“Cozy, hole in the wall, soul food. Dated interior, but clean and functional. I had green beans, sweet potatoes, cheezy hashbrowns, and meat loaf. Beans are perfectly seasoned, but slightly over cooked. Sweet potatoes have tiny marshmallows and are soft and sweet. The cheesy potatoes are not overly salty, with crunchy edges, and the cheddar cheese is the real thing. The meatloaf portion is generous, smooth and meaty (no gristle!). Its covered with a tangy tomato sauce that perks up the flavor. What ever they spice it with is not overwhelming, but adds a warm after taste in the mouth. I love it! The restaurant has the standard sodas. All of the desserts are homemade, too! I prefer owner operated restaurants over chains, and Jeff's hits a home run on this meal! OH! and the meal cost me $20, including tip. Great value!“

“This Cheddar's was THE best. We've been to different locations in Florida, Indiana, and now Tennessee. We were lucky enough to have Jordan as our server. He was amazing. Promote that guy to Senior Staff Trainer. What an awesome experience! I think we'll actually stop here again on our next road trip in hopes of checking in with Jordan.“

“I love Slim Chickens food....but after tonight, I'm a fan of their service as well! We placed a delivery order through the app. Our food showed up but the driver didn't even ring the bell. They dropped our food off on the sidewalk. We figured out it was there because our dog barked when they pulled out of the driveway. Our food was right....hot and fresh but the 3 dessert jars were missing...which shouldn't be an issue except they are fairly pricey (but totally worth it). I called the delivery persons phone and he said "no english" and hung up on me. I sent a text to him hoping that he was using Google translate and he came back to our house. My husband went to meet him in the drive and all he said was "that's all they gave me. call store". We called the store and the manager got on the phone. I explained the situation to him and he remembered putting the 3 jars with our order so he knew the driver had kept the desserts. He gave me a choice of a refund or he would send our desserts to us....no questions asked. Our desserts showed up 15 minutes later by a great driver (Emma) and all ended well. Great service and food by the Thompson Lane location!!!!!“

“Visited 4/13/24 for the first time. I'm gluten intolerant and knew there was nothing on the menu for me from looking previously but I went anyway, oh boy am I glad I did! Decided to take my Benedryl tabs and ordered chicken? and waffles , fried potatoes?/onions and scrambled eggs??. My sister ordered the breakfast pizza?, of which I had some of too! I savored everything! The potatoes and onions are country-style while the waffles are just my style and not overcooked or hard. But that breakfast pizza crust...the BEST crust I've ever, EVER had and I've had lots of pizza. Insanely good?‍?. Our waitperson was a bit slow in the beginning with our order but she was very apologetic and very attentive and professional. My only minus is at that early time of the afternoon the music, while sounding great, was too loud for the time of day. No wait, I love loud music, but there's a time a place. I was immediately thinking of friends to bring but also thinking of friends who wouldn't appreciate the food, decor or experience because I would take them early afternoon and they too would find the music too loud for the occasion. To "ME", morning to early evening is for light conversation, but unless you're a lip-reader, which I am, or have very good hearing, which i do, you're going to have a hard time hearing what's being said across the table. Otherwise, Food: top-notch. Parking: good. Waitstaff: friendly & professional. Oh, and I want to come back and try the drinks ????? because they look amazing and reasonably priced. ?“
