“Came here late night after a photoshoot in the city. Treated the people I was with to a nice meal. I called to see if there was a wait. The person on the phone was very helpful and it was not busy, so we could get in. They greeted us very kindly and sat us upstairs. My only complaint is that the fans made it cold after coming in from rainy weather. I suggest coming here during (Happy Hour) as the food and drinks are very pricey, but understandable as the quality of the food was worth it. The house made tortillas were warm and delicious. The queso, salmon, and guacamole appetizers were delicious and filling. Pineapple Margarita hit the spot. All the tacos they have are superb. Very delicious late evening option if you want quality food.“

Yesterday I tried Tepache Fox Chapel. The menu was very creative with authentic dishes from around the world. I tried the birria tacos. They were perfect! "A Jalisco staple. Quick-fried chipotle-corn tortilla stuffed with beef slow-marinated in chile de árbol and cinnamon, topped with raw onion, cilantro, melted queso Oaxaca. Served with lime and consomé broth for dipping." Yes they even came with console broth!!!!! The drink menu was also very creative! Great service and as we know a beautiful restaurant!“

“Can't wait to go back - and it will be soon! The tacos were wonderful with tender meats; asada, birria, lingua, and el pastor. Sides of cilantro, onion, salsas, and lime were served. The elote was delicious and with the just the right amount of fixings. We stumbled across this place on the afternoon of the eclipse and the weather was nice enough to enjoy an outside table. The street was so quiet, with very little traffic except for the street cars that ventured by so we enjoyed the sunbathed table whilst we enjoyed lunch and watched the eclipse. The service was friendly and attentive. This place took us back to the great places we frequent when in Mexico. We're so lucky to have this authentic place here in Pittsburgh. “Awesome spot on Mount Washington - my tacos (I got corn; you can get corn or flour tacos) had great flavor, were seasoned appropriately. The chips and guacamole were crunchy and fresh, and the whole atmosphere and vibe of the place was conducive to just kicking back and having a good time. Service was friendly but a bit slow (weren't many people there, but took over thirty minutes from when we placed the order to when we got the food; maybe there were to-go orders who ordered ahead?). Given the quality of the meal though and good service, I was impressed and would come back.“

The food is more authentic and closer to actual Mexican food than anything I've found in the eastern part of the country. Price is very reasonable and service is excellent.
