“We devoured the most epic dinner at Azur Charleston last night to celebrate our anniversary! If you haven't been, get ready for a taste bud explosion! We started with fancy cocktails that made us feel like high rollers, then feasted on an Azur burger with beef braised in burgundy on a croissant bun - it was like a party in our mouths! And don't even get me started on the lamb wrap with Boston lettuce and crème fraiche, it was like a flavor bomb went off! The service was top-notch, especially when we sat at the bar and got entertained by the bartender's fancy mixology tricks. What a night to remember in downtown Charleston!“

“OMG the food is amazing. Simply a cut above. Everything we had on the two nights we went - yes we went twice because the food was so outstanding - was simply wonderful. The fish, seafood and oysters were so fresh and were combined with flavors that just made them sing. The black bass tempura with the soy beurre blanc sauce melts in your mouth. My husband loved the raw oysters. The fried oyster roll with dill tartar sauce and freshly made chips is soooo amazingly good. The chili garlic shrimp was such a fantastic combo of flavors and the shrimp were so fresh. The blue crab tagliatelle was a scrumptious pasta dish with leeks, asparagus and trout roe that had a creamy, lemony flavor that was balanced with the salty roe. I'm not generally a fan of roe but it was just what the dish needed. Staff is so friendly and nice. The recognized us the second night and made us feel so welcome. You have to get in line 30 to 45 minutes before they open at 5pm to get a table and on the second night we were prepared to stand in the rain to get in. We have had some great seafood in Charleston but this is by far and away the top of heap.“

“I would argue that Malgón has the best bread service in Charleston. We stopped in for appetizers and wine. Our server was great and the patio was suuuuper cute. Blankets were provided on the patio as well, which was the perfect touch on this chilly evening. I’ve dinned here a few times and this is easily one of my favorite spots in Charleston.“

“Really great Chicken Caesar salad and great outdoor area for a balmy evening bite. The Salmon BLT was solid too. Hidden favorite was their house honey mustard which we used on our fries. Service was great and the porch as I said, was lovely.“

“I come here all the time and have nothing good to say about the servers, food, and atmosphere. Sometimes they have live music which is really a plus!!! Located right on king with a great happy hour and great cocktails!!! Rachel was my server/bartender tonight and she did a great job! The cassara is best in town!!!!“

“We had a wonderful experience at Estadio last night. My teenage daughter and I had dinner at their kitchen bar last night, and were treated to some of the best tapas I've had in years. The staff was so attentive and kind, and the chefs provided us with fantastic recommendations on food and wine. The others in the restaurant were mainly locals, which is always a good sign. I will definitely return the next time we are in Charleston!“

“Wine bar off the beaten track (this review is just for the wine, not food). You'll have to look for this place, but it is well worth it. There is an extensive wine by the glass selection that has some interesting and tasty treasures. Reasonably priced too. But if you go in on a Saturday night after 9pm you can choose to help clean out--you see, they are closed Saturday and Sunday, so they don't want to open a fresh bottle (for one or two glasses that late). We were delighted to participate in the Saturday night rinse ritual. For a very reasonable price, we could have a glass of what was opened (until it was all gone). We were told it is usually very quiet at that time, but we had a small and lively group. Great fun and a real surprise in Charleston. Got to try a txakolina, a skin contact white, a chilled gamay and there were other reds and bubbles open too. Thanks Nicole!“

“Went on a Monday night excited to try someone else's Paella, other than my family's. What I found was a perfect tapas bar. A perfect tapas bar needs a good ambiance (smooth jazz check [only on Monday night]), good service (very attentive bar tenders and staff, check), good food (only had the paella but all the tapas plates looked and smelled great, check), and a perfect tapas bar need friendly patrons (normally it takes a while to get to know the regulars, but I think everyone came over and talked to me including the musicians, and had great conversations just like I was another regular, check). I highly recommend!“

“Charming restaurant with great food and service. We had the octopus, mushrooms, whitefish and croquettas. Everything was perfectly cooked and all of the dishes were flavorful and unique. The only change I'd make is adding sangria to the menu. If you are eating tapas then I always expect great sangria to be served as they do in Spain.“

“I would go here more often if it was open on weekends. Over all delicious. The chicken burrito I had was so good and the sauce made everything even better. It only took 10 minutes to get our food and they had a little courtyard with shade behind the building. The prices are pretty standard for Charleston (not that cheap) but it wasn't outrageously expensive. The courtyard does have free water. The burrito has pico, fries, your meat of choice, cheese, and avocado. I would recommend going here if you're in the area around lunch time on a week day“

“This review is LONG overdue. My sister & I visited Charleston July 2023. The night we flew in from Seattle we had Chasing Sage for dinner - what a delight! From the atmosphere to the food to the incredible staff and chef, it was an amazing experience. My sister and I still randomly bring up our experience at Chasing Sage, and how delicious the food was. Honestly, we'll probably be back to SC and this place is a decent part of the reason why. Cannot express enough how much we enjoyed this place! *edit to add that at the time there was some sort of a seasonal drink on the menu that included peas and my sister thought it was to die for!“
