“Peppi’s deserves five THOUSAND stars. I called them less than an hour before closing to ask whether they might be able to accommodate a 22-sub order for the film crew I’m a part of. I was fully expecting them to say no, they wouldn’t be able to do it, and was ready to call around elsewhere. But to my complete delight, they said yes, and they blew our minds by making all 22 subs in under 30 minutes. Plus, they were super friendly. We had one very happy film crew that day, and that meal powered us through the rest of the shoot. Big shoutout to the whole team at Peppi’s. You guys rule and we will be coming back often!!!“

“OMG!!!! If they have been making subs since 1918, it certainly shows! Delicious! This sub shop is a hidden gem! I would not waste my money anyplace else except DiBellas if I'm buying a sub. They have it perfected and should patent their subs they are so good! The sub rolls are baked on premises! I ordered a 14" cheese steak with lettuce, tomato, provolone cheese, Mayo & Ketchup. My second sub was a God Father with, ham, turkey, provolone, mayo, lettuce, tomato, Yellow peppers, oil & vinegar and a little salt and pepper. I am not disappointed! The bread is the secret here and puts DiBella's miles apart from any deli... you gotta try this!“

“Man I loveeeee me some dibellas. I've eaten here a million times. Best thing on the menu is the cheesesteak 100%. The best cheesesteak in town. I like to throw lettuce, tomato, pickles, and black olives on mine. Also, make sure you get it with mayo AND their secret oil stuff....so good. Overall, great place. Great vibes. “What a divine breakfast we enjoyed here this morning! After enjoying delicious made-in-house beef in the Allegheny Omelete served alongside potatoes (with the perfect amount of salt) and a side of horseradish sauce along with an order of fluffy scrambled eggs with made-in house-turkey, we deemed it one of the best breakfasts around! Our waitress was adorable, friendly, cheery, and after she described several of the upcoming week's specials, we decided to come back again in the next few days for lunch!! What a friendly place with simply delicious food! Thank you!!“

“They make really good sandwiches. I had the Italian sub. The bread was soft and chewy and the fillings were tasty. I will probably go extra meat next time just because it tasted so good. My wife had the fish sandwich. This was no little fish sandwich! The filet of fish hung out a good 3 inches in each side of the bun. It's a plain sandwich with just the fish, but it was light and flakey (you can add cheese, tartar or ketchup. I would definitely recommend it.“

“So glad Jersey Mike's opened in Mt. Lebanon. The store is convenient, with easy parking and easy access. The store is clean and new, so I like going there. The workers were friendly and did not rush us as we decided what to get. Ended up with four people sharing two large subs: Philly cheesesteak and Italian. Both were really good and fresh. Nice amount of toppings. Bread was fresh. Enjoyed the overall experience.“

“W were a harmar location yesterday. We purchased a large pizza and the tray the server put the pizza on was filthy. It even had sauce smeared on it. The pizza was not cooked enough. The server was there but very unfriendly. I asked to be rated in the non bar area because I'm on crutches at this time. We were seat right beside the bar.“

That is until a Saturday evening at Altar Bar with Icarus Witch and Kamelot caused Kay and I to track down dinner in the Strip District.And there it was, Peppi's. As I waited, I took in the surroundings, gazing at the sports memorabilia and photos of patrons both ordinary and famous.Just as hunger pangs assailed my belly, there it was, enveloped in a paper plate in front of me: A homonculous of loose meat a la Maid-Rite gone malevolent. Ground beef, hot sausage, onions, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, scrambled eggs, and 'Merican cheese were all packed into a bread that was as flaxen as a Valkyrie and as airy as the morning mist. Upon doing some research I've found that it is called a Portuguese Roll, and it is pulchritudinous.This behemoth of a breakfast sandwich dazzled my tongue with its spice, filled my stomach amply with its bulky, chunky proteins, and soothed me with its fresh, fundamental vegetables, all of it held together with that amazing roll of rolls that threatens to make Italian bread passe via its sublime texture alone.'Tis the greatest sloppy joe to ever emerge from a steaming flattop.P.S. I found nothing "shabby" or "greasy" or "dirty" or "loud" about Peppi's. The service was friendly, the restaurant itself was clean, the atmosphere was quiet, and the sandwich was triumphant. If Primanti Brothers has a true parallel, it is Peppi's.One half of a Roethlis-Burger. I ate the first half and realized I didn't snap a pic.“

“This is the best subway I have ever been to! Everything is so fresh and extremely clean. The owners are always so nice and welcoming. I have come twice with my 2.5 year and 8 month old and they are always so sweet to the kids and the woman has given my older one a free cookie twice which she really appreciates. I saw other customers come in and the owner remembered everyone’s order if they had been in before which I find super impressive. I highly recommend coming to this subway! I’ll be back!“
