“The City Cafe is a true gem that I wish we had found much sooner right by the square in Murfreesboro. The cinnamon bun was so much better than anything Cinnabon makes. I enjoyed the Western omelet with a Bisket, my wife had two eggs over easy with true fried potatoes (not those cut squares other restaurants force on you) and biskets with gravy. Granted the gravy needed some cream added for flavor but it was still good.“

“Service at drive thru was impeccable and very friendly. I ordered whiting plate with green beans, collard greens & cornbread....large portions and very tasty.“

“We enjoyed the hometown feel of this place. Solid choice for lunch while touring the Stones River National Battlefield nearby. Service was friendly and efficient. Cornbread served with plates was delicious and chocolate pie was a good treat.“

We will be back, one note, they don’t have pepper vinegar for the greens which I love, but it is well worth your time! Try them, oh and they have a poker night too. ?“
