This restaurant is the true meaning of southern hospitality. Great food and their corn pudding is wonderful. It's truly a blessing to have such a wonderful place here in Nashville!
My friend recently had surgery and has medical documentation of her condition. When she presented her medical documentation staff member Ruby advised that the owner did not allow the to recognize the medical issue or allow them to discount her meal. Previously she was charged the kids rate dilute to her condition. I reached out to the owner via email and he nor his staff have responded. Several of my friends and family swear by this restaurant and enjoy dining here. It’s hard for me to support anyone who treats people with medical disabilities in such a manner. I’ll continue to share this horrible experience until someone from Monells speaks with me regarding my concerns.

My daughter and myself ate at Monell’s and the food was very good. The seating arrangement not so good. I don’t have a problem eating lazy Susan style but they sat us at a table with all college kids that didn’t have very good manners. They passed the food among themselves and then sat it down and so we spend a lot of time asking to please pass the food if there was anything left in the bowl which most of the time there was not so we had to wait for the server to come around. So all in all the food was not worth what we paid for it. Not sure I would eat there again.
