“We had the best lunch here! Our group was very large for a bachelorette party and they were able to accommodate us well, we did make a reservation in advance. All of the drinks were fantastic, several of our group had mococktails, and others had cocktails but all were absolutely delicious. I wasn't able to take a photo but the shrimp and oysters were amazing to have as appetizers, especially for a large group. I plan to visit this restaurant again when I return.“

“We would come back here even if not staying at the hotel. Excellent pizza and rigatoni, beer selection and custom drinks. Dress code is high-end fashion to tee shirt and jeans. Prices are very reasonable for food, drinks and service. Great bar to dine and drink alone at(and meet someone new?). Outdoor indoor or hybrid of that for dining. Many patrons looked like models. Hidden barroom in back an oasis(opens at 5pm). Any issues? The manager is great!“

“Stepping into Neon Tiger is like stepping into a dream world. The vibe is so wonderous! It's almost like stepping into a relaxing vegan tron-like world. If I am having a bad day, all I have to do is go to Neon Tiger and it is instantly all better! The food is amazing! I have enjoyed all of the staples and the specials and I have tried every item I could. I absolutely love that I don't have to ask for no straw in my drink! I love all the decor! Even if you can't get a table here, sitting at the bar is a pleasure! The staff are so friendly and do a great job of juggling all their duties while giving awesome service! I should have left this updated review ages ago but sometimes words are hard to come by when a feeling is not fleeting. Below you will find my original review in 2020 right after Neon Tiger opened. I will never forget you Neon Tiger! You have definitely been a beacon of hope for animals and helped steer me in the right direction! Thank you!!Been looking for a vegan pepperoni pizza. Surpassed my expectations! Not only is it vegan but it's the best (NY style) pepperoni pizza I've ever had!!!“

“We had an amazing birthday dinner at Melfi's tonight. The service was excellent. Donnie, our waiter, was fantastic..... pleasant, courteous, and great recommendations. We ordered snapper tartare, sweet peppers, Caesar salad, Paccheri duck ragu and cacio e pepe. All were delicious and recommendations of Donnie's. Wine recommendation was perfect. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting.“

“The pizza was awesome! The service was not. The cashier definitely had no desire to be there. He was rude and abrupt. I would go back but hopefully he has moved on or changed his attitude. The place is clean but there is no indoor seating. There are tables out front on the sidewalk. Its a nice area of town and its clean.“

“My wife and I stumbled upon this great place in the heart of the French Quarter. Exceptional service, great food, and a very cool Charleston pub. We shared the fish and chips, and also the house chips with their ranch dressing for dipping. Wonderful.“

“Needing takeout that would allow me to catch a sunset on time, this place fit the bill. It was a tiny space for dine-in, but my food was fresh and ready at the promised time, and I got more of a welcome than I'd expected for a quick takeout. I had a delicious smell (mostly basil) wafting to me as I rushed to make my appointment with the sunset. The pizza didn't reinvent any wheels, being a thin crust that focused emphasis on the toppings. The cheese was rich and the basil strong. My salad with gorgonzola and roasted nuts was arguably more filling than the pizza, and came with enough dressing for three salads. The amount of food for the money wasn't a ton, but I was satisfied with my decision.“

“The food was excellent, starting with meatballs and marinara sauce. My wife doesn't normally do meatballs but found them very good. The bread was not the normal oven baked but an Albania roll that was excellent, had them in Italy, and once again, my wife was happy because Italian oven has the hard crust which I like, but it's a personal taste. What can I say, but the overall dinner was excellent.“

“How do you describe great pizza in 4 words? "Pizza A Modo Mio"My wife and I were in town for a convention and stopped into this little gem for some take out. First of all, when you walk in the aromas in that room are amazing. We placed our order (although it was hard to pick just 1 or 2 things, everything looked so dang good).I ordered the pizza (18 inch) with pepperoni & onions. My wife ordered some different slices of pizza and an order of garlic knots. Everyone working behind the counter were pleasant and personable. I got to talk to the owner (Mike) and his manager (Pete). Boy, you could tell these guys were from New York lol. We grabbed our food, paid the cashier and we were off to the hotel to dive in.The pizza was traditional New York style. Thin slices that were full of flavor even with just 2 toppings. The sauce was amazing and the pizza crust...mmmmm. The garlic knots - well....let's just say they didn't last long. Buttery, garlicy and soft. Sooooo goodWhen we are back in town, we will definitely be stopping here again. Do yourself a favor and give these guys a try, you will thank meWheelchair accessibility: Easy in and easy out“

