The atmosphere was great and the live music was very good. Service was not. I rated the food a 2 because my order was terrible. Our server was nice but either forgot to add my order or got it wrong. I had the shrimp and grits, shrimp was overcooked and charred on one side and the grits were crunchy around the edges. Probably because they put it under a broiler which ruined it. This was my first visit to Soul Murfreesboro and overall it’s nice restaurant. I’m glad they chose to come to the Boro as it’s good to have another Black owned restaurant in the area. I enjoyed my food and the service from our server MK C was excellent. She was very attentive, patient and accommodating. We were a party of 9. Our entrees were a mix of brunch and lunch. We drove up from Memphis to celebrate my sisters' birthday and this place was recommended to us. Atmosphere was alive with music and the band was good. The food was such a disappointment.
