We were seated immediately, right at the front of the restaurant by the big windows that were streaming light into the bar area. “We have been excited to try this restaurant. The service was very good and it was not too crowded like everything else in North Charleston. My wife had a wrap and enjoyed it. I got the burger with an egg on it. It could have been good but the egg was already broken leaving the bottom bun soggy ?‍?. And then I ordered medium well and it came out medium rare. I actually did not even eat but half due to this. We are not ones to complain but I do give very unbiased reviews. I think this place has a lot of potential and I am chalking up my burger as a mistake. Maybe try them out.“

I had the Chicken Bolognese which was also enough for 2 people. It was delicious! Both dishes came with a small salad and a side of pasta. They have a limited food menu of common bar food, we had the the mozzarella sticks and jalapeño poppers and those were some of the best I’ve ever had. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting pizza.. it doesn't get any better than the pizza buffet!!The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars all the way is because I ordered my pizza for pickup.. I don't even live a half of a mile away and the pizza was ice cold by the time I got there and the cheese was already hard rather than stringy like.. I personally believe they gave me a pizza they made hours ago and the person who ordered it never showed or some other reason as to why the pizza was old when it had just been ordered.. I called Cici's to inform them about this and 2 girls on the line told me they were not responsible for my pizza being cold when I didn't come in for a couple of hours after ordering it. I told them I left home and drove straight to the restaurant as soon as I ordered it and was there in less than 15 minutes which they had told me when I ordered it that it would be around 45 min wait. I am certain they gave me someone else's pizza who never showed up and that will explain why it was cold. It was getting close to closing time and I didn't have any desire to return there that night I asked if I could come tomorrow night for a fresh hot pizza. They Said no take what you get or cook it yourself if we give you a free pizza then everyone will want a free pizza... I told them I wasn't asking for a free pizza just the pizza I had paid for. I don't know why it took 2 of them to talk to me on rhe phone but they seemed to be encouraging each other to be more and more rude to me and the way they Laughed at each other was beyond annoying. I didn't get a new hot pizza and I have not been back there since this incident.“

“The convenience store you have to walk through to get to the restaurant ordering window is one of the nastiest I've ever seen in my life, BUT Rai Shaun's food was fantastic. I had lima beans and rice with a big piece of hambone in it and shrimp and grits. My wife had the okra soup, fried fish and the best crab cake we've ever eaten (I had to steal a taste) at any price. Rai Shaun is a great cook and super friendly guy. Good luck and I hope you can open a sit down restaurant soon and get out of that convenience store.“

“I stopped by for a quick work lunch after searching on Yelp. Plenty of street parking. Short line inside, looked like a blue collar kinda place. Walk up to the counter and there's a steam table full of meat and beans. I ordered the Carne Asada Special burrito. It was full of meat, beans, rice, and guac. Very friendly counter service. Prices are decent and your order is made quickly. They dumped a scoop of chips in my bag... a little grease on the paper bag never hurt anyone! Salsa is nice and spicy. Went back to work and ate it up. Good flavor but coulda used some pico inside to round it out. I'll be back to try something else next time.“

“The food is pretty good. Definitely a takeout kind of place. The downside is they use sweet and sour sauce for everything. Like the sesame chicken taste like chicken rolled in sweet and sour sauce then sprinkled with sesame seeds. That's one of my favorite dishes, so it's disappointing that it doesn't taste like sesame chicken. The fried rice, lo mein, beef/chicken broccoli, crab rangoons are some of my favorites from here.“

“What a wonderful stay we had at the North Charleston Marriott!! Jessica at the front desk is absolutely incredible!! She was very sweet, professional and accommodating to all the guests…a true gem! Housekeeping also did a great job and we love that they even offer housekeeping since some hotels don’t in these post-Covid days. This hotel is in a great location, just off I-26, close to the outlet stores and restaurants, but far enough away from all the traffic in that area. Our room was a King Junior Suite and it was very spacious, with one and a half bathrooms, and a comfortable couch. Not a lot of drawer storage for clothes (2 small drawers in the desk & 1 under the safe), but there was plenty of room to hang clothes to the left of the closet, so it all worked out. You can also hang some things in the small armoire/closet, but the items hang front to back, so it’s a little difficult to access things. The safe was plenty roomy and the bath and bed linens were nice. The bed is softer than our bed at home, but we both slept pretty well. We loved the walk-in shower and the water pressure and temperature were truly great! The bathrooms had built-in night lights behind the mirrors and the bed had this really cool ambient lighting above/behind the headboard that could be turned on or off. Lots of extra seating in this room with several chairs and the L shaped couch. The tv selection was just “ok”, in part because several of the channels, such as HGTV, did not come in. The wifi worked well at times, but no so well at other times. The AC worked well and there were plenty of places to charge your electronic devices. We ate dinner at the restaurant and Kelly & Becca were our severs on different nights. The food at the restaurant, HC Provisions, was excellent!! We had the wings, the chicken and waffles, the Caesar salad and the housemaid chips and they were all excellent! This hotel seems to be a popular venue for events. There was one going on Saturday night and we noticed several business functions going on during our stay as well. Crystal and Sheila were in the M Club Lounge at breakfast time and they were both great and did a great job of keeping everything well stocked. The breakfast offered scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, yogurt, cereal, muffins and pastries, hot oatmeal and biscuits and gravy till 10am. During the rest of the day, you could pop in for coffee, water, sodas and juices as well as snacks such as chips and cookies. The evening offered hors d’oeuvres but the one night (Monday) we arrived at 7:20pm, everything was already being cleaned up, so I guess we missed it. The outdoor area offered a pool and two fire pit areas which would be great to sit and catch up with friends and family if you were here with a small group. We had such a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel and we would stay here again.“

“My wife and I were visiting Charleston for the first time this past week and found our way over to Lo-Fi brewing on Saturday night. It was a fun time and the Blueberry Wheat and the Farm Pils were great beers. It was a quiet evening at the time and we found ourselves having a blast talking to the bartender and a couple of other patrons.I wanted to thank our bartender, Britney (I think that was her name. I'm sorry if I got that wrong), and the other two people there that night (I'm sorry I also forgot their names). They were friendly, welcoming, and fun to talk to. They told us all about their beers and the brewery. Moreover, as we talked to them about our trip so far, they gave us a list of other great restaurants, bars, and activities to check out during our trip to Charleston. I can't thank them enough for chatting with us and sharing great ideas for things to do in Charleston!“