“Truly one of my favorite restaurants in Charleston. I've been twice and have loved every bite while there. It's a smaller space so if you have a larger group not a bad idea to get a reservation. Also do not sleep on their happy hour - it's a great deal with food and drink. Their Caesar salad is unique and has the best crunch with the seeds addition. We also tried the Korean chicken which was a great share item for the table and packed with flavor. All the pizzas are great but the tiramisu was one of the best I've ever had. I tried to get my husband to go back the next night just to get me one to go. Also - the house ranch and hot honey?! You really cannot go wrong with either. Love everything about Renzo.“

“Okay, so I lived in New York for almost four years & after moving back home, this is the closest I can get to NYC pizza. It is absolutely DELICIOUS with top-notch ingredients —that baked with love and care — and genius parings. My co workers got the BIG CHEESY pizza as my going away present.Needless to say, it’s LAST MEAL WORTHY! Keep up the good work & CHARLESTON KNEADS D’ALS!!“

“This was a tiny place, though there were a couple of seats indoors and picnic tables outside. As the name suggests, ordering by the slice is an option, and doing so got me my food faster than several who ordered fresh pies, as there was a bit of a rush. It was a splendid cheese slice with a bit of basil hiding under the cheese and sharp flavors all around. Ordering a salad was a good decision; it was a sizable salad with mushrooms and nuts and an oil-based dressing which was quite filling and at least a little bit healthy. My garlic knots, not so much, but they were satisfying. I wouldn't put it up there with the top pizzas in Charleston, but for a quick meal by the slice it fit the bill. Note that the grandma pizza is not vegetarian; I've never heard of anchovy in pizza sauce but at least they disclose this if you read the menu.“

“Really tasty pizza. Right on Center Street so it's great to sit there and people watch. They have some great outdoor seating. Inside is pretty small and cramped but still room for five or six tables. They have a bar, which is nice. Best pizza place on the island.“

“I was so hungry I forgot to get a picture! I stopped in around 9:45p for a slice after not having a satisfying dinner (imagine that). I ordered a slice of pepperoni and after about 5 mins or so, I had a piping hot, crispy slice of delicious pizza. The crust was awesome, as was the sauce, cheese and pepperoni. It was a little greasy, so I had to dab with some napkins. Ok, It was a lot greasy. The napkin was soaked in red delicious grease. Others who had some loved it as well. Great place to stop for a big slice. It's small, so seating is limited, but there was seating outside too. If you're staying at the Francis Marion Hotel, it's right across the street. Jaywalk to get there, don't waste a second waiting for the light!“

“There's nothing not to like about this pizza-centric outpost to its sister restaurant, Cuocco Pazzo, located in the same strip center on Johnnie Dodds Blvd. The interior is small and intimate with maybe 10 tables and a two stool 'bar' which also serves as a counter for pick up orders. Beverages are limited to beer, wine and soda. There's 4 appetizers of which three are fried and of course, meatballs in marinara ... three salads - Caesar, Caprese and House, several calzones, 3 paninis and 10 specialty pizzas, one size. We also reviewed a sheet with 7 pasta dishes which seemed odd given these same entrees are offered at Cuocco Pazzo, a few doors away. Our order was simple. We were sharing the Caprese salad ($13.49) and a Carnivoro (Meat Lovers) pizza. Our server, Grazie, advised that they were running out of pepperoni (huh?) and that other meats would be increased. Hub started with a great pour of Chianti, well priced at $7.00/glass. We both enjoyed their take on the Caprese salad - it was a perfect size for sharing. The presentation was lovely ... 8 half moon slices of fresh, seasoned mozzarella, alternating with thin slices of juicy tomato topped with a chiffonade of fresh basil ... accompanied by a nice portion of fresh mixed greens, gently tossed with a yummy balsamic vinegar. The pizza, probably between 12-13 inches was delicious, but, perhaps a bit overpriced at $21.95. The crust was thin, which is my preference. The toppings were tasty ... but, there could have been more and it could have been crisper which knocked my rating down from 5 stars to four. We ordered the mini cannoli to go. They were tasty, but overpriced at $6.00, considering their size. Our server was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back. I love a panini and definitely want to share the Caesar!“

