Southern Restaurants in Shelbyville

“I don’t normally write reviews, most of them are bad. I was in shelbyville today and Google restaurants near me. I came across this one and decided to check it out, Just because it is a Mom and Pop restaurant. I was greeted at the door by a very nice gentleman, Which sent me under some old signs that reminded me of my uncle who has passed. Waitress, Pam treated me like I was part of the family and talk to me like she’s known me for years. Mind you this is my first time ever going. The food was amazing, Just down the Earth people and homestyle food. I wish I could go back soon, but I work on the days that they’re open. Maybe one of these days. I can’t wait for my T-shirt. Pam got my number. So when they get new T-shirts and I can get one. Thank you so much for your service Pam you were great. Also, a big shout out to the cooks. Great food guys.“

“Yall!!!!!!! I had the shrimp and grits with a side of fried cabbage. It was delicious!!! Grits very creamy yet thick. Shrimp cooked perfectly with andouille sausage that had the perfect spice to it. The sauce on top was seasoned perfectly. Cabbage fried perfectly and had a bit of sweetness which was different but trust me a good different!! Service was great. Severs were very attentive. Nice and clean for an antique looking place. I will be back to try something different but I hope they know I’m going to wear them out over this shrimp and grits.“
