I went on a Saturday night with 5 other family members. We were met at the door and asked to wait outside because there was no more space. Asked to please let some patrons leave... It's freezing, but we did. Some people actually came out 3-4 and said " we're leaving, you guys can go in". So some of us tried to go in. Again met at the door and asked NOT TO COME IN!! As we're being stopped again, White people were coming and going.. we finally realized that Blacks did not seem to fit in.. we knew what the establishment offered and it's pricing. I'm not sure if they just didn't like Black folks or thought we wouldn't be able to afford the $25-26 absinthe pours... Or, understood what truffles were. We tried 3xs to go in.. and were turned away each time. And we were not loud and roudy, nor dressed inappropriately. No one ever said anything to us except not to come in. We asked if there was a wait list... No.. just wait outside. Hard to believe that this happens in 2023. I have video of us waiting and people going in and out...