“We had lunch at frothy beard this past Saturday. This spot is just fantastic and one of our favorites. The staff are super nice and really hustle. But they are also happy to hang out and offer recommendationS on tasty beers and good food to try. We scored an impossible burger, the vegan chicken sandwich, and a large fresh salad to share. Food was great. And so were the brews. Put this spot on your regular go to list. You won't be disappointed.“

“Came here with a couple friends on a weekday for dinner and was so happy with this find. I got the 10inch pizza for myself (perfect for one person) and got half bacon Gorgonzola and half Orlando's special. Both were very delicious. Loved the sweet peppers on the Orlando's special. But the bacon Gorgonzola was definitely the one for me - if you like strong tasting cheesy pizza this is for you. The pizza was brought together by a perfectly chewy crust.“

“I pride myself on finding the best pizza places- this one is a hidden gem. The pizza is super fresh and the crust is awesome. They have lots of different options and we’ve never had a bad meal here. Their happy hour is great and most of the staff is great too. It’s a casual place- a good change in pace from the downtown dining scene. The pesto, pepperoni, and mushroom are our top favorites!!“

“They have a huge menu. You can buy pizza fresh and by the slice. They also have salads, pastas, stromboli, calzones, and rolls. We got several things and they were all good. The only thing I was a little unsure about was the fact that the pizza by the slice was sitting out on the counter and they warmed it up before serving it. It seemed like it should have been under a warmer. I didn't know how long it was sitting out like that. They are open late. There's a small dining area, but it's more of a takeout place.“

“This place is so fun!! Being able to play games brings back memories of other pizza places we went to as kids... I would recommend this place to anyone wanting pizza.. it doesn't get any better than the pizza buffet!!The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars all the way is because I ordered my pizza for pickup.. I don't even live a half of a mile away and the pizza was ice cold by the time I got there and the cheese was already hard rather than stringy like.. I personally believe they gave me a pizza they made hours ago and the person who ordered it never showed or some other reason as to why the pizza was old when it had just been ordered.. I called Cici's to inform them about this and 2 girls on the line told me they were not responsible for my pizza being cold when I didn't come in for a couple of hours after ordering it. I told them I left home and drove straight to the restaurant as soon as I ordered it and was there in less than 15 minutes which they had told me when I ordered it that it would be around 45 min wait. I am certain they gave me someone else's pizza who never showed up and that will explain why it was cold. It was getting close to closing time and I didn't have any desire to return there that night I asked if I could come tomorrow night for a fresh hot pizza. They Said no take what you get or cook it yourself if we give you a free pizza then everyone will want a free pizza... I told them I wasn't asking for a free pizza just the pizza I had paid for. I don't know why it took 2 of them to talk to me on rhe phone but they seemed to be encouraging each other to be more and more rude to me and the way they Laughed at each other was beyond annoying. I didn't get a new hot pizza and I have not been back there since this incident.“

“I am not a New Yorker, but I was raised by one and also have been to Brooklyn plenty of times to visit family. I have been to plenty of places in the US that claim it had New York style pizza outside the State. This is the best I have found. I judged my friends choice when she said it was going to be good and I'd like it (she's from Brooklyn). She was correct. I have taken the 40-50 minutes drive (in traffic) just to get this Pizza plenty of times. Totally worth it!“

“Walked in for a dinner for 1 and was immediately seated. The waiter came promptly and took my drink order and read off the specials for the day. Order placed and food came with delight and smells of tastyness flowed off them. Dinner was excellent although I could have used a water refill midway through the meal. Still a must stop if you want delicious foods. I guess I could have asked for a refill, but to be honest I was too busy enjoying the feast. Thank you for feeding me.“

“Delicious pizza & nice staff. Definitely will order again. Super goey cheese & the sauce was thick. Only draw back was the bottom crust was too thin to hold up the toppings (which was just cheese & Pepperoni). Crust itself tasted delicious though“

“The personality of the manager really made it for us, from the moment we walked in the door. He was extremely friendly outgoing and personable which is something so many places are missing these days !The food was amazing as well. Personally I’m not a fan of pizza sauce so we opted for some different pizzas which turned out amazing. The garlic butter is to die for. We had to take some home. I’m not sure if the bread bites or the ultimate white pizza was my favorite. But the boys loved the original zeppoli which had raspberry. I personally didn’t like them but I’m not a fan of icing. We definitely will be back“

