“It has been a while since we tried Jake's Place.. I was pleased at the offerings on the menu; fish had hushpuppies with it, slaw available, and of course, french fries were on the menu. I can't remember if there were white beans or not, and I like white beans or baked beans with my fish. The fish was really good with no "muddy" flavor, and the portion was plentiful. Their burger was good. It did seem a little higher priced than other similar food options. What will possibly prevent me from returning is the vibe that I got from the tin pan and basket on which the food was served. Also, the "hushpuppies" didn't seem to have any onions in them, and they were a "sweet" cornbread, which I have never had in hushpuppies before. If these two things were changed as well as the huge potholes in the back parking lot, I would be excited about Jakes' Place as another meat and 3 option.“

“Stopped by to try their new breakfast this week. There were so many tasty options; it was hard to decide. I had the Sutton Scramble, and it was delicious! The cinnamon roll casserole is a MUST try as well! Will definitely be returning. Also, the staff is so friendly and attuned to your needs. Our Place Cafe is the perfect local spot. Was there on a Friday night and you can see that they have management presence walking throughout the dining room talking to tables, great job! Food was fresh and good. From crafted cocktails, crispy avocado rice, bacon wrapped dates, lamb that melted in your mouth, so much of the newly crafted autumn menu that we were able to enjoy, plus staff that made us feel like we were the most important people in the room (we are talking especially about you, Ally!). “Great catfish dinner! I was in town for the National Cornbread Festival and picked up dinner from here the night before. It was so delicious and that I did pick up the next day. The catfish fillets and the whole fried catfish was fantastic.....and all those sides(6 to be exact)! Can't beat the taste of the food, taste or price. Had him write his name on a paper and placed it on a wall so everyone can see. We will come back when we will be close to Nashville.“

The bar b que chicken salad was great but the buffalo chicken salad was so hot I could not eat it. I expect it to be spicy but this was way over board. “We always like the food at PDK but today we had an experience worth sharing. They were busy with the after church crowd so our food took a little long. “The BEST hot chicken and a true vintage East Nashville experience. The hot chicken is legit, but if you like catfish….this is it. The spicy catfish is 2nd to none and don’t forget the green beans. Seriously the best green beans I’ve ever had in my life. Bolton’s for life!“

“Local joes is one of the last good meat and threes in MJ. I'm not from Tennessee originally but when I moved here the idea of a cafeteria being available in many different places was amazing (I may have gained 20 lbs my first few years cuz I can't say no to a meat and some sides!)! After the closure of Courtney's, Local Joes has been a good replacement. They have fun family events like balloon animals sometimes and even when it's busy they deal with it pretty well. It's somewhere I would be proud to take my family if they ever decided to come to Tennessee to visit! I'm giving 4/5 because their food consistency is not always 100. In my photo my food was lukewarm and kinda just OK, but I've definitely gone before and it's been some of the best food I've ever had. They also go around giving cookies sometimes and that home style touch is what MJ is all about!“

“Spent a week at the Gaylord hotel on a trip, the one and only Jack Daniel’s bar became my go to very quickly. I appreciate the rough around the edges atmosphere and wood accents of the restaurant. The food is great and portions are good too. Little on the high side of pricing but it’s a hotel bar so just prepare for that. Wayne, Laura, and Angela are all very friendly and hard working staff who go out of their way to make sure you’re satisfied and serviced well. It didn’t take long to feel like a regular and always looked forward to hanging out with staff. I can recommend jack Daniel’s bar if you’re staying the Gaylord!“

“Went to this location for the first time ever going to a Cracker Barrel. What a great place. Our server was, Serena. He was so knowledgeable about favourite meals to the new steak that’s offered. He was friendly, quick and explained everything to make our visit so pleasant. The portions were huge and tasty. Thank you so much for everything. The gift shop was just a bonus.“

“Cheddar's was so good today! We haven't been to Cheddar's in years. This afternoon we thought we would stop in for a late lunch, and we are so glad that we did. The lunch rush was over, so we got right in and seated very quickly. Our server was fabulous, and our food was delicious. I had forgotten how pretty the restaurant was! You'll see in some of the pictures I took. I could have looked at the fishtank all day. Thanks Cheddar's for a wonderful lunch. We'll be back again soon.“
