gender reveal cake created quickly for us. Although the cake we wanted could have taken a day or two, Erinn saw how excited we were and was able to create a custom cake for us same day!! Erinn had our baby’s gender in a concealed envelope and did an amazing job at ensuring we never knew the gender until we cut the cake. The cake tasted amazing and was beautiful inside and out. We couldn’t be more pleased with choosing Bruster’s for our gender reveal!!!“

“Is there much to this place? Not really. But if you're walking around the area on a warm, sunny day, nothing tops a gelati from Rita's. I lived in Pittsburgh for a year over twenty years ago, discovered this place maybe a month before I moved away. Since then, if I visit and the place is open, I have to stop here.Even when there's a line, service is always quick and friendly. For the treats themselves, the cup will look small when you see it empty, but I've always found that the small is the perfect size, at least for the gelati.“

“We love this DQ. They do such a great job. They're super efficient and always super friendly. Getting the DQ App has been a game changer. It makes things so much easier. We use it to order at home and then roll up and it's always ready. They also have great specials in the app. We've had all kinds of sweet treats.