“Worst service I have ever had at any restaurant ever. Clearly the staff was all drunk. We placed an order for appetizers and entrées. We were only checked on once by our drunk waitress that thanked us for not drinking our drinks so she didn’t have to refill them. After waiting 65 mins for our appetizers and not getting checked on again I walked to the bar to let them know we were leaving. We were never offered anything for the bad service and the 4 drunk people at the bar then told me they work here as well. I am truly shocked at the lack of professionalism and clearly no regard to guests. I strongly recommend no one eat here and support this business.“

“Uptown Social is a great spot for watching sports, I typically go at least a few times during the NFL season and it's also a really good for March Madness. Along with the super large main floor, they also have an upstairs rooftop bar with a few TVs as well. The food is pretty standard bar food along with some pizzas and other options. One perk is that they have gluten free bread available to sub out for the sandwiches. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich with fries on the gluten free bread. It was pretty good and hit the spot while watching some basketball.“

They make it right in front of you the flour everything, the staff was super wonderful and I feel that it's crazy that this TASTING of pizza is only in the airport. This pizza is crazy and I'm from NY so my credibility is in the state, and I would def rate this pizza 9.1 overall for neopolitan pizza, for any pizza it was crazy good. “I love this pizza, best in town, and impressive for the south! The slice is massive. Thin crust, quality sauce and cheese. It is not greasy and made fresh. There is indoor and outdoor seating but we opted to take ours in a box and eat it by the waterfront. This pizza hits the spot!!! The service is great. Cash payment is preferred, but they do accept credit cards.“

“My husband and I had an early dinner here yesterday while in town. A nurse at East Cooper recommended it to us when I mentioned that I'd like some good eggplant. We were there at about 11:30. Jordan was our server, and she was wonderful! She was friendly, attentive, but not smothering. My husband had the Amalie seafood combo, which included mussels, little neck clams, shrimp and the best, most tender calamari I've ever had. It was served over linguine with a spicy sauce. I ordered the eggplant rolatini with spaghetti, which was also delicious. We both had the Caesar salad, and the dressing was delicious. Everything was perfect. The atmosphere is casual and cosy.“

“Very good pizza, large slices which were a good value. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was that they cook the pizzas and then just reheat a slice when someone comes in. It would be better if people could wait a few more minutes to have a slice cooked fresh. I doubt that would take much more time.“

“OMG! I have not written any reviews in a while. I have NOT had any good pizza in a long time. We usually order pizza delivered. The one that starts with P and H and has been around since I was a kid. Well, it pretty much sucks now. I have tried The B that ends in 's and it was horrible. Papa M- its acceptable if hungry. However, tonight we ordered Famulari's . It was so good. Got The Meats pizza and a Calzone. They were both so fresh and delicious. I'm not Italian. I'm not from NY. I am NOT a pizza expert but I do know that Famulari's was delicious. Thank you so much! Now, I know what restaurant we will order our pizzas in the future~“

“The cheese, spinach ,pepperoni pizza was very good. The waitress that I had did not reflect how the other waitresses were serving their customers with smiles, conversation and quickness. “We ended up choosing this pizza spot after our 6 mile 10K Cooper River Bridge Run in Charleston, SC. The quaint old school pizza joint feel has so many options to choose and not just pizza , pastas sandwiches, salads, and more. The specialty pizzas offered are unique and you can create your own but the topping selections include butternut squash , kale , a variety of cheeses and protein. I chose the crustacean with spicy shrimp and it lived up to its name. Whew hottt !! Yet very tasty and fresh with a pesto base. All pizzas are 12" making it the perfect size and enough for a leftover snack. The staff was very nice and managed all of our orders with efficiency. They also offer vegetarian and gluten free options as well. I love pizza and sometimes you don't know what you may get when trying something new but this was a great choice !!“

“One of the most kid friendly places I've been to. So first off, you can only go during good weather. It's fully outside. There is a little area with an overhead and picnic tables but I saw balloons setting up so I believe there was a bday party happening. A lot of shade and some umbrellas so my fellow pale people, don't fear. There's an old pick up truck converted to a play area with 3 slides, a pole and a few climbing options. So super fun for kids but hard to pull them away. Baby changing table in the gender neutral bathroom. Now for the important stuff: we had the cheese pizza and the mushroom white pizza. Very thin crust, charring on the crust and bottom, great cheese and great sauce. The white had scoops of ricotta. We all loved it. Cute little bar with about 4/5 seats.“
