“Had to stop at the "original" source of nashville hot chicken and phew, am I glad I did. Definitely a different taste from some of the others! I've had some spots that have sweeter spice, some with spicey spice, but this was perfectly balanced. I didn't even have a chance to take a photo it was so good. As soon as thay first bite of medium level heat hit my lips, it was over! The whole half bird order was gone before I even knew what happened. And them greens!!!! Go get you some of the king of nashville hot chicken!“

“This is the best fish sandwich in Nashville. The fish sandwich is like you would make at home served on light bread. The classic sandwich comes with mustard pickle onion and hot sauce. This is carry-out only so pull into the parking lot and eat while hot.“

“The BEST hot chicken and a true vintage East Nashville experience. The hot chicken is legit, but if you like catfish….this is it. The spicy catfish is 2nd to none and don’t forget the green beans. Seriously the best green beans I’ve ever had in my life. Bolton’s for life!“

I've been twice in one week already so I'm very convinced that this is by far the best soul food establishment we have in Nashville. Hands down... I got the chicken & dressing with mashed potatoes and green beans the first time, then came back later in the week and got hot lemon pepper fried chicken wings with macaroni and cheese and greens. Both plates were excellent and now I have my new favorite spot for home cooking! Just when I thought we didn't have anymore good meat & 3 restaurants.“

“I was driving thru Nashville and stopped here for a sandwich to go. The restaurant itself is typical of most fast food places, but it was fine. The sandwich and sides were ready and bagged up in about 5 minutes. I ordered the 2nd hottest, I think it was called capsicum. The sandwich had good flavor, a solid spicy burn and the sides were really good (potato salad and cole slaw). Good stuff!“

“Hubby and I started off with lunch there. Both of us being undecided so we ordered a little bit of everything. I had the chicken and dressing and he ordered the fried chicken and a piece of pork chop. Everything was so good,we ordered a plate to go for dinner. Make sure you have cash,they do not accept anything else. It's a little hole in the wall place, nothing fancy, but the food is amazing. We will definitely be back. Comfort food hits the spot.“

“Ordered for the first time today was very skeptical on if it would be good. But OMG it was amazing!! I got chicken tenders Mac n cheese cabbage and banana pudding amazing!! The cabbage was bussin then I knew the banana pudding would be too! And it was! Ordered a vegetable plate and chess square also thought since everything been good I’d try the fruit tea. H&T u guys are great! Hats off to the cook!!!“
